Dog's Name: Baby Marley (MAR1224ALAFD)Estimated Breed: Carolina Dog mixApproximate Age: 10 weeks Approximate Weight: 10 LBS Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $500DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hi there, I'm Marley. I was rescued by K-9 Lifesavers from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. I'm still a puppy, learning about this big world. Sometimes, it can be a bit overwhelming, so I can be a bit shy. But don't worry, I warm up quickly, especially when there are other dogs around. I love playing with them, it's my favorite thing! I'm sweet too, I've been told. I like to give gentle puppy kisses and snuggle up close. I'm still learning, but I'm eager to please. At my young age, I am in my prime for training and socialization too. I promise to be the best friend you've ever had. Adopting me would mean endless love, companionship, and a loyal friend. I can't wait to meet you! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
