Story
Meet Marvel! A spirited almost two-year-old Carolina Dog/Basenji mix from Randallstown, MD, whose essence is a vibrant burst of joy wrapped in a luxuriously tan coat. Marvel is a bundle of energy, always ready for the next thrilling adventure! Whether it’s bounding through the woods on a hike, joining you for a jog, or joyfully chasing a ball, Marvel’s zest for life will keep you on your toes. His sleek, athletic build and bright, eager eyes tell the story of a dog ready to explore the world by your side. Marvel's favorite pastimes include outdoor activities, where he truly shines! He’s a hiking pro who loves discovering new trails, but he’s equally happy with a good, old-fashioned game of fetch. This clever boy also enjoys mental challenges. Puzzle toys? Marvel’s on it! He’s already mastered tricks like “sit” and “spin” and is eager to learn more. With his quick mind and willingness to please, Marvel’s ready to tackle whatever new skills you want to teach him. Marvel is looking for an active family who shares his love for adventure and can keep up with his energetic lifestyle. A fenced yard would be a dream come true, but he’s perfectly content with daily outings and exercise. He’s a social pup who enjoys the company of other dogs and has shown that he can live peacefully with cats, given a little time to adjust. Marvel also does wonderfully in public and is happy to meet new human friends. Training has been an important part of Marvel’s journey, and he’s come a long way. He’s made strides in overcoming resource guarding, and to support his continued progress, a session with a professional canine behaviorist will be included to ease his transition into your home. Marvel is crate-trained and comfortable being alone for short periods, making him a great fit for families who may not always be home. Marvel’s charm and intelligence make him stand out, and with his obedience training, he could even have a future in the show ring! He’s neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations—ready to join his new loving home. Are you ready to embark on adventures with Marvel? Reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com to learn more about welcoming this affectionate companion into your life!

Story
Available in TX, PNW and NE! Meet Ashley, an adorable 5 month old Carolina mix puppy, weighing 50 pounds and full of playful energy! This sweet girl is ready to find her forever home! Our little learner is picking up commands like "sit," "lay down," and "leave it," and she's showing great skill in loose leash walking and recall training already. Living with a medium-sized dog and two cats currently, she's friendly and playful, eagerly watching and learning from her furry friends. She would thrive in a home with another dog, as their presence helps her warm up to new things and experiences more easily. Though she can be a bit shy in new situations, her curiosity helps her adjust quickly to new experiences and people. One of her charming traits is how quickly she settles down at night in her crate, making bedtime a breeze. Despite her young age, she has the ability to relax on her own and will often put herself down for naps throughout the day. If you're looking for a loving, intelligent companion who's eager to learn and grow, this playful pup might be the perfect match for you! To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. To apply directly for Ashley click the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-521 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Story
Hi, my name is Ares! I was rescued from the South to find a new home. I am a sweet boy who would make a great hiking companion. I may be able to live with another dog as long as we are introduced slowly. Cats would be new to me. I would do best in a home with older kids.

MEET HONEY!Honey is a beautiful honey-colored lady who is a little over a year old! She enjoys yummy treats, long walks and doing the zoomies. She is a bit nervous in new situations (but who isn`t!) so she will need someone who will give her patience to come out of her shell. Honey would do best outside of the city. If you need a Bit-O-Honey in your life then this is the lady for you.Honey is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team. For more information on Honey or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170.
