Story
Navy came with his housemate Sprout to CVHS when his family had major life challenges. Navy is very friendly, will jump to greet you, and hopes you will let him give you many kisses. He loves car rides, attention from humans, and to run! He previously lived with a child under 6 years old, and has recently spent a day with a 3 year old. He`s initially jumpy, but calms quickly, and is happy to sit quietly by their side. He did great living with canine pal Sprout, and has met a few dogs here that he did really well with, adjusting his play to suit them. Navy cannot live with cats, as he will chase them, and not playfully. When his people were not around, he was confined to the kitchen and did well for a few hours at a time. He is not crate trained. Navy walks nicely on leash with a harness; he will pull with only a collar. He`s a very curious boy, and likes to know what you`re up to around the house, but will also settle in for a nap if you aren`t exciting enough.A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Navy`s $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about him, and to determine if you should meet Navy.

Story
Nugget's a man on a mission - tell him to fetch his toy and watch him work. With a stash of toys and sticks, only the perfect one will do. Next to his human is Nugget's happy place – cuddles guaranteed! He's a mellow dude but enjoys short walks - until he's had enough and his built-in meter tells you "enough for today, human." Nugget, our longest-standing foster, requires a solo pet home. This 3-year-old, 47-pound Boxer mix is crate trained and is housebroken. He is a bit timid around new people, so slow introductions will be needed. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. Nugget is a Pronature Pet. No adoption fee, 6 months of free Pronature food, and a $50 gift card from Pet Food Warehouse❤️ Fill out an application at pottersangelsrescue.org/adopt.

Story
Say hello to Bella, the charming and spirited pup who’s ready to steal your heart! Bella is all about playtime, especially with her fellow rescue pals—she could spend hours frolicking in the yard! While it may take her a little time to warm up, once Bella trusts you, she’ll shower you with endless affection and loyalty. Bella thrives on slow introductions with well-balanced dogs, making her an ideal companion for other furry friends that match her energy. She’s crate-trained and settles in easily, though her playful nature means doggy beds don’t stand a chance—they quickly become her favorite toys! Highly motivated by treats, Bella is eager to learn and responds well to training. She walks well on a leash but can get easily distracted, so a gentle leader might help her focus during outings. Though Bella prefers the comforts of home, she’ll need a little encouragement to embrace the joys of a walk. She can feel anxious around other dogs on her adventures, sometimes expressing her excitement a bit loudly. But remember, every rescue has their quirks, and Bella’s incredible qualities far outweigh any challenges! Bella is ready to find her forever home with a family that understands and loves her just as she is. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who will fill your days with joy, Bella is the perfect match! To add Bella to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. She is wagging her tail and wiggling her butt at just the thought of finding her forever home and her story is just beginning. Her next chapter could be with you! Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2149754##

Ali is a wonderful older dog that would love a home to hang out in. Ali would love a family where she can live quietly so an adult only home would be ideal. Having other children around to visit would be ok.Please call 802-892-5300 for more information or fill out the online application at www.riversideanimalrescue.org

Good with kids, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Blue is a 2-3 year old, neutered Pit Bull mix who has basic house manners.  He was a one-owner dog in a great home until a few weeks ago. We thought he'd be great for us with our other dog, but we later found out due to dog reactivity he will need to be a single-dog home. He seems to be insistent on being alpha and doesn't seem to respect a female owner. He's shown dog reactivity, and recently some aggressive tendencies towards other dogs. He's incredibly smart, super trainable, and has been very sweet in-home, friendly with people and kids. He needs a place where he can get his energy out and loves to sleep and snuggle. Blue is such a special, sweet pup!   This is a courtesy post.  Please contact Jo Lord at jolordbills@gmail.com or call 212-203-5909 with any inquiries. Story
Gordie is a 3 yr old, full American Bulldog. Everyone says “Pit”, but google the breed, and voila! Gordy has been with cats, dogs of all sizes, small animals, and kids and does well. She'd 57 lbs, but don't tell her the vet said she needs to lose 12-14 lbs. Why we call her Gordie and not her full name Gordita ( thick pancake). Gordie is housetrained and knows her name. Gordita will walk and explore or crash on a fluffy dog bed as long as you like. We often call dogs “Diamond in the rough.” This one is just a diamond. Fostered in Montpelier, VT.
