WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Angie is in a neighboring rescue that is having a family emergency. If you are interested in adopting her, we will bring her into Hay Dude to complete the adoption. Angie - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Angie, full of youthful exuberance for life, innocence and curiosity. Ready to crawl right into your heart (won't take me long either!!) and be a part of a family...YOUR family! I am still a youngster yet, a big puppy at heart! I have lots of love to give along with tail wags and butt wiggles. I do great with people both tall and small and the other foster pups here too! Although I have not met any of those creatures y'all call a cat yet! At around 2 years of age and about 100lbs, I'm a pawsomely perfect size for...yes, everything! Neighborhood strolls, nature hikes(aaaah, all those wonderful tantalizing smells), camping, being a co-pilot for errand runs or trips to the park! You name it, I'm ready to give it a whirl and have a blast too (with whatever it is) just cuz we're doing it together (my favoritest thing)!! As my short sleek coat is low maintenance in the grooming department it makes me more of a wash-n-go type of gal. And you do know what that means don't you?!! Oh yep yep, lots of extra time in the 'spoil me rotten' department. And you do know that's what it is all about!! ;) Big on personality, smart and inquisitive, affectionate and sweet. My oh my I have a boatload of great traits going on, oh and don't forget my stunningly gorgeous good looks, to make me a great family addition, I just need the family...could it be YOUR family? If we could be that perfect fit please fill out my adoption application found at haydudeequine.org

**WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Asher. I'm about 2 years old and I weigh about 60 lbs. I was found dumped in the Fredricktown area and it took about 1-2 weeks for me to be caught using a trap. Once I was caught, I turned into the sweet, happy, loving boy that I truly am. When I was running, I wasn't sure of who I could trust since the human I trusted most in my life dumped me out and left me to fend for myself for reasons unknown. What is known is that I have been a VERY good boy since making my arrival here at the pound. I definitely seem to have had quite a bit of training and with just a little more training and consistency, I would likely be well on my way to making a good service dog for someone. I am super smart and very well mannered. I do like to cuddle and I like to play, so I would also make a great addition to the family for someone that is just looking for a great companion. I have been good around the other dogs that I have met here at the pound. I haven't really engaged in play yet, but I've been walked with and off leash in the play yard with other dogs and I have done well. I do love chasing the birds that fly over my head. The people here say I may not do well with little critters, so caution is encouraged if you have other small pets. I am extremely clean in my kennel and I appear to be completely housebroken. If you're looking for a great dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable.
