Story
We rescued Mark from a Kill Shelter in MD in May 2024.He was on the euthanasia list due to space. He is a sweetheart but can be stubborn sometimes. He is great with kids and cats.He prefers girl dogs over boy dogs but I assume that is because he is not neutered yet(the shelter didnt see the point in wasting money since they were going to euthanize him).He would benefit best with a family with a fenced in yard at least 6ft tall.He has gotten out of our backyard a few times due to our fence only being 4ft and we cant afford to upgrade it yet.He walks on the leash fairly well, can pull if he gets excited but can be redirected easily. We use a collar that vibrates/beeps to help.He loves being a lap dog and loves affection/attention.He is crate trained at night and potty trained.Never has had any sign of food aggression. We love him so much but we have gotten to the point that I can no longer afford to take care of him as a newly single mom of 3 kids.I really hope he can go to a loving family!

Story
We are looking to rehome our sweet boy. He’s a Boxer/Pit mix, full of love and personality. He does great with kids and gets along well with dogs that are his size or larger. He’s loyal, affectionate, and loves being around people. He is 5 years old. However, he cannot be around cats or smaller animals. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, no small pets, and someone who can give him the attention and love he deserves. This is a tough decision, and we’re only doing it to make sure he goes to the right environment where he can truly be happy and safe.

Story
Our 3 year old boxer pitt baby needs a new home. She was abused badly by her first home, so she’s anxious around new people, but once she warms up to you, she loves to play and snuggle up with her people. Preferred homes with no current dogs or only one other medium to large dog. If you’re interested I would love to schedule a play date for you to meet her! She really is the sweetest girl.

Story
Meet Red: Red is about a 2 year old (as of December 2025) boxer / black mouth cur mix (best guess) that weighs about 50 pounds. Red was found on the streets in rural Mississippi with her litter of puppies. The puppies have all been adopted and now it’s her turn. Red is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Red is a very friendly dog. Red is sweet and nice to have around. Red gets along great with other dogs, but we do not recommend that she live with cats. Red is currently house trained to a doggie door and may need some patience while she transitions to another method. We would love for Red to have a home with a fenced in yard so she can run and play freely. Red is up to date on her shots and spayed. Red had been heartworm positive, but has completed treatments and is good to go! If you would like to add this mama into your life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. CURRENT LOCATION: Mississippi, awaiting transport to PA ##2606440##

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Mr. Carl Bones is looking for a family to love! This sweet, 6 mo old boxer mix was found as a stray, starving to death and in pitiful shape, when he was just a baby. It took a while to get him healthy enough to complete his vetting. He was severely anemic from fleas, ticks, and worms, so we had to handle that first, and get some weight on him, before he could be neutered. Thanks to a very kind and committed foster mama, he is now healthy, happy, well socialized, and fully vetted. Carl is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and he loves other dogs, cats, and chickens. He loves all humans, including kids. He is just a fabulous pup, and as a bonus, he has the cutest little under bite imaginable! We believe he is a Boxer mix but probably wont be as large as a full boxer. He is currently about 30 lbs at 6 months old, so he may top out at 40-50 lbs. Dont miss out on this beautiful, well behaved, sweet boy! He is neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.  Carl is located in Arkansas. He can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 Message us or email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Please visit our Facebook page too! https://www.facebook.com/adoptastrayrescueorg For more info regarding adopting, email apps.aasr@gmail.com Thank you for considering one of our rescue babies!December 27, 2025, 9:05 am

Story
Ricky is a handsome senior gentleman with the most adorable frosty face and a little nub tail that never stops wiggling. This sweet boy came to us after experiencing a heartbreaking loss his beloved owner passed away and Ricky is still trying to understand why the person he loved so deeply never came back. Now, hes hoping for a second chance at forever with a family who will show him that love can return.Dont let his age fool you Ricky still loves to move, explore, and enjoy life. He adores going on walks and is always happy to hop in the car for a ride. At home, he loves his toys and will happily entertain himself, though his favorite place is right next to (or on top of) his people Ricky truly believes hes a lap dog.Ricky has wonderful manners and an even bigger heart. He is housebroken, sleeps peacefully through the night, and isnt fussy about his meals. Because of the loss hes endured, he finds the most comfort in being close to his people. When left alone too long, he can become anxious not out of misbehavior, but because he worries the people he loves might disappear the way his owner did. A home where someone is around often, or where Ricky can tag along on daily adventures, would help his heart feel safe again. He is friendly with other dogs and lived briefly with them in a foster home, but Ricky definitely prefers to be the center of attention. Hell gently butt in if another dog is getting love, just to make sure he hasnt been forgotten. For that reason, we think Ricky would be happiest as the only dog, soaking up all the affection hes been missing. Ricky may also do well with a submissive dog that doesn't mind sharing the attention from humans. If youre looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will cherish every moment by your side and remind you just how special a senior dogs love can be, Ricky may be the one youve been waiting for. Complete an application on our website (www.crcpa.org) to come meet Ricky and give this sweet boy the forever home he deserves.Canine Rescue of Central PAKennel #3443

Story
Hey, I’m Bruce, your friendly neighborhood escape artist. I’ve landed at the shelter a few times because I’ve got energy for days and I like to check out the world if nobody’s keeping an eye on me. What can I say? I just love life. I’m super outgoing, love snacks, and I make plenty of happy noises when I’m getting attention or playing with dog friends. I listen when people or other dogs tell me to tone it down, though. I’m affectionate, playful, talkative, and I walk pretty well on a leash. If you’ve got an active lifestyle and a place that can match my zest for adventure, I’m ready to be your guy.

Story
people were giving away this 8 week old pittie. We could tell he was being miss treated. He was the runt. so we were told he got picked on. He was staying in a dirty home. So we took him to find a better home for him. He has I wanna say one or two shots since we took him to the vet. He around 6 months old we estimated his birthday his February 19th, 2025. My partner is starting a job very soon so we don’t have time for him nor do we have family to watch him. He never been aggressive, . He just plays rough. He loves playing in rivers and fetch. is very much a lap dog even tho he60lbs. He knows how to sit, give paw and lay down, tho he is very stubborn at times. He is crate trained as well. He loves to just run and play. Hes a good boy when it comes to baths. Loves a good nature walk. He just wants to meet everyone. I do feel like he could use a sibling. He rings the bell to go potty. Large cage, toys, bells, food, treats and bowls included. All we ask is updates on him:)

Story
Hi, I’m Bentley, a low-energy, big-hearted boy who’s been through a lot and is ready to find the person I can finally pour all my loyalty into. I may be shy at first, but once I trust you, I love curling up beside you, resting my head on you, and soaking up all the gentle affection you’ll give me. I settled into my foster home quickly, enjoyed having my own cozy space, and always did great in my crate. I’m not a fan of cats or sharing my home with other dogs—I get too focused on them—so I’m looking for a calm home where I can be your one and only. New people don’t worry me much, and my fosters said I was nothing but sweet, soft-eyed, and excited to see them every morning. I’m still learning to feel confident, to eat consistently, and to understand that I’m safe, but with patience and love, I’ll show you just how loyal and gentle I truly am. I’ve had a rough start, but I’m ready for my forever person—maybe that’s you. 3159 Susquehanna Trail N York PA 17406 Kennel #: 3537
