Story
Gentle & Vulnerable: My name is Zeke. I’m a special boy who’s still learning that the world is a safe place. I might need a little extra time, but I promise, once I trust you, my heart is all yours. I am a 8 1/2 yr old, 44 lbs of handsome orange/white neutered male Brittany, with a tender heart that’s still learning how wonderful the world can be. You see, I lost my owner, had to face a whole new world without my owner, and while I may seem a little scared and unsure at first, all I really want is to feel safe and loved. I’m what they call a diamond in the rough—a shy boy with a heart full of love just waiting to shine. It might take me a little time to trust, but once I do, I’ll be your most loyal shadow, quietly soaking up all the love and cuddles you can offer. I just need someone patient and kind, who understands that building trust is the greatest gift you can give a soul like mine. I may not be the first to greet you at the door or jump into your lap—but give me time, love, and a little space, and I’ll be the sweetest companion you could ever ask for. Together, we can take this journey at my pace, and I promise, once I trust you, I’ll give you all the love in my heart. I’m crate trained, neutered, up-to-date on my vaccines, heartworm & tick negative, and as healthy as can be. I’d love a calm home, maybe with another gentle doggy friend who can show me the ropes, and a physical fenced in yard where I can feel free and safe enough to stretch my legs and enjoy the sunshine. I am living in my foster trainer’s house; she has shown me so much.  She has been kind and patient.  I have learned that I can be loved, scratched, give some cuddles, and have some fun. I have learned going in and out of doors is ok, it is safe to come out of the crate.  I love to run and play in the yard. I love my treats.  My trainer has taught me paw, and she does lots of training games.  The best part is all the treats I get.  When she is done, I look at her and say, “Let’s do more!!!” Foster Trainer:  He is a sweet boy, but he will need a gentle and patient person. Loving and kind.  Zeke makes me giggle when I scratch his rump, and he does the rump scratch dance.  He has come such a long way in just a short time. The adoption fee for OK/Zeke Zek, who lives in Tulsa, OK  is $350,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making OK/Zeke Zek part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the South Central Region Coordinators Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com  and/or Chris Wagoner at cwnbran@gmail.com and/or Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net  and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Zeke Zek.  Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.    April 22, 2025, 5:04 pm

Story
This is a really difficult post to make, but I’m looking for a loving new home for Colt, my 7-year-old Brittany. I’m relocating and can only bring two dogs, and this decision breaks my heart. I’ve had Colt since he was 9 months old and he’s truly a sweet, smart, and loyal dog. He’s about 32 pounds, crate and e-collar trained, great with kids, and has always lived with other dogs and cats. He would likely enjoy a dog buddy in his new home. Colt is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, and though not formally trained for hunting, he loves to explore and would thrive with outdoor time. He may not be ideal for homes with free-range chickens. Colt would make a wonderful companion for an active person or family with space to roam. I’m willing to travel to find the right home. Please message me or apply if you’re interested.

Story
Hi, my name is Roan. I'm a 5-year-old male Roan Brittany with mixed colors of brown, and white. I am creative, crate trained and house-trained. Despite my age, I am mature beyond my years. While very friendly, I am not very active and would prefer to hang out in the house or on the sofa. Although I'm only five 5 years old, my foster mom calls me an old soul. She seems to have this fantasy that I would enjoy hanging out on the sofa watching reruns of Lawrence Welk. She also seems to have this idea that I would like past TV episodes of Rin Tin Tin.  With my first family, I lived with my sister. She was a bully, and I put up with her behavior for years. When we were surrendered to a foster home, through no fault of our own, I decided that I was not going to put up with her giving me such a hard time. I defended myself and she got the message that she had gone too far. Thankfully, I was separated from my sister. Today I prefer to be alone and would do well as only one dog.  I am easy going and like to stop and smell the flowers. I enjoy meeting new people especially women. They think I'm handsome. Sometimes, I like to picture myself as a gentleman, opening doors for pretty human ladies or presenting them with bouquets of colorful flowers. I do not run around and play on my own. To avoid weight gain I will need to be exercised. Dog parks and daycare are not possible for me. I really don't know how well I would get along with cats. I do well walking on a leash, although I still pull a bit. However, with training and persistence, I will easily overcome this. I don't have any bad habits and I'm not picky about food. I'm up to date on all my vaccines as well as being heartworm- negative and micro-chipped.  My foster mom will tell you that I have a calm and well-mannered disposition, all of which is true. I'm looking forward to living in a home surrounded by love.   Please contact the TN coordinators below for more information on Roan. Story
I met Ranger in a target parking lot in Murfreesboro, TN. I adopted him and I was very happy with him, he is a very smart and good dog. However I found out ive very allergic to his hair and my work schedule isnt giving this puppy the proper attention he needs, I want to give him to a family that has land and room for him to play and run around! He is very loving and loves to play with his cow chew toy, mr. Moo. I love him to death but I need him to have a better life than what I can give him and especially room to grow!

Story
Meet Charley – A Burst of Joy Waiting for a Home! Bonjour! I’m Charley, a 3½-year-old, 34 lb black and white French Brittany with a heart full of love and a nub that never stops wagging! I’ve been waiting patiently in boarding, dreaming of soft beds, belly rubs, and the simple joy of finally belonging to someone. I’m a healthy, happy boy—neutered, up-to-date on all my vaccines, heartworm and tick negative, and on prevention. But what I don’t have yet is a foster home… and that’s where you come in. Would you be interested in being my foster family to begin my journey to find my forever home? Let’s get this out of the way – yes, I’ve been called a “bull in a China shop,” but I promise I’m not trying to wreck the place! I just have tons of energy, love being with people, and sometimes I get so excited about snacks and cuddles that I forget my manners (but hey, I’m learning!). &#226&#156&#168 Why you’ll love me: I’m full of Brittany energy and joy I love snacks, attention, and being around people I’m a total cuddle bug (once I burn off some zoomies!) I just need someone to help me with a few manners (I get a little too excited about treats!) A kind photographer said, “Charley is beautiful and SO happy to be with people. He just needs a little help learning to take treats gently and would thrive in a home where he’s loved and guided.” I do need: A 6-foot physical fence to keep my speedy paws safe A calm, patient foster who sees my potential A home without small children while I work on my excitement Lots of love, consistency, and belly rubs &#239&#184&#143 NBRAN covers all my vetting—you just provide the love, structure, and soft place to land. Fostering truly saves lives… and mine is waiting to begin with you. If your heart is saying “Oui, Oui Charley!” I’m in Tulsa, OK, but transport can be arranged up to 1,400 miles (you just cover the last 100). Are you the one who will help me go from boarding to belonging? Fill out a foster application at www.nbran.org and let’s start this beautiful journey together.April 10, 2025, 11:29 am

Zoomies? Check. Cuddles? Double Check. Meet Carter Lee – The Full Package! Howdy! I’m Carter Lee, a handsome 2-year-old, 38 lb orange & white Brittany with a glorious tail and a heart full of love (and maybe a little mischief ). I’ve been waiting oh-so-patiently in boarding, dreaming of soft beds, belly rubs, and a foster home. Would you be interested in being my foster family to begin my journey to find my forever home? .&#226&#156&#168 Why you’ll fall in love with me: I do adorable tricks like walking on my hind legs (yes, I’m that talented!) I sit sweetly for cookies (because… duh, cookies ) I love to collect toys, show them off, and zoom after them with all my Brittany excitement I’m great with dogs, kids, and people – just an all-around happy guy! I LOVE doggy doors and even wanted to try the SLIDE at a foster home (so fun!) I’m housebroken, listen to “no,” and I’m working hard on my leash manners What I’m wishing for: A fun foster sibling or two to run and play with A 6-foot privacy fence (no chain-link, please – I’m an athlete!) A home that will help me channel my zoomies into something amazing—like AGILITY! A soft place to land, where I can feel loved, safe, and spoiled I’m neutered, healthy, up-to-date on all vaccines, heartworm & tick negative, and on prevention. I’m just a sweet, skinny boy looking to be my best self. I promise to make you laugh, keep you company, and give you all the tail wags and cuddles you could ever want. A kind photographer said he is bundle of love and energy.  He loves to run and play. He would do well with another fun pup to run, chase, and a physical fence.    Fostering saves lives—and it could change mine forever. NBRAN covers all my vetting. You provide the love, the soft place to land, and the encouragement that helps me find my forever. If your heart is saying "yes," please visit www.nbran.org to fill out a Volunteer/Foster application. I’m waiting in Tulsa, OK, but transport can be arranged up to 1,400 miles (you’d only need to cover the last 100!). Ready to foster me and be part of my journey to forever? Let’s get this tail a waggin’!          April 9, 2025, 9:54 am
