She is a super sweet 10 year old gal. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $290 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Meet sweet Octavia! This little girl is around 6-7 months old and came to us from our rural shelter partner when she was only 5 weeks old! Poor girl had a ROUGH start to life but was a fighter and made it through some pretty tough medical conditions. This girl is 100% healthy and is so ready to find her forever home. She has no lasting effects from the battles she fought in the beginning and is just the sweetest and happiest little lady. On top of medical conditions, Octavia then found herself in a situation where she needed rescuing once again. Without going into details we are just happy we have our sweet girl and can spoil her while finding her true forever home. She loves other dogs and does fine with kitties but being a puppy just needs to learn they do not want to play like her other pals do. She is super sweet, doesnt jump, is house trained and does well in crate. Octavia is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped. Our sweet boy, Jupiter is about 7-8 years old. He is one LAZY baby!! He is a big softy and loves to cuddle on the couch. He ONLY BARKS when he wants something, which is usually to go outside to potty, eat dinner, or wants water. We adopted Jupiter 6 years ago from the Charleston Animal Society and he was such a blessing to me and my first son. However, since our family has grown (+2 more kiddos) we are just not able to give him the attention he deserves. He is a very independent fur baby, meaning he likes to hang out more with himself and sleep all day. He is great around older children, who don't want to pull on his ears and doesn't mind too much of our 1-year old to hang out with him, but he prefers to be left alone. We would love if he could go to a home with older children or a family with no children. Jupiter is a great family dog with children over the age of 4-5 years. He is great with MALE dogs only. We do have another dog up for adoption as well and he is included in pic.

This big boy is Harley.  Harley was abandoned by his owners and left tied to a tree.  Despite his former rough life, he is a playful guy that loves to play tug-o-war and snuggle for a nap.  Harley knows basic commands such as sit, stay, shake and lay down.
