Journey has been at the rescue for close to 3 years! Despite his lengthy stay he has continued to be incredibly sweet and affectionate. He is not only friendly towards humans, but also plays well with other dogs, making him an ideal companion for a multi-dog household. He is playful - loves toys. Journey also enjoys meeting new people, always hoping that one of the new humans will take him home. It is hard to believe that this friendly guy has been in rescue for most of his life. Brooke Dean is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! This sweet, playful pup adores people, kids, and other dogs. She’s full of love and will happily jump up for kisses! Brooke enjoys playing with toys, entertaining herself, and romping with other dogs. She loves walks and is doing great with house training. While she prefers not to be crated alone, she’s not destructive outside of it. She’s eager to learn, already sitting for treats, and working on "paw." So far she's done great with house training and walking on the leash. She's not a huge fan of the crate and won't go in willingly but it's a work in progress. She does eventually settle after a little crying. She loves toys and treats. Although Brooke is a tiny girl she doesn't let that stop her! She is able to jump pretty high, and is always down for a snuggle.

She does Soo well with all.  Layne is a tad timid with new people; she does better with females but lives just fine with my husband. She is coming around to him after 2 months but we think a female-only home would be best for her.  I would like to see her go to a home with another friendly dog to help her confidence and a fenced yard where she can play fetch and run freely.  She is pee shy on a leash with strangers and needs a yard to roam to do her business until she warms up to you. she is house trained and walks well on a leash once she has warmed up to her new person.  We all love Layne girl at our house. She is easy and pretty quiet. All she wants in life is a gentle touch and someone to love her and of course the yummiest treats . Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Sandy is an adorable, loving, and playful young girl with a heart full of joy. She was found abandoned next to a cyanide waste runoff, and it was sheer luck that a compassionate plant worker spotted her in time. Recognizing the danger, he managed to keep her safe until his shift was over, at which point she hopped right into his car, clearly ready for a new chapter in life. After a visit to the local animal shelter, Sandy was taken home by her rescuer, who couldn't bear to let her stay in the overcrowded shelter. She's been flourishing in a loving foster home, where she's shown her true personality: a friendly, social, and incredibly smart pup! Sandy is great with dogs of all sizes, including her first foster sibling, a tiny 6 lb micro dachshund. She's been socialized with many dogs through doggy daycare, where she's done wonderfully.
