Story
Eleanor came to HHR as a stray from a rough neighborhood known for being a dumping ground for unwanted cats. We attempted to find an owner but she was never reclaimed. Eleanor gets along fine with other cats and would be a perfect first time/family kitty. Eleanor is about a 2-3 years old. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative. To meet her, please visit our website www.HalfwayHomeRescue.org and submit an application. Adoption donation $250.

Story
Meet Taylor — the shy sweetheart of our Summer I Turned Pretty litter. This gorgeous five-month-old calico is not only stunning but also a polydactyl girl, meaning she has extra toes that make her paws look like adorable little mittens. Taylor was rescued in Bridgeport alongside her siblings — Jeremiah, Conrad, and Isabel — and she has been blossoming in her foster home. Just she and Jeremiah remain and they are especially close so we'd love to find them a home together. Taylor is a playful, curious little girl who loves chasing toys and wrestling with her kitty friends. She absolutely adores the company of other cats and must be adopted into a home with a feline companion to help boost her confidence and happiness. Though she can be a bit shy if approached too quickly, Taylor has a soft, tender heart. Approach her gently while she’s cozy in her cat bed, and she’ll happily roll over for sweet belly rubs. She’s the perfect mix of timid charm and playful sparkle — a little girl who just needs patience and love to truly shine. Taylor is currently at the Purrfect Lounge in Plainville, a cat lounge where guests can visit and play with the cats. All meet & greets for Taylor will take place there, giving you a chance to see her playful, affectionate personality in action! Her adoption fee is $300 (lounge price) and Taylor is vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative, microchipped, and spayed. If you're interested in this cutie, please fill out an application at https://form.jotform.com/201805462692153. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

Story
"Sugar Oh, honey, honeyYou are my candy girl And you got me wanting you"  Sweet as The Archie's most famous song, meet Betty Cooper (you do want her!) - the striking tabico girl next door! Clearly Archie's favorite, Betty is as darling as her namesake; sweet & pretty, an absolute love bug ready to cuddle right up next to you on the couch. Betty is as resilient as she is sweet, surviving outside as they did. And, Betty was never one to turn down solving a mystery, so let's help her solve the mystery of finding her forever family. She'll follow the clues right to her new home, so let's help her out and fill out an application! Betty needs to be with a young, playful cat (perhaps her brother or sister? ...both?) and would do well with respectful children. Betty really was the girl next door, living life as a stray in a backyard.  Along with her brother, Archie, and sister, Veronica, Betty was saved by a student who asked her teacher (who happened to be a trapper friend of ours!) for help and is now safe inside in foster care! You can see more pictures and videos of our fosters on our facebook page:  Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet. ##2566479##

Story
Meet Holly Hobby Holly Hobby is a stunning dilute calico beauty with mesmerizing golden eyes and a quiet grace that will melt your heart. Holly loves to be petted and will look at you with those eyes so that you can't help but oblige! Petting her is very satisfying because she stretches her body into your hand to get the most out of your offered pets. Holly is a gentle girl who thrives in a nurturing environment. She is looking for a warm companion who is happy to hand out pets. She is a quiet, easy kitty who requests pets and leans into them. She is on a prescription diet to prevent crystals in her bladder. She eats her prescription food well. That is the only special care she needs. She will do best in a home with adults or a kind-hearted singleton. She also needs people who understand that not every cat enjoys being picked up. When her foster picks her up, Holly just lodges her complaint with management by squiggling and squirming. This sweetheart wouldn't resort to claws! She currently lives peacefully with other 4 cats and 4 kittens and would be happy in a feline-friendly home — or she’d be just as content being your one and only. Canine visitors put her on her guard. Holly likes to be treated to wet food. She will happily accept Temptations treats and Delectables, as well. She is very tidy with her litter box. She loves a comfy blanket and a good view of cat TV. Holly Hobby asks if you will be her friend? Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through. We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 14,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
This is "Chester". He is about 2 years and 1 month old. A few months ago we got a call from someone on Chestnut Avenue in Waterbury (hence the name "Chester") who was feeding Chester for a while and then Chester got sick from another cat. We took Chester in then and he was very very sick. He was so sick he could not breath, he was very congested, he was drooling a lot and he was not eating. He was just skin and bones! Chester is now completely different from what he was. He did a 100% turnaround! It took us about a month to help make him feel better. He is a healthy cat now and no more skin and bones! Chester gets along with other cats. As for dogs, he could probably live with a calm small dog. In Chester's new home, children must be 6 years old or older. Chester got neutered, he got his shots and he tested negative for feline leukemia/aids. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference in your own name. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules. The adoption fee for Chester is $245.00. No credit cards. You can meet any of our animals at Petco located at 201 Union Street in Waterbury on Saturday during our adoption hours from 12:00 to 3:00 so, if you are interested in meeting Chester or a particular animal, please email us at feline55keeper@gmail.com and we will be certain to bring that particular animal with us to Petco on Saturday. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE STRESS THAT IN ORDER TO ADOPT FROM US, YOU MUST HAVE A VETERINARIAN REFERENCE...NO EXCEPTIONS!

Here is our litter of 4 kittens that are ready to find their forever homes. Meet "Dilly" and "Dally" (the twins), "Storm" and little "Teensie". Dilly and Teensie are females. Dally and Storm are males. Dilly and Dally are in the first picture, Storm is in the second picture and Teensie is in the third picture. These 4 cuties are about 11 months old and they sure are full of kitten energy! WE HAVE AN UPDATE! Storm and Teensie have been adopted! So now Dilly and Dally, sister and brother, are waiting to be adopted too. Unless Dilly and Dally go into a home with another kitten or cat already in the home, they have to be adopted together. In their new home, children must be 6 years old or older. Dilly got spayed and Dally got neutered, their shots are up to date and their mom tested negative for feline leukemia and aids. Speaking of the kittens' mom, her name is "Cora". Cora is in the fourth picture. Cora was also available for adoption but she has since been adopted! The adoption fee for Dilly and Dally is $250.00 each or $350.00 for the pair. No credit cards.
