Suzanne is a very friendly girl who loves to have attention and spend time with people. She seems open to being friends with other cats and would be a great companion for another adult or senior cat in your home or just for you! Suzanne has tested positive for FIV, also known at kitty Aids. Just like with people it is NOT contagious through casual contact. It's safe to share food, water, and litter box with a negative cat. FIV is only passed by a deep bite wound, where saliva from the positive cat enters the blood stream of another kitty. This is very rare in socialized house cats. FIV cats can have a shorter life span in part due to the fact that with a compromised immune system they are more prone to contracting infections. FIV positive cats must live strictly indoors to reduce the chances of contracting something dangerous. It is NOT a death sentence! Meet Annie & Hallie, two beautiful dilute calico five-month-old sisters from our "Parent Trap" litter! Their journey started in July when one of our dog adopters in Watertown called to say that they found a baby kitten in their front yard in some brush. After an initial search turned up no other cats, we took her in, and it didn’t take long for her to work her charm—becoming what we lovingly call a "foster fail." Then, just two weeks later, the rest of her family was discovered living in a rundown garage nearby—a young mom, Elizabeth James, and her four kittens: Annie, Hallie, and their siblings Nick Parker and Chessy. These girls are inseparable and must be adopted together. While Annie is the braver and more outgoing of the two, Hallie is a bit shyer and often looks to Annie for confidence and comfort. Annie is the first to explore new things and the first to greet you, while Hallie tends to hang back at first but will approach when she feels comfortable and trusts you. Once she does, you’ll be treated to a sweet session of pets and purring. Both sisters are incredibly curious and love to explore, but they’re a bit cautious with new people and situations. Patience and preferably cat experience are key to helping them adjust to their new home. They’re very social with other cats and are quick to run over and greet any kitty who comes by, purring and showing affection. Annie & Hallie are ready for a patient and loving home where they can continue to thrive. Their adoption fee is $500 and Annie & Hallie are vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative, microchipped, and spayed. Meet Honey! Our petite TRIPOD sweetheart - wow incredible! WOWWWW is the only word to describe this fantastic beauty! Meet our 3 yr old completely gorgeous and purrfect TRIPOD Honey! She is absolutely the sweetest gentle soft and wonderful! She had quite a sad story: we rescued her after she was abandoned at a hi kill shelter after she was injured in a questionable situation and they did not want to pay or vet her. Remarkably she was healthy other than her mangled leg and happy just scared and of course gorgeous with soft fur and so poofy! She is sweet and gentle and probably would be best in a home that is quiet and needs a gentle love bug. She seems fine around gentle kid and other gentle pets. She takes a short time to decompress but she will DEFINITELY be stressed at time of adoption as she is very quiet and gentle and transition can be stressful. Honey is a TRIPOD - meaning missing a leg - but she is normal in every way and does not need any medical or physical differences than other cats. Luckily they finally decided to give up the kittens (now older) who had bad flea allergies from lack of care and we quickly treated and got them back to healthy diets and habits - now they are ready and OMG LOVERS each and every one - they still look like hot messes but that will improve once in a happy home! each sweeter than the next Sylvester - 3yr old Maine Coon Siberian med-long haired floof AND 3m old Kilo housemate Siamese Van mix - these handsome boys were in the same home and came from tons of love - both gorgeous and super sweet cuddlers! Sylvester takes slightly longer to decompress in a new home so prob better in a quieter setting, while Kilo is a cat dog and ready for action! We always have Barn and Farm cats to place! Most of these are cats who are not friendly with people, although many do become so over time. These cats live outside primarily and help reduce rodent populations often found on farms. Barns, feed stores, warehouses or any building that offers a cat escape from weather and predators is ideal for placement. We like to place in pairs but that is not required. The cats in this photo are shy/timid with people but not aggressive and would do best in a barn or farm home, not as a house cat. Callie has been adopted! Remy is a sweet, affectionate, curious 5 year old female cat. She was adopted as a kitten and lived with her single owner with no children or other pets. A transfer out of the country has Remy in need of a new home. Recently Remy spent 6 weeks with a relative who had an adult cat. They loved her and hoped to adopt her but Remy did not live well with their cat. We now hope to find Remy a home with no other cats. We are not sure how she would do with dogs or kids. Remy is well adjusted to inside living, she is healthy, and up on vaccines. She has good litter box manners and has a healthy appetite. Remy is affectionate and likes to be pet and sit on laps or cuddle nearby. She is playful, sometimes feisty and she enjoys her toys. She shows love to her carers and greets you when you come in the door. She has been well loved and cared for and is in need of a loving home.
