Story
Milli is a 4 year old mixed breed. She weighs almost 60 pounds (of muscle) and is house trained. She is very very loyal and loves to be right next to you. She is so sweet and loves attention. She loves all people and is good with children as well. She has been fully professionally trained by 2nd Chance K9 Training and that training and lifetime support will be transferred to anyone who adopts Milli. Unfortunately she needs to be in an only dog home as she does not get along well with other animals. The trainer has had her interact with other dogs under her strict supervision and control but Milli’s exposure to other animals needs to be as minimal as possible without a professional trainer present. The trainer will work with the adopter to make sure they can safely take Milli to the vet as needed. She is one of the trainer’s favorite clients and would be such a great addition to a home without other pets. Please consider giving this sweetheart a loving home!

Story
Meet Kaleigh, a delightful 4 year 5 month-old Carolina dog mix weighing approximately 39 pounds. Kaleigh is a unique and sweet pup who, while not getting along with other dogs, has a heart full of love to share. This sweet girl is incredibly affectionate, always eager to shower her human companions with love and attention. Kaleigh's true passion lies in playtime, particularly with her beloved dog toys. Another thing that brings immense joy to Kaleigh is visiting the lake. She adores the water and the opportunity to take a refreshing dip. Watching her play by the lake is a heartwarming experience, and it's clear that she's in her element. Perhaps one of her most endearing qualities is her excellent behavior in the car. Kaleigh is a perfect travel companion. It's important to note that Kaleigh may not be comfortable around other dogs, so she would thrive as the sole pet in her new home. If you're interested in adopting Kaleigh please fill out an application online or call the Humane Society of Forsyth County at 770-887-6480. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Thursday 11-5 or Friday and Saturday 1-5. Kaleigh says come and meet me!

Story
Meet Amos! Amos was chained outside in rural South Georgia - his owner in jail, and surrendered by his family, putting him at risk for immediate euthanasia. The scarring on his neck and indentations from collar let us know that he had lived his whole life on that chain. Amos is under 2 and is a low rider - beyond adorable with an incredibly soft coat. He's loving romping around his foster's yard with all of his new dog friends but he can't wait to find his Forever Family! Interested in Adopting? Story
Hi there! I'm Sally, a big girl with an even bigger heart. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's always ready for a fun time, I'm your gal! I absolutely love playing with toys-stuffed animals, squeaky toys, you name it! I have a medium energy level, so I'm happy to lounge around with you, but I also enjoy going on long walks. I'll admit, I get a little excited at the beginning and might pull on the leash, but don't worry, I settle down quickly and enjoy the stroll.Because of my size and strength, I'm looking for an experienced owner who knows how to handle a strong dog like me. Sometimes I can get a bit mouthy when I'm overstimulated, so I need someone who can help me stay calm and focused. Meeting new people is one of my favorite things. I get all soft and wiggly with excitement and basically beg for pets! But given how excited I can get sometimes, children are too much for me. As for other furry friends, I should be the only pet in your home-I like having all the attention to myself! I'm super motivated by food (who isn't, right?) and eager to learn. I'm still working on my house training, but I'm learning fast with a little patience and consistency. If you're up for the challenge and ready to welcome a loving, playful, and loyal friend into your life, I'm here waiting for you!My friends at Barking Hound Village are setting me and my new family up to start out on the right paw (so to speak!) and are gifting three training sessions to help us bond and keep my training consistent.
