Story
Penny is a 19 month old Brittany/Hound mix. She is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, Heartworm negative and on preventative.  She minds her foster mom really well and has great recall. Penny knows the command sit and is working on stay. She is not very vocal and does not bark much. She loves running in the yard and is good with other dogs. Penny loves her toys and she also loves treats. Penny is a very healthy girl. Penny's foster mom says she is not destructive and loves to lounge in her dog bed. Because she gets overly excited, Penny jumps on people, but her foster mom is working with her.  Because of her jumping, Penny will not be a good fit for a home with small children.  Penny is being fostered in Tennessee. Her adoption fee is $325.00 and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad with the adopter taking the last leg, usually less than 100 miles.  Applications for Penny can be found on www.nbran.org.  For more information, email dltuthill@epbfi.com or ztasuzanne@gmail.com.  November 4, 2024, 9:17 pm

I’m Ford, a 1 ½-year-old, 49 lb orange and white neutered male Brittany, and I’m still on the hunt for an amazing home filled with love, snuggles, and, most importantly, TOYS! Why I’m the Perfect Goofball for You: Toy Enthusiast: Did I mention I LOVE toys? Squeaky ones, bouncy ones, chewy ones—you name it, I want it! You can’t spoil me too much when it comes to toys! Best Friend Material: I’m all about being your loyal buddy. Whether it’s playing with my toys, chewing on bones, or just being by your side, I’m here for it all. Yard Patrol Expert: I need a physical fenced-in yard so I can run, play, and chase away any critters that think they own the place. They need to know who's boss (hint: it’s me). My Dream Home: A Family Who Loves Fun: I’m looking for a family that loves to play and doesn’t mind a little silliness. Lots of Snuggles: I’m a sweetheart who loves to snuggle up and be close to my humans. A Yard for Adventures: I need a safe place to run and play to my heart’s content. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, toy-obsessed pup who will keep you laughing and loving life, I’m your guy! Let’s make every day an adventure filled with fun and friendship. I’m Ford, and I can’t wait to meet you! The adoption fee for TX/Ford, who lives in Marble Falls, TX  is $400,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making TX/Ford  part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the South Central Region Coordinators Chris Wagoner at cwnbran@gmail.com  , Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com and/or Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net  and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Ford. Transportation can be arranged up to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.November 11, 2024, 7:20 am

Story
Hi, I'm Ramsey!  I'm a mighty handsome 7 1/2 year old purebred orange/white brittany weighing about 42 pounds. I recently found myself in need of a new home when my mom passed away. She's had me my whole life, so things look a little bit different now. Can you help me find my way to my new home? I've got a heart full of sweetness and a mind that's as sharp as a tack. I've got energy to burn and a playful spirit that can't be tamed. I'm a bit of a lone wolf and have always been an only dog. I don't mind companionship sometimes, but usually want to do my own thing. But, I do make sure to check in with my humans and like to sit with them on the couch.  The great outdoors is my playground and water? Oh boy, do I love a good splash!  I even like baths! I'm also pretty keen on anything that moves. I'm told I have a great looking point.  I'm also told I have some quirks, but who doesn't right?  You see, my mom used a laser pointer to play with me when I was young, so now I fixate on and chase shadows and moving light.  I'm a real smart cookie and know sit, stay, back, shake/paw, leave it and no. I'm looking for someone who can keep up with my energetic lifestyle, who has a physically fenced yard that I can run and play in, and a pool or watering hole of some kind would be a bonus!  My favorite place to be is outside and I love chewing on sticks and chasing after a ball. I'm housebroken and crate trained, neutered and up to date on vaccinations. I'm overall a well-mannered gentleman.  If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent and independent companion, please consider opening your heart and home to me! You can submit an adoption application to www.nbran.org and mention my name! I am currently located in eastern NC and can be transported up to 1400 miles, with the adopter driving the last 100 or so miles.  My adoption fee is $350 to help cover my vetting and help NBRAN continue to rescue pups like me!  For any further questions, please email jessica@thesouthernway.comNovember 7, 2024, 3:56 pm

Story
Meet Maddy May: Your Sassy, Sweet Zoomie Expert! Hi, I’m Maddy May! I’m a 2-year-old, 39 lb orange and white roan Brittany with a personality as dazzling as my looks! I’m spayed, housebroken, crate-trained, up-to-date on all my vaccines, heartworm and tick negative, and on prevention. Basically, I’m the whole package! I’m all about playtime, and I’m great with other dogs—as long as they’re respectful! I’m not a fan of puppies or small dogs who want to climb all over me, but with the right playmate, I’m all in. I love daycare and have a blast every day, so I’ll need a physical fenced yard for my legendary Zoomies. I was a stray once, and I never want to get lost again. Everyone says I have an amazing personality, and let’s be honest—just look at me! I’m ready for a family to spoil me, love me, and let me keep them laughing every day. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, sassy sidekick, I’m your girl! The adoption fee for OK/Maddy May who lives in Tulsa, OK  is $400,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making Maddy May  part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the South Central Region Coordinators Chris Wagoner at cwnbran@gmail.com  , Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com and/or Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net  and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Maddy May. Meet Rusty Lee: Your Freckled, Fabulous Best Friend! Hey there! I’m Rusty Lee, the most handsome boy you’ll ever meet (or so I’m told!). I’m a 1-year-old, neutered, orange and white roan Brittany with adorable freckled legs and a sweet smile that will melt your heart. I’m housebroken, crate trained, and up-to-date on all my vaccines—basically, I’m the total package! I’m full of energy, love, and just the right amount of goofy. Whether we’re going for a walk, playing fetch, or just hanging out at home, I’m your guy. Oh, and did I mention my love for car rides? I’ll happily sit in the front seat with you… until I decide to face backward and make you laugh! I’m great with dogs, people, and probably even cats, so I’d fit right into your family. I love giving kisses, being the life of the party, and making sure you never stop smiling. If you’re ready for a companion who’s as sweet as he is silly, I’m the boy for you! Let’s make every day an adventure full of love and laughter. My Wishes: A four-legged playmate, physical fenced in yard, COOKIES, belly rubs, and snuggles in bed and watching tv in your lap.
