Story
Chanel is a gorgeous, sweet dog that was given a rough start in life. She loves going for rides in trucks, playing in the yard, and most of all, snuggling on the couch. All she wants is affection and stability. She loves every person she meets, big or small. She has become the official greeter of our business! We would love to keep Chanel but unfortunately due to her previous home situation, she cannot be around other dogs or cats. We took her in during an emergency but have to prioritize the animals we already have. She deserves the best home in the world and I’m set on finding it for her.

Story
Rene was wandering around the block for several weeks, until he was given the opportunity to enter the home of one of the rescuers. He has been a very protective, loving dog, and from the first moment he was always grateful. He has gained weight and is ready for his new home. He loves to get close to the fence to be petted by neighbors. He is good with cats, although because of his size we do not leave him unsupervised when he is with them, and he lives with most females. He doesn't like to have another male around, he is the alpha and everyone knows it, but with people, he is the biggest baby of them all. He loves treats, lots of love and affection, going for walks and playing with balls and rubber toys. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
Animal Profile: Pebbles is an approximately 2-year-old, 65 lb female bully breed mix -- we think Cane Corso and/or Boxer.  She has a docked or bob tail and has recovered from cherry eye surgery.  She was friendly with people and dogs during her shelter evaluation.  Foster Update: I'm pretty sure Pebbles is a Bully/Boxer mix as she definitely has the personality to match!  She is very playful and energetic, loves toys and romping around like a goofball so her ideal home would include a yard. She does very well in her crate when it's time to quiet down, is quiet all night and does well for up to 7 hours while I am away. She is a bit shy and unsure with new people but once she is given some time to build trust she is very affectionate and loves to get pets and scratches. We have been spending the most time currently on leash training. She is food motivated, so smart and learns very quickly.  Training Update: Pebbles is thriving with formal training -- she has learned loose leash walking, place, recall basics, and not jumping up. She is working on her confidence with new people and in public. She is shy but tolerant with new people, and tolerant of dogs and cats. She would be well matched with a more quiet household and patient owners who are willing to work on building trust but won't coddle her entirely.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Includes Take Home Training Session Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog came into the San Bernardino animal shelter as a stray and was listed for euthanasia due to space and cherry eye.  She arrives in Seattle on 11/12 and will will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.  November 6, 2024, 5:36 pm

Story
Meet Wishbone. He`s an easy lover. This handsome and endearingly awkward little Cassanova`s got a lot of love and he is desperate to share it with you. He has a friend at the shelter that`s helping him learn how to dog better--he loves to play with her but just acts kind of dorky and we`re not sure he`s an every-dog`s dog just yet. One thing is for certain, he`s adorable and eager to find a loving home to settle into where he can finally relax away from the stress of the shelter. Did we mention he`s handsome?Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. Story
Welcome Bob to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 5.5 year old Cane Corso/Mastiff mixed dog. He is about 70 pounds and he is very sweet. He is now ready for his forever home. He is an adorable bubble blower and he had the most adorable drool on the video. If you love the Mastiff breed then you know they drool. It is a part of their charm. He will be a loyal boy and he is lower on the energy scale. He was extremely happy to be walking her at the rescue. We have been spending lots of time getting all the adult dogs good on leash. He has a lower coat and not a huge shedding dog. He would be great for an older couple looking for a large and lower energy companion. He would also be good for a family where the man works out of town and he wants to know his kids and wife feel safe with a dog watching the scene. He is healthy and getting vaccines. He is neutered and ready for his forever home. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally. We work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!

Story
Welcome Jacks to CCPAL Rescue. Jacks is an 11-month-old Cane Corso/Australian Heeler. He is very affectionate, knows sit, loves water and can open a fence latch. He is a smart boy. He really is attentive and has had a wonderful foster before entering the shelter. He is wonderful at sitting when you ask him to sit. A carabiner is adequate to block him from flipping the latch of the gate open. This is what we use to secure the gate of his kennel. We don’t think he is the type that wants to run away. He is smart and bored in his kennel is all. He is a great dog and we think he would be a great hiker, walker and companion dog for an outdoor enthusiast. He loves all people and doesn’t seem at all bothered by strangers. He is friendly to everyone. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 and older due to his size. He weighs about 60 pounds and looks to be a good weight. He has a beautiful blocky head and with the harness on he was relatively easy to walk. We are looking for a moderately active family for this dog. We think he is very handsome and is going to appeal to men because of his beautiful head and athletic build. He is neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast.
