Story
This brave momma found herself at animal control, heavily pregnant and in desperate need of a miracle. Just two days later, she gave birth to her puppies, and that's when 𝑺𝑨𝑽𝒆𝑫 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒄𝒖𝒆 answered the call. Animal control is no place for newborns, so we quickly scooped up Lolli and her little ones.🐶 Lolli gave birth to eight beautiful puppies, but sadly, not all survived. We lost sweet Twix that night, and little Clark passed away a week later. 💔🌈 Once Lolli settled into her foster home, it became clear something wasn’t right. She seemed unwell, and two emergency vet visits revealed the cause: a severe uterine infection that required spaying sooner rather than later. However, she also had a serious case of pneumonia, which had to be treated before she could safely undergo surgery. With antibiotics and the incredible care of her foster family, Lolli fought through every challenge. 💪🐾 Today, Lolli is the picture of resilience. Despite everything she’s been through, she has the sweetest, most gentle personality and adores her babies. She craves love and attention and gives it right back tenfold. 🥰🐕 Lolli is ready for her forever home and would thrive as part of a family that cherishes her as much as she deserves. ✨ 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐬? She’d make a wonderful pair with one of her puppies if someone is looking for double the love! https://airtable.com/appRel0u6Xk5zFI8e/shrgRzyCwZOVjZUxp

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Story
Meet Toph! Toph, affectionately known as Toffee, is a delightful puppy from our Avatar Litter who brings joy and excitement wherever she goes! With her wiggly body and boundless enthusiasm, she lights up every room. Toph adores her human family and is especially thrilled when it’s playtime with her doggy siblings! She enjoys daycare, walks, and playtime in the backyard. When it's time to relax, Toph loves to cuddle up and recharge. She’s the perfect blend of active and affectionate, often sneaking in kisses and seeking a lap to curl up in. Described by her foster as the ultimate love bug, she greets you at the door with endless tail wags! This spirited girl has a heart full of love for everyone, including cats! She’s eager to shower them with kisses and gentle nudges, though her excitement may need a little guidance. Toph thrives in a home with other dogs where she can play and roughhouse to her heart's content. She would do best with older children, another dog, and an active family (or person) who can provide her with plenty of mental and physical stimulation. Toph is potty trained, crate trained, and currently learning basic commands and manners. Her eagerness to learn, especially when treats are involved, makes her a wonderful training companion! She needs a dedicated home that’s committed to helping her grow into the best version of herself. She would prefer a home with another dog, but will also do well with children or someone who is physically active. She is full of energy and really needs someone who can run, walk, and play with her daily. Adoptions are based on connection and chemistry. Adoption is $325 and includes spay/neuter at our vet when age appropriate, vaccines to date of adoption, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Story
Meet Aang! He is a puppy from our Avatar Litter. He was born on March 10, 2024 and is a Cane Corso/Lab/Presa Canario/Pit mix. Aang is an active, adventurous boy who loves to explore outside, play with his canine foster siblings, and run around to get his zoomies out. He is a dog who would enjoy an active lifestyle where he can go on daily walks, go hiking, and be outdoors often. After a busy day, he loves to sprawl out wherever he fits and does love the occasional cuddle session. He likes to where you are and what you are doing, but is independent and likes to do his own thing. He is outgoing, friendly, and eager to meet new people. He has grown up with dogs, cats, chickens, and ducks. Aang can be a bit overzealous with cats, but it is out of excitement and wanting to be friends rather than being mean. He also is good with children. He truly is a friend to all. Aang is a smart boy. He is crate trained and 95% potty trained. He only has accidents if he is busy playing and waits to long to go outside. Aang knows "sit", "outside", "gentle" and "leave it", and is working on other basic commands. He would prefer a home with another dog, but would do well as the only dog in an active home, a home with kids, or a home where there are often dogs to socialize with. If you have an adult do, they will accompany you during the meet and greet, and will help select the best match based on who gravitates toward you and your dog. Adoptions are based on connection and chemistry. Adoption is $325 and includes spay/neuter at our vet when age appropriate, vaccines to date of adoption, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Meet the magnificent Miss Hetti. She is a playful, energy abundant Cane Corso, and likely, boxer mix. Her most recent weight has her up to 68lbs at around 16 months old. She loves tummy rubs, fetch, and Benebone chew toys. Hetti thrives on multiple walks per day however can over heat quickly in higher temps. She is very strong and still learning manners with passing animals so an experienced handler and dog owner is a must. She loves greeting people but due to her size and still puppy behaviors, a house with kids over 12 is preferred. For Hetti to live her best life she should be a solo canine with a large fenced yard and an active owner willing to give her the exercise and attention she needs. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. November 4, 2024, 7:53 am
