Story
Meet Caleb – A Loyal and Intelligent Companion * Gender: Male * Age: 2 years * Weight: 18 kg * Breed: Shiba mix Caleb’s story is one of resilience. He was abandoned in a park and brought to a shelter where he was placed on the euthanasia list before being rescued. Understandably, he feels a bit nervous in unfamiliar environments, likely due to the trauma of being confined at the shelter. When Caleb first arrived at a training facility, he showed signs of caution and guardedness. However, within just a couple of hours, he began to approach willingly and happily accepted treats, eventually allowing himself to be petted. Over time, his affectionate and playful personality emerged. Caleb knows basic commands like "sit" and "paw" and responds well to people, showing a lively and eager-to-please demeanor once he feels comfortable. Caleb gets along well with dogs of a similar size and enjoys playing with them. While occasional rough play can lead to minor disagreements, he responds immediately to verbal correction and stops the behavior. He also shows interest in smaller dogs and, with proper introductions, can coexist peacefully without any aggression. Caleb is a social dog who likes meeting new friends, greeting them with curiosity and sniffing before moving on. Highly intelligent and eager to learn, Caleb would thrive with an adopter who can provide proper training and guidance. He has the potential to become a well-mannered companion with consistent discipline and structure. He’s resource-friendly, sharing treats without guarding them, and gets along well with both humans and other dogs. On walks, Caleb follows his handler nicely without pulling, making him a joy to take out. While he shows no signs of aggression, he may do best as an only dog or in a household with another dog of a similar size for companionship. Caleb is ready to find his forever home where he can continue to flourish with love, patience, and structure. Could you be the one to give him the life he deserves? 🐾💕

Story
This beautiful redhead has the cutest ears! Lucia is approximately 1 and a half years old weighing 28 lbs. She is gregarious and friendly. Lucia and Sofia were left abandoned together near the SPCA PV sanctuary. We’d love to adopt them together, but we can’t hold them back from finding a home that loves them if that’s not possible. While at the shelter we can’t confirm if she’s house trained, but it seems she once had a home, so we think its likely that she is. Lucia is medium energy and lovely with people. She is good with dogs at the shelter, though barks if there is a barrier, which is not uncommon in shelter environments. Lucia was tested with cats, and at first was avoidant and then gently curious. She even let the cats hold her leash. Lucia is healthy, spayed and vaccinated. She is currently at the SPCA PV sanctuary in Mexico, and will be able to fly to Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton (possibly also Vancouver island). If you think you might be the lucky home for her, write us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself, or go direct to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw

Story
My Story: I was abandoned in front of the shelter with my five siblings, but now I’m ready to find my forever home where I can finally feel safe and loved. I might be a little shy at first, but with some time and patience, I’ll warm up and become your most loyal companion. 💖 About Me: 🌱 Shy but Sweet: I’m a bit timid when we first meet, but give me a little time, and I’ll become your best friend. I might not be too interested in snacks, but I’m definitely interested in getting to know you! 🍪 🐾 People-Focused: I rely a lot on people for comfort and security. Once I know you like me, I’ll follow you everywhere and shower you with affection. You’ll always have a loyal companion by your side! 🥰 🐕 Not Much of a Player: I’m not very interested in other dogs, but I feel more secure when they’re around. While I might not play with them, I do like having them nearby—it makes me feel safe. A home with other dogs could be a good fit for me! 🐾 🚶‍♂️ Outdoor Enthusiast: I enjoy outdoor activities and have a normal energy level. After some fun outside, I’m happy to rest quietly and relax with you. 🌳 🍽️ Easygoing Eater: I’m very laid-back when it comes to food—I don’t guard my meals, and I’m always polite during mealtime. 🥣 🔇 Quiet and Calm: I’m not much of a barker, and I’m calm when resting in a kennel. I prefer to keep things peaceful and quiet. 🛏️ 🚽 Potty Trained: I generally do my business outside, and I’m good about keeping things clean. I’m also likely to mark my territory when I’m in a new place, but I’m learning to adjust. 🏠 Why You’ll Love Me: I’m a gentle, loyal, and affectionate dog who’s looking for a patient and loving home. I might be shy at first, but once I trust you, I’ll be the most devoted companion you could ever ask for. I’m great with other dogs, even if I don’t play much, and I’ll always prioritize my human friends. If you’re looking for a quiet, loving friend who will follow you everywhere, I’m your perfect match! 🏡💕 Ready to give Sang a loving home? Let’s start our journey together—I can’t wait to meet you and be your loyal companion! 🐶💖 Faithfully Yours, Sang 🐾 For more videos:https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIsLTtIpe3JwExxMEjohV4q2hawhiGaY3
