Story
Gallagher will be 3 in June. He has had cherry eye, in both eyes, and the vet removed both from his eyes. He enjoys going for walks and getting treats on his walk. He is a very good walker. I'm hoping someone who can spend more time with him and train him more than the training he has had. He is a velcro dog. I do have another dog in the house and at feeding time I do feed them in separate rooms and remove dishes before letting them both come out. I had my daughters cat for a while with him and they did like a cat and dog will do, no fights, but playing. I'm hoping he can get a fenced in yard so he can run when he's out and someone who will take the time to work with him. I no longer have the time to spend with him due to work and I feel bad leaving him home alone a lot, he deserves more. He rides in the car, with the back seats down and the side windows halfway so he can hang out the window. He has a crate, but I leave him out.

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=44, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41, EXOTICS: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=46) completely. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Meet Toph! Toph, affectionately known as Toffee, is a delightful puppy from our Avatar Litter who brings joy and excitement wherever she goes! With her wiggly body and boundless enthusiasm, she lights up every room. Toph adores her human family and is especially thrilled when it’s playtime with her doggy siblings! She enjoys daycare, walks, and playtime in the backyard. When it's time to relax, Toph loves to cuddle up and recharge. She’s the perfect blend of active and affectionate, often sneaking in kisses and seeking a lap to curl up in. Described by her foster as the ultimate love bug, she greets you at the door with endless tail wags! This spirited girl has a heart full of love for everyone, including cats! She’s eager to shower them with kisses and gentle nudges, though her excitement may need a little guidance. Toph thrives in a home with other dogs where she can play and roughhouse to her heart's content. She would do best with older children, another dog, and an active family (or person) who can provide her with plenty of mental and physical stimulation. Toph is potty trained, crate trained, and currently learning basic commands and manners. Her eagerness to learn, especially when treats are involved, makes her a wonderful training companion! She needs a dedicated home that’s committed to helping her grow into the best version of herself. She would prefer a home with another dog, but will also do well with children or someone who is physically active. She is full of energy and really needs someone who can run, walk, and play with her daily. Adoptions are based on connection and chemistry. Adoption is $325 and includes spay/neuter at our vet when age appropriate, vaccines to date of adoption, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Story
Say hello to Heidi! This friendly gal is looking for her forever home. Heidi is a big ball of love! She came to us as a stray slightly underweight, so she is very motivated by food. She even knows the `sit` command! Though make sure to give her a treat as a reward for listening. Heidi is an extra large breed, so she sometimes doesn`t know her size and can pull on the leash or jump on the couch without realizing she`s in the way. But it`s just more to love! She is a sweet girl who will be a wonderful companion to anyone who will give her the chance. Do you think you are a good fit for Heidi? Come and say hello today!

Story
Ruby is named Ruby because Scaredy-cat is just a stupid name. She is sweet and gentle until something scares her, then she jumps. She’s good on a leash until something startles her, then she pulls…. And she’s strong. She’s a beautiful girl. Loving and gentle, loves attention but hates excitement. She’s not a guard dog, she’ll hide behind you in the threat of great danger, or if a butterfly scares her. Quiet, soft, and sweet Ruby, she wants to be right at your feet.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. My adoption fee (if picked up locally in Crossville, Tennessee) is $225, and here's some good news - an anonymous donor has offered to pay Ruby's adoption cost!!! If transport is needed, $300.00 will need to be paid (out of state, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions). Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!
