Story
This is Mr.B (that’s what we call him). He was found by a Good Samaritan roaming the streets near Station at Lake Murray. There were several posts made online looking for and owner or general information but none have been successful yet. I agreed to take him in because the lady who found him could not have another dog at her apartment. I have had him for two days and here is some info that I currently know:Good with kids but has a tendency to jump on them for their food and for attention. Good with other dogs.Loves to be outside and really needs a home with a dedicated yard and fence. Is extremely affectionate and somewhat clingy. It makes me few he was abandoned at some point. Has anxiety with loud or unexpected noises. My son and I absolutely love Mr. B but we live in a small duplex with no yard or place for outside play. We also aren’t home often to give him the guidance and therapy he requires to gain back his trust and confidence.

Story
Hello everyone! My name is Queen Lala, and my story special one, Before I became the happy, wiggly I am today, life was a little scary. My first owner loved me, but they became very, very sick & so sick that they couldn’t take care of me anymore. One day, I was left behind, and I didn’t understand why. I waited and waited, but no one came back. I went days without food or water, just hoping someone would find me. I was tiny, hungry, and confused but I never stopped hoping. One day my rescuers found me. They scooped me up, gave me water, fed me, held me close, and told me I was safe. That day my new life began. But here is the hard for my family to say..They love me so much, but with four children now and a very busy work and the kid’s school sport schedule, they can no longer give me the time, training, and attention I deserve. A queen like me needs lots of love, patience, and playtime and trust me they want the very best for me. So I’m looking for a forever home.

Unfortunately, she does like other animals. That so far has been her only down fall :( She has been in boarding since February 2026.

Story
Buddy is a sweet and gentle giant. Although short, he is stout. We estimate he is about five years young and very vibrant and affectionate. He likes walks, but not hikes. He’s more of a couch potato. He is very strong, yet calm and easy to handle. He loves young children. Their attention makes him very happy! He can be dog selective as an unaltered male attacked him and injured his eye. It has completely healed and is not painful. His vision is lost in that eye but he still tracks so vets said he was fine to let heal and move forward. It’s part of his charm. He will cuddle on the couch, ride in the car, lay in your lap and sit well for treats. He will make a great companion. He needs a foster to grant him a safe place away from other dogs that don’t like his submissive nature. He is in SC and transport is available.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Main Email CARE (caretoadopt@gmail.com), (803) 622-9813 for more information about this pet. The most accurate and up to date information about adoptable pets is on our official website at www.caretoadopt.org. Meet Kylo!Adoption Fee: $75Kylo is super sweet, but can take a little time to warm up to a new person. Kylo loves attention, gets attached quickly, loves belly rubs and cuddles. We don't know how he is with other dogs or cats. Kylo was fine with 2 large dogs where he wandered up (he was around them for about 2 days). He is reactive at the boarding facility where he lives, however, that is not the best indicator. For this reason, it's best to find him a home as the only pet. Ever heard of a 'heart dog?' This boy is someone's heart and soul, loyal to the ends of the earth, ride or die. Kylo would be an excellent companion for someone who is looking for a friend for life. Please consider giving this beautiful boy a forever home. He will definitely steal your heart! A completed adoption application and home visit are required for approval to adopt a CARE dog. Out of state adoptions okay. All dogs receive a distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, flea & tick prevention and treatment if needed, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE.The most accurate and complete information about available dogs can be found on our official website at www.caretoadopt.org.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.www.caretoadopt.org Adoption saves lives! Story
Hi, I’m Keaton! I was adopted as a puppy, but sadly, several years later, I found myself back at Pawmetto Lifeline. My previous family didn’t quite understand what I needed as I grew bigger—they kept me outside all the time, and I didn’t get to meet many people or other dogs. Because of that, I can be nervous around strangers and reactive when behind barriers. But once I’m out in the open and get to know you, I’m the sweetest, goofiest, most loving dog you’ll ever meet. The staff here has been so kind, and they believe in me—and I’m starting to believe in myself, too. I’m looking for a calm, quiet home with someone who’s patient and experienced. I didn’t get training in my first home, but I’m eager to learn and bond with someone who’ll show me what love really means. If you can give me the time and space I need to open up, I promise I’ll reward you with endless affection, loyalty, and a one-of-a-kind personality. All I want is a forever family who’ll make me part of their lives—for good this time.My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?If my bio shows “Spay/Neutered” with a checkmark, I have already been altered; if you do not see this listed, my surgery is still scheduled and a refundable spay/neuter deposit will be required, which will be returned within 10 business days after my procedure is completed. If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org.Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, you’re welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we’re closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays.

Story
Meet Chuck, our longest resident! This smiley guy is a 3 year old pittie mix. We picked up Good Luck Chuck and 15 other dogs from a rural Florida shelter devastated by hurricanes Helene and Milton, and transported them back to SC to find their final victories. After a full YEAR, Chuck is still waiting for his forever home! He is an energetic, affectionate boy with a true zest for life. He has been wonderful in our care, playing in the yards, running around with staff, and soaking up all the snuggles from volunteers and his favorite people. He is fully housetrained and a fan favorite for doggy day outs! Chuck is happy 24/7 and he will constantly put a smile on your face! He gets along with other dogs after slow, proper introductions. Chuck is an easygoing, lovable goofball who will shower his family with a lifetime of love! We promised Good Luck Chuck that the rest of his life, would be the best of his life.
