Story
Mimi was adopted from the SPCA at the start of 2025. Unfortunately she does not get along with our resident cat and has not adjusted to that situation despite the many things we have tried. She is A LOVEBUG who will snuggle up with her humans all night. She’s very vocal and loves to chat with her humans. She has only one eye, we are not sure how she lost it. This girl really, truly deserves a home and I hope someone here can give her one without another cat.

Story
Crystal and a bunch of other cats were living in an alleyway in a not so good part of town. They were multiplying out of control and being threatened by some non cat loving people. We were asked to help, and when we went out there were a lot more than we thought but we did the best we could to try to get as many as we could. Surprisingly enough they were all pretty friendly and very sweet. They now all are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for fvrcp and rabies, flea and worm treated and tested negative for leukemia and AIDS. Now they are looking for new permanent, inside homes. If you are interested in Crystal or any of our other castaway cats please fill out our application at castawaycatsde.com

Story
This is not an easy decision for our family and this really is our last resort. Calli has been part of our home for 10 years. We just had a baby and Calli is not happy about it. She is having some behavioral issues due to our new house guest. Calli would thrive in a house as the only animal, preferably without kids. She loves the attention and loves to sit on your lap for pets! I want to make sure that she goes to the best home possible and gets the love she so deserves! She is an older girl that likes to sun bathe and sleep all day. She likes to find the best spot on the back of the couch and hangout there until she sees an amazon box to jump in or a laundry basket full of clean clothes to lounge in.

Story
Head and chin rubs, please!!!  Meet Coral, my beautiful tabico foster.  Coral came to me after having her left leg amputated, to gain her confidence living without a leg. Coral has come such a long way. Having her leg amputated has not slowed her down at all. She jumps, runs, plays without issue. Coral loves: food and treats, soft toys she can easily grab and cat nip. To see her growth and love grow over the last 3 months has been amazing. She went from a cat that did not really interact with me to jumping and running to me when I walk in her room. She lights up and meows at me until I pet her. Coral loves being having her head and chin rubbed as she sits there purring away.  To her future adopter: Please be patient with Coral as she adjusts to her new surroundings. She was very reserved at first, but within a month, she was playing, laying on the couch with me and loving life. Coral also loves her own space and laying in windows. She may enjoy being an only cat; however, Coral has been introduced to resident cats. She is unsure at times but only hisses, but with time and patience, I believe she would adjust perfectly fine with another laid back cat that gives her space. She does okay with my one resident cat that comes into her area. That’s because he just wants to be in the space and doesn’t bother her. She is a girl who just loves her humans and cuddling.  Coral is playing with her foster family.  Please ask to meet her and have some playtime!  Please submit our no-obligation Adoption Application for a meet and greet or to adopt:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Thank you!  (Foster:  Joanna S.)  November 7, 2024, 5:25 pm

Lots of head scratches, please!  Please meet Cali Kitty, 1 year old girl Calico-Tabby kitty.  She raised 2 adorable kittens, Soda Pop (black and white) and Pony Boy (FCID# 07/02/2024 - 62, 61), and was a very attentive young momma cat who raised her kids right! She is sweet and calm, and gets along with other animals and all people. She is very polite and behaved and loves her scratches on her head. She is the perfect little girl. Her markings are INCREDIBLE—tabby on top and calico on the bottom. Please check out her video:  https://www.youtube.com/shorts/rJyGuBELuNg . She loves attention. Cali Kitty's kittens have been adopted.  She is playing with her foster family and the resident cats.  Please submit our no-obligation application for a meet and greet or to adopt:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.   Thank you!  (Foster:  Chrissy T.)    February 7, 2025, 6:46 am

Story
Hi, My name is Penny. I am a young female Tabico, about 7 months old (as of mid-September) I am small in size, but love adventure. I like to climb and jump. I enjoy sunny windowsills. It may take me a bit to warm up to you, but I promise I will be devoted and loving. I think I should be an only cat, but would love to be adopted with one of my kittens. I have been staying with my Foster family and their pets. I am cautious around small dogs. I don’t think I enjoy the company of their big dog. Penny's kittens have been adopted.  She would love to find her forever family, too.  She is playing with her foster family until then.  Please submit our no-obligation application for a meet and greet or to adopt:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/ .  Thank you!  (Foster: Kelly M).   November 6, 2024, 4:07 pm

Story
ABOUT MONICA! Meet Monica, our beautiful seven-year-old girl! This little lady came to HAP as a stray momma. She's a very adventurous lady and will need a home that can safely let her spend time inside and outside. Monica has spent time in foster and was adopted from us, but her current owner didn't feel like the neighborhood was a safe one for Monica's wandering ways. Monica has a great personality and loves being with people. She will keep you entertained and give you snuggles when she finally stops exploring. She enjoys being with people and spending time indoors. Monica will dash through doors as quick as a flash and seems to enjoy spending time outside as well. Her owner said that she would stay close to home but then began to explore a little too far out of their cul-de-sac. We will be reviewing applications for Monica to ensure that her new home is located somewhere where she can explore safely. She should not be in a home that can present a danger by cars or traffic. Monica would make a wonderful working cat for a small farm or business that would like an outdoor cat that will also bring them affection and love. **Monica has been diagnosed with very early-stage kidney disease. While this can shorten her lifespan, we have no reason to believe she doesn't have many, many more years left in her! She is currently being treated with a special diet and managed by yearly vet visits. If you are interested in adopting Monica, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
ABOUT LORA! Meet Lora, our beautiful six-year-old tabby girl! This pretty lady was brought to HAP by some good Samaritans, who had been feeding her for a few months, after she showed up very skinny to their feral colony. Once she fattened up a bit, she started to show off her sweet side, and her new friends knew that she didn't belong in the outdoors! Lora is a super sweetheart, though she can be a little bossy at times! She likes things to happen on her terms, but when they do, she's a very loving girl! When they don't happen, she does give a little reminder tap that she runs this show! *Lora doesn't like the other cats, and will make that dislike very well known! We don't recommend she go to a home with children or dogs. **If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Story
ABOUT HAZEL Meet Hazel, our funny little gremlin! This kooky lady came to us after her owners were unable to manage her medical issues. Hazel had a bit of a rough start here, she was NOT pleased being confined, but she settled in quickly and let her personality shine! Hazel is a true character! She is the Queen Bee and the biggest diva of them all! She likes what she likes, and she'll let you know what displeases her. She loves to play and loves to snuggle, she's a true lap cat! She allows you to dress her up, though she will only allow that in small doses. She enjoys going for walks in her stroller, as well. Hazel has been in a foster home before, here's what her foster has to say about her: "She is still as sweet as can be!! I sleep in her room 1-2 nights a week so that she can enjoy nighttime cuddles. She has seen my cats and the majority of the time she doesn't mind them. A few times she has hissed at them/back at them. Over the holiday, she was able to meet my nieces and nephew and did really well! She just loves attention!! Her newest thing is asking for belly rubs!" **Hazel has skin allergies, which are currently managed by a special diet and medication. If not managed, this allergy causes her to break out into a super itchy rash. She MUST stay on her special diet and medication unless otherwise directed by your vet. *Hazel has recently decided that she would be comfortable sharing a home with other kitties, though she does need a slow introduction and a home with calmer cats! We aren't sure how she'd do with a dog, but we assume she would bully them. Once in a home, she does super well with children and new people, though she can be a little grumpy during transitions. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals.
