While he’s big, he’s also calm and well-mannered, making him a great walking companion—he’s gentle on the leash and enjoys his strolls.Chunk is back with us and looking for his forever home after being adopted and returned. He would thrive best in a home with an experienced owner who can manage his food aggression, as he needs to be kenneled while eating to ensure he’s comfortable. While he’s not the best fit for a household with small dogs, he could do well with another larger dog after proper introductions.As always, we recommend testing all potential family members to make sure everyone gets along. Chunk is ready to find the right home where he can show off his sweet nature and continue to grow into the wonderful companion he is!Come meet Chunk today, he is currently available for adoption at the Ellensburg Animal Shelter.If you are interested in adopting this pet, please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org and a staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received.A Picture says 1000 words...right? Story
Buddy just turned 1 this January. He was found after being dumbed in tricities. We estimate he had been outside for about 2 weeks before he was picked up. He does have some hip issues and is on pain meds at night. He would do best as an only dog as he does have some fear issues that we have been working on over the last few months. He caught on to training right away. He knows the basics sit, wait, down (with a little guidance), heel and place. He is fully potty trained and crate trained. He will do anything for a cookie, food or veggies. He thinks he's a lap dog, a complete love bug and just wants to be with someone all the time. He is still a very silly and goofy puppy in a large body with a big bark. He is shy of strangers and will bark and is slow to warm up. But once you have his trust you will have a ride or die Buddy
