Story
Meet gorgeous Sadie, also known as "Rari (short for Ferari)! This stunning girl is a 2-year-old Cane Corso, weighing in at 78 lbs of sweetness! Sadie is looking for the perfect home with giant breed experience. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations. Sadie is currently in a foster home in Bonney Lake, Washington and is available for meet & greets to approved applicants. Please apply at https://www.doggedly.org/adoptable-dogs and select Sadie to apply for her! Sadie was originally a stray from Texas who was found wandering the streets of Houston with a standard poodle named Jonas. While Jonas was adopted quickly, Sadie was a young Cane Corso who was still learning to come into her own. Sadie spent several months in a foster home in Texas to learn how to be a good canine citizen! Sadie iwas happily adopted in the Seattle area in the summer of 2022, until her adopter became critically ill. Our hearts break for Sadie, because she is such an amazing girl. Not only is she a stunning specimen of a blue brindle Cane Corso, but she is also so sweet! Her parents renamed her "Rari shortly after adoption, short for Ferari, because Sadie has energy to spare! She is an active girl who loves to romp with other dogs. It would be best to find Sadie another giant breed companion, because this big girl loves to wrestle and rough play with other dogs. Do you love wet, slobbery kisses? Well, they are one of Sadie's specialties! She is a good listener and knows how to sit, lay, give her paw and sometimes, she even stays! She also somehow knows the command "Get out of the kitchen which is used frequently, because Sadie is a mega foodie! She is highly motivated by food and treats, which makes training a breeze for this smart girl. Sadie is impeccably kennel trained, and even puts herself in her kennel when needs a break, and goes into her kennel on command. Sadie enjoys walks, camping trips, play dates, road trips, and has gone just about everywhere with her family! She absolutely loves the company of other dogs, just as long as they don't mind some rough and tumble play. Sadie does well with small dogs and has been around them frequently on camping trips and in the home. While her owners are at the hospital, Sadie hangs out with her grandma's 3 small dogs and does well, but is separated for play time due to her size and energy level. Sadie has not recently been around cats in her new home, but had exposure to them during her time in the rescue. Sadie has been a cherished member of her family for the past year, and the decision to find her a new home that can keep up with her energy level is the best option for her. We would love to find Sadie, a family with mastiff experience who is active, engaging and has another big, friendly dog that she can cuddle with! Sadie will sleep just about anywhere around the house. She will come up in the bed for snuggles, but is miss independent and prefers to sleep by herself on the couch or in her kennel. Some other endearing facts about Sadie: she has the cutest wiggle butt when she's happy! She is also a mega chewer and loves hard, nylon toys and is very good at fetch! Sadie is very food motivated and very NOT picky. She is currently eating Kirkland chicken based kibble rehydrated with warm water, fish oil and glucosamine with some Kirkland canned wet food or home cooked food made with rice, ground turkey, sweet potato. Habit wise, she is fantastic at ringing her bells on the door to let you know she has to go outside to potty. She should be crated when left alone unattended while she gets settled, until she can be trusted not to chew on furniture. The cutest Sadie-ism of all is that her lip curls up on one side and gets stuck on her teeth from excitement when you're about to feed her. She drools, but waits patiently outside the kitchen while you prep her food. She waits for permission to chown down doesn't eat until you say "yes. Does Sadie sound like your dream dog? Then put in an application today and meet the love of your life!

Story
Rene was wandering around the block for several weeks, until he was given the opportunity to enter the home of one of the rescuers. He has been a very protective, loving dog, and from the first moment he was always grateful. He has gained weight and is ready for his new home. He loves to get close to the fence to be petted by neighbors. He is good with cats, although because of his size we do not leave him unsupervised when he is with them, and he lives with most females. He doesn't like to have another male around, he is the alpha and everyone knows it, but with people, he is the biggest baby of them all. He loves treats, lots of love and affection, going for walks and playing with balls and rubber toys. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
Animal Profile: Pebbles is an approximately 2-year-old, 65 lb female bully breed mix -- we think Cane Corso and/or Boxer.  She has a docked or bob tail and has recovered from cherry eye surgery.  She was friendly with people and dogs during her shelter evaluation.  Foster Update: I'm pretty sure Pebbles is a Bully/Boxer mix as she definitely has the personality to match!  She is very playful and energetic, loves toys and romping around like a goofball so her ideal home would include a yard. She does very well in her crate when it's time to quiet down, is quiet all night and does well for up to 7 hours while I am away. She is a bit shy and unsure with new people but once she is given some time to build trust she is very affectionate and loves to get pets and scratches. We have been spending the most time currently on leash training. She is food motivated, so smart and learns very quickly.  Training Update: Pebbles is thriving with formal training -- she has learned loose leash walking, place, recall basics, and not jumping up. She is working on her confidence with new people and in public. She is shy but tolerant with new people, and tolerant of dogs and cats. She would be well matched with a more quiet household and patient owners who are willing to work on building trust but won't coddle her entirely.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Includes Take Home Training Session Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog came into the San Bernardino animal shelter as a stray and was listed for euthanasia due to space and cherry eye.  She arrives in Seattle on 11/12 and will will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.  February 28, 2025, 10:05 am

Story
Welcome Bob to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 5.5 year old Cane Corso/Mastiff mixed dog. He is about 70 pounds and he is very sweet. He is now ready for his forever home. He is an adorable bubble blower and he had the most adorable drool on the video. If you love the Mastiff breed then you know they drool. It is a part of their charm. He will be a loyal boy and he is lower on the energy scale. He was extremely happy to be walking her at the rescue. We have been spending lots of time getting all the adult dogs good on leash. He has a lower coat and not a huge shedding dog. He would be great for an older couple looking for a large and lower energy companion. He would also be good for a family where the man works out of town and he wants to know his kids and wife feel safe with a dog watching the scene. He is healthy and getting vaccines. He is neutered and ready for his forever home. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally. We work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!

Story
Welcome Jacks to CCPAL Rescue. Jacks is an 11-month-old Cane Corso/Australian Heeler. He is very affectionate, knows sit, loves water and can open a fence latch. He is a smart boy. He really is attentive and has had a wonderful foster before entering the shelter. He is wonderful at sitting when you ask him to sit. A carabiner is adequate to block him from flipping the latch of the gate open. This is what we use to secure the gate of his kennel. We don’t think he is the type that wants to run away. He is smart and bored in his kennel is all. He is a great dog and we think he would be a great hiker, walker and companion dog for an outdoor enthusiast. He loves all people and doesn’t seem at all bothered by strangers. He is friendly to everyone. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 and older due to his size. He weighs about 60 pounds and looks to be a good weight. He has a beautiful blocky head and with the harness on he was relatively easy to walk. We are looking for a moderately active family for this dog. We think he is very handsome and is going to appeal to men because of his beautiful head and athletic build. He is neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. Story
Meet Ruby! This stunning 1.5 year old Cane Corso/Boxer mix has stolen my heart! She is the definition of joy, forgiveness, and fun! My name is Olga, Director of Behavior at Three Little Pitties Rescue and alongside the behavior team we have been working together to help build Ruby’s confidence after the unknown and known things that have happened to her prior to coming to us. This girl is resilient, she is loving, she is playful, she is loyal, and boy is she smart. Ruby has undergone training (and continues training with our behavior team) and thrives under structure and boundaries. She is all about pleasing the person she loves the most. Even though she has learned her manners at times she gets a little too excited and wants to play with you. We think it's the Boxer in her! As you watch her adoption video you will see we are reminding her of her boundaries! With Ruby, FIRM corrections are a must! What can we say? She’s not even 2 yet! She is still young and full of curiosity and energy. It'd be great if you'd help her keep her skills in tip-top shape as they're very important to her. Ruby is crate trained and will let you know when she needs to go out—no accidents on her watch! You can watch her adoption video here: Ruby loves deep!! She is a special soul! I’m looking for a person who’s as strong-willed as Ruby is and knows a thing or two (okay...maybe 10!) about handling an energetic, sometimes stubborn, power pup like Ruby. Ruby is the perfect training/working dog. Ruby has been trained with an E-collar and it has been a great tool for her. We are looking for a family that is comfortable and knowledgeable in E-Collar training and will continue to use this tool. She does not need it or use it daily. I would be more than happy to answer any questions and provide training tips! The behavior team at Three Little Pitties is here to help Ruby succeed in your home. Ruby can also self entertain, but this comes with/after the stimulation she receives with us daily. She has learned so many great commands like sit, down, stay, release, heel, come, it’s yours, out, and leave it. She has worked on impulse control immensely, as mentioned earlier, she aims to please and bond with her person. Ruby notices when her schedule changes. She is the type of girl that says, “Oh, so does that mean we aren’t following this rule anymore?! Cool!” and tries to see if we don’t have to sit before we eat, or have to sit at doors, or heel when we walk etc. Ruby loves men and women, but she automatically respects men from the moment she meets them. She likes to decide if a woman is assertive enough to provide her the necessary structure or if she is more of a friend. If you put her to work right away, she knows you mean business! You will see a four year old child in the video. That is my son Kobe. Ruby loves Kobe! She has spent a lot of time with him, hanging out with him while he plays, and she quietly gnaws on her toys. She has a way of knowing that a child is just a child! She can be around older kids and teens but due to her need to work, and her tough and rough play style we are looking for a home without children. The great thing is that if there are children in your life, nieces and nephews, friends’ kids, etc she knows how to behave around them. Ruby loves getting her daily exercise and would make the perfect partner for someone who enjoys staying active. We are looking for a home with a backyard. Every day I open the bedroom door and she runs straight down the hall to the back door that leads to the yard and I let her out. She runs, romps and has the time of her life! When she is ready to come in, she gives me a little bark. Ruby wants to be close to me hanging out in the office. If she isn’t ready to come in and I go to call her, she has great recall and comes running. Sometimes she will do a little zoomie circle and then run to me! She will either sit for me to leash her, or she will run straight in the house to the room where she is housed . If you are wondering about car rides...let's just say she will be the one with the floppy tongue in the back window! She is a fantastic car companion. Her favorite way to show affection? Laying her head in your lap or keeping a close watch over you. She loves toys! She loves her stuffies and she knows how to take care of them. Ruby has been with dogs in pack walks, playgroups, and with my small dog Mateo but we are looking for a single dog home for her. We want a family to be able to focus on building the bond and respect between owner and pet and not worry about integrating animals on top of that. She is not a day care, dog park dog either. Most dogs aren’t and that's okay! Her story started in Rosharon, where I was chasing after a truck, hoping for a friend. The kind people in the truck gave her some food but couldn’t keep her. Thankfully, a woman who works closely with 3LP saved her without even meeting her first. She was so lonely that she wasn't the happiest pup at first. Ruby has received bad training that really hurt her confidence and we have worked hard to undo all of that training! Ruby is finally ready for a forever family. Sure: it's been a journey figuring out where her piece of the puzzle fits, but we think we are getting close to finding it. If you’re ready for a loyal, athletic companion who’ll be by your side through all your adventures, Ruby is your girl. She can’t wait to meet you! I know that the right person is out there for Ruby. She deserves to have all the great things that the right people and the right home environment have to offer. This is the best part of rescue! Stories like this that have that happy ever ending!
