Story
8 year old mixed breed 38lbs. Tucker lives with cats, a dog, and a toddler. He loves to cuddle, go on walks, and is very food-motivated! He knows several tricks (sit, stay, lay down, shake, play dead, etc) and has no health problems. I have a folder with all vaccinations and vet visits documented and he would come with a leash, harness, collar, and crate. He free-feeds on dry dog food and loves laying out in the sun. I love him, but he needs more attention that we are unable to give due to having a toddler. He was adopted at 10 weeks from Hopalong Animal Rescue in Marin. He doesn’t get along with our neighbors dogs and would do best in a home without other dogs. He does get anxious when there are fireworks and will need a dark room to hide in on the 4th of July and New Years Eve.

Story
Benji is a hoot! This playful fella has all the happy antics of a young pup, but the experience to know some basics to being in a home. Benji walks good on leash, has good house-training manners, and enjoys a good romp in the yard before settling in for the night. Benji is at a great size too, not too big or too small at 40 pounds. His lineage is a mystery, but we're guessing there might be some Retriever in there? Otherwise he's pure American Shelter Dog and 100% good boy. He has done well at the shelter hanging out with other dogs, but has shown jealousy tendencies when he's in a home, so he would do best as an only dog at home. Benji would be a great choice for someone looking for a friend that can still keep up on walks or hikes, but is over the puppy stages of things. Benji is approximately 6 years old and weighs 40 pounds. He's neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on all his flea/tick/heartworm preventatives! Interested in adopting? Story
Joey is the sweetest boy who had an unimaginable start. A Good Samaritan called Animal Control to report seeing Joey left in a wire crate in the neighbor's backyard with no food or water. He was very emaciated when animal control confiscated him. We are thrilled to be able to give him the second chance he deserves. Joey is thriving with a wonderful Every Pet’s Dream foster family. Joey is a young, mischievous, loving, affectionate, playful, sweet, snuggly pup! Energy Level? Typical puppy level energy House trained? Mostly.  Still some accidents but doing well Describe how they are on leash? Great.  A little pulling, but not excessive.  Describe how they are with other dogs? Good. A little nervous but not skidding. Friendly and interested  Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they? He did fine meeting a cat, but of course, slow safe introductions are always recommended. Commands they know? Learning to sit, leave it, no, and stay  What are their favorite things? Playing with the resident dog in his foster home and snuggling.  He really loves going on walks. What do they need to work on?  Not getting into mischief! Basic commands. Your home will need to be puppy proofed  as he hasn't learned that everything isn't a chew toy, including your shoes and socks. How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  Joey  tends to sneak into things when he’s alone and make mischief. Hasn’t been alone more than 1 hour at a time.  He needs to be confined to his crate for safety. Where do they sleep? In his dog bed What is their ideal home? Joey would love to be in a home with another dog to play with. With a family that will love on him and give him attention, walks and lots of pets. We have guesstimated Joey's Breed.  We have not completed his DNA. Our Adoption fee is $325.   For adoption consideration or to meet our dogs , please complete our online application:   www.everypetsdream.org/adopt  and  we will have everything we need to know to call you back and set up an appointment.  Follow us:  Facebook  and  Instagram   September 30, 2024, 12:21 am
