Story
Meet Bunny (F) born 11/28/24. Mom & Dad are Boxer/Coonhound Mixed. Very sweet goofy girl full of life and love. Knows basic commands, house broken, & crate trained. Loves her crate most at bedtime, prefers to sleep in there alone and feels safe. She loves baths, doesn't mind grooming ears & nails and is super sweet with her toys. Not at all destructive, although she does love a freshly fallen leaf and will steal & shred any she can catch. She is 56lbs, spayed, UTD on shots, microchipped, takes monthly heartworm/flea and tick medicine. Very healthy beautiful girl needs a loving home with lots of safe space to run free and feel the wind in her fur. Adopter should have a fenced in yard to provide the safe space she requires. We have kept her as a favor to a friend, as she came from a litter of 18 pups and Mama just could not keep up. As well they needed help with placement. She comes with EVERYTHING!! Crate, bedding, harnesses, collars, coats, all vet paperwork, toys, treats, food, ETC!

Story
We are awaiting the results from Twiggy's DNA kit but in the meantime we are calling her a Boxer/Lab mix. WE could be totally wrong but we'll see! Twiggy was abandoned sometime during the night in a small neighborhood. We got a call from the women who's house she showed up at and she told us there was an emaciated little pup who needed rescue. We rushed over to pick her up and she was nothing but skin and bones. (before pics available on request) We brought her back to the shelter and noticed that she was drinking a crazy amount of water and peeing like a 100 pound dog! We brought a urine sample to our vet and discovered that she had a pretty bad UTI so we put her on antibiotics and now she's all cleared up. She has since been spayed and vaccinated. She is crate trained, microchipped and ready to roll! She is positively the sweetest little girl you will ever meet! Wouldn't you love to take her home! Twiggy is ready for immediate transport. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $550

Story
Mufasa is a sweet, goofy 2-yr-old boxer mix with a big heart and the personality to match! He's been through a lot - his owner sadly passed away, but this resilient pup is full of love and ready for his next adventure. True to his name, Mufasa is strong, loyal, and affectionate. He's a big-time cuddler who'd love to snuggle up next to you after a romp in the yard and fall asleep with his big, pretty head on your lap, and he's great with other dogs. While he's not the best-trained pup yet, he's smart and eager to learn with a little patience and consistency. He loves sitting for treats, including crunchy vegetables. Mufasa has a history of occasional idiopathic seizures, but they're well controlled with inexpensive medication and he doesn't let it get in the way of enjoying life. If you're looking for a playful and devoted companion with mountains of love to give, Mufasa might just be the new king of your heart!

Story
Ali is a wonderful older 12-year-old dog that would love a home to hang out in. Ali would love a family where she can live quietly so an adult only home would be ideal. Having other children around to visit would be ok. She likes to chase cats but a home with a cat that would stand up to her may be ok with a slow introduction. Medium to large dogs will be ok.Please call 802-892-5300 for more information or fill out the online application at www.riversideanimalrescue.org

Story
Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited or wants something (we now know that comes from the Boxer in her). Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs around 75 pounds. Gypsy has been with us for 3 years, and we don't know why she has not been adopted yet. She is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog we have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with older children. Gypsy is smart and might benefit from more obedience training from someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is a sweet dog. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy must be in the house as a loved family member. She must be walked on a leash and have a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. To emphasize...although Gypsy generally gets along with all dogs (she currently lives in a home with 14 other dogs both large and small and there are no problems), She either needs to be the only dog in the house or only paired with one other large male dog. Gypsy has been with the rescue for 3 years and a change will be scary. She needs an experienced adopter who is patient understanding, and willing to give her the time she needs to get comfortable in a new home. She is a great dog for a single person or couple. Any children should be over 10 years of age. Gypsy spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. She is now heartworm-free and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Brattleboro or White River Junction Vermont.
