Story
Meet Andy: Andy is about a 12 week old (as of January 15, 2025) Carolina dog mix (our best guess) that weighs about 20 pounds. This cute little litter of 4 (Andy, Annie, Lainey and Izzy) were found as strays in Meridian, MS with their mom. The rescuer is keeping the mom (a short red hound mix that is 32 pounds) and asked for help finding the pups good homes. Andy and his sister, Annie, are currently being fostered in the Mountville, PA area and would love to meet their forever families! Andy is your typical playful, curious, loving puppy! As a puppy, Andy will need some patience while he works on his house training. We would love for Andy to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely. Andy is up to date on his puppy shots and will be neutered when age appropriate. If you are interested in adding this adorable little one into your life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/genericYou can learn about the adoption process by visiting:  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.  Dog's Name:  Pup Chip (CHI0125ALAMD)Estimated Breed:  Carolina Dog mixApproximate Age:  6 months      Approximate Weight:  27.8 LBS Currently Living at:   FosterAdoption Fee:  $500DOG'S DESCRIPTION:  Hello, I'm Pup Chip! I'm sweet as sugar and twice as nice. I love playing with my friends. I'm gentle with everyone I meet, and I've got energy to spare. I've been told I'm quite smart, too! I'm almost potty trained, which I'm super proud of. And when playtime's over, there's nothing I love more than curling up for a cuddle. I'm a real cuddle bug! I get along great with other dogs, so if you have a furry friend at home, we'll be best pals in no time. So, why should you adopt me? Well, I'm friendly, playful, and I've got a whole lot of love to give. I promise to be your loyal companion, and I can't wait to find my forever home with you. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  . Story
Miss Pennie was actually my brothers dog and we tried to make things work, but we currently have three other dogs and she likes to be the queen of the castle lol. She is the sweetest snuggle bug and gets along amazing with my six year old and 11 year old and all their friends and has never shown any signs of aggression towards any humans. We also have cats and guinea pigs with open cages and have had no problems. She just struggles with some dominance issues with other dogs so would definitely do best in a 1 dog household. She does need a vet visit for sure and has not been spayed yet. She is currently about 8 months old, born 6/23/24 and I can get her purebred paperwork from my brother.
