Dog- and Cat-Friendly!!  Hi!  My name is Chloe.  My foster says I am a sweetie.  I love to be brushed and to have my back and neck scratched.  I like attention so much that if you try to pet my sister Zoey, I'll wedge myself under your hand so you'll pet me, too. My foster had a small dog, so I am comfortable around other cats and dogs, but I have not had many encounters with children.   The lovely sketch of Chloe and Zoey was done by local artist Ellen Chandler, a gift to the adopter. Kid-Friendly!!  Please meet Super Mom Calypso!  As you have read, this young mama had quite a large family to care for, and she did not want any help from her foster family!  Calypso is about 1-2 years old.  Of her 10 kittens, 8 have found their forever homes already, and she is ready to find hers. A note from her foster mom:  'She is absolutely wonderful with kids all ages. Headbutts and purring, even while actively nursing her kittens. She never crossed paths with Baker (FCID# 06/25/2024 - 51, also at Brandywine PS) before her babies were born. Baker was at Brookhaven PS when we brought her inside, and she remained isolated while Baker was free-roaming in the rest of the house. I wish we had an opportunity to test her with our other pets (cats and dogs) for longer, so we could try to see if we could get her acclimated to sharing a house.   She has handled every other situation with resilience, so I have a lot of confidence that given understanding and patience, she would be able to live with other cats and dogs without any hissing.' Hello! I am mama Crepe! I am about a year-and-a-half old, and a very sweet girl! I have been in foster care since July, with my sweet kittens, Croissant (F) (FCID# 07/31/2024 - 55, adopted, 11/12) and Crumpet (M) (FCID# 07/31/2024 - 56). While I am a little on the cautious side in new situations, I am great in a household setting! I am very chatty and love to sit next to you while you rub my belly! My favorite types of toys are soft, fabric toys (think mice and other small animal type toys)—I carry them around the house, while meowing. I am VERY proud of my hunting skills! I also LOVE other cats. I have been fostered in a home with several adult cats, and I LOVE them all. I also really love both of my kittens and wouldn’t mind going home with one (or both)! I also LOVE churus. Can you tell that I am having fun in foster care?! I haven’t met any dogs, so I am not sure how I would do with them. Cami is a sweetheart that was living on the not so nice streets of Wilmington. We saw her desperately looking for some food along with a bunch of other cats, who unfortunately have to live out there, so we are trying to help as many as we can as fast as we can. She definitely was once someone's pet because she is so sweet but of course not spayed! She is now has been spayed, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV.
