Molls is a sweetheart who loves affection, purrs loudly, and gives great kisses.  She is a lap kitty that always wants to be by your side.  She is playful and loves her toys.  Molly is vocal and likes to talk to you in the morning or when you get home.  Molly is very motivated by wet food.  She likes to be carried around the house and getting attention.   ##2098164##

Amy is the most adorable, loveable, dare devil there is! She will run to greet you every time you walk into the room, loves to be held like a baby, purring the second you pick her up, and will hold your face and give you kisses.Amy would need a feline friend to help her be her best self. Amy has a lot of energy and enjoys rough play so she will need a patient friend (preferably one who is bigger then her and can match and perhaps temper her play style to take the crazy down a notch).  Amy is an endlessly curious, fearless girl with the full Tortie-tude energy.Her curiosity got her into a little scrape before she was found and she had a pretty big injury to her back foot. She's all healed up now and has the cutest little three-toed foot, which we think adds to her unique charm but has not slowed her down for one moment. Amy loves to cuddle with her people and her feline friends, has learned to tolerate cat-friendly dogs, and is looking for a home with lots of climbing possibilities and adventures!I've never seen her back down from a challenge or run in fear from anything. Meet our “Artist” Litter: Frida Kahlo, Anna Boch, Selma Burke, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Jackson Pollock! These sweet three-month-old kittens come with a sad story…they were found, along with their mother, as strays and brought into a local vet hospital where sadly they learned that mom was positive for leukemia. Unfortunately, three of her five babies also tested positive, and yes, while their lifespans will be shorter, they are still so deserving of loving homes! Frida, a stunning calico, is extremely sweet and an affectionate gal. She is gentle, gives kisses, and also loves to play with your hair. She has been FIV/FELV tested and is negative. Anna, the other gorgeous calico, loves to cuddle. She’s also a bit water-obsessed and likes to watch water drip from the sink and shower. Anna also yearns for adventure and likes to climb. She also does great with dogs. While she is positive for leukemia, it is not transferrable to dogs (only cats). Selma is an all-black beauty! She loves to give kisses and is as sweet as can be! She is the adventurous one, always scaling the baby gates in the home and running into the living room to explore. She’s also fearless around the dogs. Georgia is an adorable brown & white tabby. She loves to play, even with your hair like her sister, but is gentle. She’s negative for feline leukemia. Jackson, the only boy in the litter, also loves water like his sisters and will even come into the shower with you. His black coat is so soft and he’s also a big cuddler. Ideally, we would love to find a home for Frida and Georgia together (the negatives) and have Anna, Selma, and Jackson (the positives) adopted in pairs or separately to homes with no other cats. Dogs, however, are ok. We are happy to share more about feline leukemia for anyone interested. They’re also great with kids so a family would be perfect for these kitties! Their adoption fee is $250 each and Frida Kahlo, Anna Boch, Selma Burke, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Jackson Pollock are vaccinated, microchipped, and will be spayed/neutered when of age so you must return to our vet in Bethel, CT for that appointment. Meet Gumball!  (In Texas)Gumball is a sweet and shy girl who was brought to her finder's patio by her Momma along with her siblings in May of 2023.  She may be a bit reserved at first, but she truly blossoms into a loving and cuddly companion once she gets to know you.Gumball absolutely adores being brushed.  She completely enjoys her morning and evening snuggles. Gumball's favorite pastimes include sitting in the window and bird watching - she's truly a little observer of the world. Paisley was a young mama who did and excellent job and now it's her time to shine! Paisley is very affectionate with no catitude at all! Paisley is now spayed, up to date on vaccinations and ready for her forever home.

She weaves in and out of your legs spinning a tale that could fill a diary. She's a happy girl who runs up to greet you  when you come home. While kittens are oodles of fun, there is a special pleasure in adopting a young cat who still has her youthful energy but whose personality is bit more developed!  Named after the young adult diary book, Go Ask Alice!, this literary cat gave birth to an adorable kitten litter of banned books and now deserves a loving home of her own.  Like the troubled runaway teen in Go Ask Alice!,  this beautiful calico kitty has been on a perilous journey in the outside world, and is now ready to be safe in her forever home.   She's surprisingly playful and a purrfect calico  just needs an experienced household  Young mamas sometimes lose their sense of their own body sometimes, and they get confused by affection. Alice will sometimes put her mouth on you when she's frustrated or when she's over stimulated (she doesn't like her backend petted), which may scare a child or someone not familiar with cat behavior. She never bites down and will stop when told but it is something to be mindful of; she just communicates with her teeth.   You can find our adoption process as well as a link to our application on our website:  https://sophialorangekittenrescue.com/adoption-instructions All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), are up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV.  They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment.  All litter trained of course. And we pre-register the microchip which will automatically transfer to you at adoption keeping us as secondary contact. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
