Story
We adopted Daisy 5 years ago from the Cat Adoption Team in Sherwood. She had been a stray cat and at the time she was about a year old and was described as quiet, sweet, and curious. Our mom adopted her and since she passed away we've been caring for Daisy. She is very sweet, a little shy in the beginning with new people but is now a very loving and trusting cat. She is mainly an indoor cat but also likes to go outside if the weather is nice. She doesn't go far once she's familiar with the area and where she gets her food. We are hoping to find a loving person or family who will take care of her as we are moving into apartments that generally do not allow pets. We wouldn't want her to be alone all day so if someone is usually home or if there's another cat to keep her company that would be ideal. She loves to be petted and brushed and enjoys looking out the window from her cat tree to see what's going on outside.

Story
Cindy (calico) and Katy (black) were both about a month old when they came to my home. I brought both because they were inseparable and they played well together from birth. They have same father but different mothers. They blended very well with my family members. They both have very good temperament, friendly to visitors. Both were fully potty trained and both never had any accidents. They are very good natured and super friendly and patient with my grand children who are 1 1/2 months and 6 months old.   Both were raised indoor. Only Cindy goes out to the backyard patio once in a while, but she comes right back inside within a few minutes. Because they were always together, it would be the best for them to be adopted together. I will donate all their supplies. Both are smart, but Cindy seems to be more clever and alert.   I have no issues with them and they have been therapeutic for our family. However, I need to let them go because one of my family members has developed a severe cat allergy. He suffered through it because he was so attached to them. We decided to give them up when even allergy medicine didn’t help.  This wonderful pair will be a great addition to any family lucky enough to adopt them.  They are indoor only and their adoption fee that includes their supplies is $200.   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the owner for follow-ups and meeting arrangement.  Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 16, 2025, 3:07 pm

Story
I got Holly and her brother at a rescue place in Salem over a year ago. They got along great until the past couple of months. I have tried everything, seperation, calming diffusers, etc. I have come to the tough decision that they are going to need to be separated. Holly is a very loving kitty, she just needs a home where she can be an only child.

These pups are in Keizer, Oregon too!

Story
Meet Zack! Adopted as a kitten, in 2018. He's my son's cat and my son moved, unable to have pets at his apartment. I've had health struggles which makes caring for 2 difficult. Zack is box trained and social. He gets along with another cat we have and enjoys my dad's small dog. He's an alpha so if you have a cat that's skiddish, it might not be an ideal combo. Zack hasn't been around kids much and while I think he might be fine because he's not uptight like some cats, it might be best not to be with little kids. When we adopted Zack, we met his foster mom who nursed him back to health after a leg break. He's never had an related medical issue since. He's been 100% indoors and is unafraid of anything except the vacuum. Zack is very food motivated and should have food dispensed, or he will overeat. He's been eating prescription food but it's not needed. I'll provide enough food to transition him. Recent vet check, shots current. $25 fee to ensure well intended adopters.

Story
Tera is a beautiful 2-year-old orange and white domestic shorthair with a unique and vibrant personality. She needs time to decompress and get used to her environment.  Once she feels safe and secure, she transforms into the most loyal and loving companion you could ask for. Tera thrives best in a home without young children where she can have the peace and quiet she needs to feel comfortable. Tera is good with dogs, but is terrified of other cats.  She is NOT aggressive at all, but is truly just scared and will scream with other cats around.   Tera would really love to be the queen of her castle and have all your attention to herself. One of Tera's favorite things is finding cozy spots to lounge and observe her kingdom. She's got a knack for making you laugh with her quirky antics and will reward your patience with endless affection. If you're looking for a loyal companion who just needs a little time to show her true loving nature, Tera might be the perfect match for you! ##2034542##

Story
Maverick is our very special sweet boy who deserves all the love in the world!  He's very laid back and will sit with you for hours watching movies and wants to be near you.   Maverick is a speicial needs boy with severe CH (also known as wobbly cat syndrome).   Here is a link where you can find more info on CH:  https://www.thenoahcenter.org/2022/09/28/the-truth-about-ch-cats/ Maverick is about 4 years old and along with having CH, he is missing several teeth and has a front "snaggle tooth"- but is healthy!     He's neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and has had base line bloodwork upon joining the rescue all of which was completely normal.     He does have  tremors that are common with CH and also a pretty severe head bobble - so drinking water is difficult and he eats wet food and sometimes dry kibble mixed in water in raised bowl.     He was raised by a family who loved him very much but just didn't have the time to continue caring for him.   He uses a litter box but because of his severity and wobbles, he needs help getting in and out and will lay down to do his stuff.    He is on a schedule though and will go in the litter box when you put him in the box on a schedule.    Maverick has lived with big dogs and other cats in his foster home, but he mostly loves just being with his person.   If you have had a CH cat previously, then. you know how much love they provide and what a joy they are to care for.    With Maverick's severity level, he does need someone who has experience with CH and is aware of what they require.  If you are interested in Maverick, please provide a few sentences on why you want to adopt Maverick and how you are prepared for him.   ##2000741##
