Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Odin – 35 Pounds of Genius, Charm, and Unstoppable Spirit Odin isn’t your average dog—he’s a brainy, beautiful, fiercely independent escape artist with a heart of gold. Adopted out twice, he’s come back through no fault of his own—his humans just weren’t quite ready for the full Odin experience. At around 39 pounds, Odin may be small in size, but his personality and smarts are huge. He can slip out of nearly any fence, crate, leash, or collar—he’s basically the canine Houdini. But he’s not trying to be difficult—he’s just too clever for confinement and too curious to sit still. What Odin truly needs is a partner. Someone who’s ready to share their life with a loyal shadow who wants to help with everything—especially hands-on, blue-collar projects. Whether you’re building a fence, fixing a truck, or hauling supplies, Odin wants to be right there with you, soaking it all in and maybe offering a few opinions of his own. With structure, stimulation, and a strong bond, Odin will absolutely thrive. He’s affectionate, loyal, eager to learn, and happiest when he’s by your side, doing life together. And yes—he’s absolutely stunning, inside and out. Are you the one to meet Odin where he’s at and bring out the best in this beautiful boy? He’s ready when you are. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, my name is Clara. I came to the Olive Branch as a stray. A nice man kept me and tried to find my owner for several days until OBARR had room for me. Sadly, no one came for me, so here I am looking for a new forever home. I am a very active girl, who loves to run. I get the zoomies in the play yard and run like the wind. I would love a (high) fenced yard so I can run and run. I'm a little too active for small children, but older ones or teens would be good. I seem to get along with most dogs and would love to meet any dogs in your home, just to make sure we will be good friends. My fondest hope is to find an active family that will take me on adventures. I love to explore and experience new things. The only deal breaker for me would be cats. I heard one of the ladies here say that I am cat crazy! Chasing them is such fun... well fun for me, but probably not the cats. So, a home without cats for me! I have been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, combo tested (all negative) and up to date with my preventives. If you think we would be a good match, please fill out the adoption application on this website.  ♡Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 6, 2026, 1:49 pm

Story
Meet Layla!Through no fault of her own, Layla found herself at the shelter after being surrendered because of her habit of chewing…well…pretty much anything she could get her paws on. Shoes, toys, maybe a suspicious-looking pillow or two — Layla has definitely been known to redecorate! But here’s the thing about Layla: she’s so much more than that one little quirk. During her time at the shelter, she has shown everyone what a wonderful dog she truly is. Layla has been fantastic around other dogs and has even done well around cats, proving that she can be a great companion in a multi-pet household. She’s affectionate, friendly, and clearly just wants a place where she belongs.Like many dogs, Layla may simply need a little structure, plenty of appropriate toys, and some guidance to help channel her chewing into the right things. With patience, love, and maybe a good stash of durable chew toys, Layla has all the potential to thrive in a home again.Layla deserves a second chance — a family willing to see the sweet, loving dog behind the habit and give her the fresh start she’s been waiting for. If you’re looking for a loyal companion and are ready to help Layla write her next chapter, she’s ready to meet you. 💛🐶Give us a call at (740) 314-5583 for more information!ADOPTION APPLICATION:All adoption applications are completed at the shelter unless otherwise noted.FOSTER APPLICATION:Want to be a hero for a homeless animal in need? Story
Meet Goober — and yes, the name fits perfectly. This all-white boxer is a walking cartoon character with an underbite so legendary it steals the spotlight everywhere he goes. He’s dorky, lovable, and completely unaware of his own… creative interpretations of bathroom etiquette.Let’s be honest: Goober currently has absolutely no idea where he should be peeing. Structure? Routine? Boundaries? He’s heard of them. Probably. Maybe. But with consistency and guidance, this goofy guy has all the potential to learn the ropes. What he lacks in polish, he makes up for in personality. Goober is playful, silly, and full of that classic boxer charm. He doesn’t mean to be chaos — he just needs someone willing to show him how to channel it.Goober’s Ideal Home:A patient, structured household that’s ready to commit to training and routine. Someone with a sense of humor is a must — because living with Goober will absolutely keep you entertained. If you’ve been looking for a dog who’s 50% sweetheart, 50% comedic relief, and 100% in need of a life coach, Goober is ready to enroll in your household immediately. 🐶✨Give us a call at (740) 314-5583 for more information!ADOPTION APPLICATION:All adoption applications are completed at the shelter unless otherwise noted.FOSTER APPLICATION:Want to be a hero for a homeless animal in need? Story
Reintroducing ZOE! Zoe here is a sweetheart of a dog. She just keeps getting the short end of the stick - no fault of anyone's. First time in 2023 she was adopted, but returned after a year due to a new baby in the home and her having separation anxiety. Second adoption earlier this year, unfortunately there is a family member with serious medical issues so she needed to come back. With that said - she is great with kids and most other dogs (we would suggest a meet and greet!). No cats though - she just isn't a fan. This girl knows sit, down, shake paw, and probably more that we haven't discovered yet. Her one flaw we see right now - she needs to lose some WEIGHT! She is currently around 10ish lbs over weight so we started her on weight management food. She is currently 58 lbs. She should be closer to 45. She is around 2-1/2 years old, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines including rabies. She was 4DX tested and was negative on those (heartworm/lyme, etc - but we will be resting to make sure that is still accurate since last done in February). We sure hope this girl doesn't have to stay for long in the shelter. She has smiles for days! *Adoption Fee: $25
