Story
Hi, my name`s Coca! My previous owner could no longer have me so I was surrendered to the shelter. I am a happy-go-lucky pup who enjoys everyone and everything. I have lived with small children as well as other dogs and cats, and did well with all of them. I am certainly open to having animal friends again. I am very energetic and playful and do still need some training and work on my manners. I just can`t help but be excited about life! I am ready to find my furever home and keep my stay at the shelter as short as possible. I hope to meet you soon! ---If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org

Story
The name Casper can be traced back to the “Old Testament” meaning “TREATSURE”! I’m truly a Treasure, I’m Casper, a 1 year old boy that is gentle demeanor, “Smart as a Whip”, Well behaved and have a Fantastic Temperament. At about 60#, I’m 1 of “7” pups turned in at a shelter. Scared and afraid, we only had each other. Lucky for us,” Molly’s Place Rescue” stepped up and brought us into rescue. Our sisters were adopted, but my “2” brothers and I are still here, waiting for “Just the right person/family”. My photo does not do me justice. I’m white with short wiry hair on my face and a little tan circle around one eye and a few tan dots on my ears. These areas will probably darken up as I mature more and fill out. My eyes are deep, dark and endearing! Thought to be a Boxers and Border Terriers mix, I’ve inherited the best of both very intelligent breeds. They are also known for being very people oriented, affectionate and great family pets. We LOVE OUR PEOPLE! I’m great with other dogs, CATS, adults and Even KIDS! Heck, what more do you want? Although I still have some learning, my temperament is soft, calm and initially shy. Once in my comfort zone, I do warm up quickly befriending all who will take “my paw”! No experience needed for me, not even a fenced yard. Walks, rides or a game of Fetch will help me learn and bond with you for life. I’m Casper and I’m waiting to be “YOUR TREASURED Boy”! To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Adoptions fees include the following:    spay/neuter surgery,  microchip and registration,  age appropriate vaccinations,  initial dewormings,  Activyl for fleas,  tested for FeLV and FIV (cats only),  bubble bath prior to going home (dogs only) WE do not "HOLD" animals without an approved application and a non-refundable/non-transferable paid adoption fee.  Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis.  We can not send extra pictures.  WE do not ship, you must pick up the pet.  Kitties must be transported in a secure cat carrier.   Pooches require a "martingale" collar and a non-retractable leash. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 9:38 pm

Story
Hello there! I’m called “Bumble”. You know, the Gigantic, white furred Yeti with long pointed fangs in the movie “Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer”! NO, just Kidding! I am Bumble, BUT a lover of all things. Young, old, humans, other dogs and even cats! I’m a humble boy who loves to play, fetch, eager to please and even tempered! Shy at first when out of my comfort zone, I do warm up quick and give/take affection freely. At just 1 year old, about 60#, I do have a lot to learn. Having been 1 of “7” turned into a shelter at a young age, we stayed huddled close for strength. Scared and unsure of the future, Molly’s Place stepped in and brought us to rescue. Although my sisters, “4”, have been adopted, we “3” boys are still looking for just the right home to call our own. I’ve heard “Good things come to those that wait!” Well, I know there is a plan for my future and I’m a patient boy in nature yet ready anytime to meet my special family. Looking at my brothers, I must say I am the MOST HANSOME of the 3! Snowy white, wiry hair around my face, deep dark expressive eyes, black button nose and a smile that can light up the night when playing and romping. Being “Goofy” comes natural to me, but thought to be Boxer/Border Terrier mix, I do have intelligence and brain power to learn be trained. No fenced in yard required nor prior dog experience required, just down and dirty time, Love to give and experiences to allow me to be the best I can be. How about meeting. I’m Bumble, and I’ll “Bee” all you want me to “Bee” and more! To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Story
Our boy Graham has packed his bags! He is headed to our friend Lyndsey of Obedient Blue for board and train! (This is a great example of where your donations go!). We would LOVE for him to have an adopter lined up to work with him as he “graduates” out of training. Graham is only a year old, he is neutered, current on preventatives, microchipped, house and crate trained. Graham is incredibly smart, highly trainable and very eager to please his handler. He seems to bond closely with a male handler. He is a shepherd mix who needs a confident handler with Shepherd experience who will help him grow into the amazing dog we know he can be! If interested in Graham please email rescueblackdogs@yahoo.com for an adoption application. November 3, 2024, 11:03 am

Story
Chucky is a smart, playful, and affectionate pup who adores his family, including small children. He loves snuggling up in the recliner, imagining he's a 60-pound lap dog, and takes his "job" of protecting his people from any ball-like object very seriously! Chucky is great on leash walks, only tugging lightly, and enjoys new toys (though squeakers don't stand a chance!). With a curious nature and a love for just about any snack, Chucky would make a loyal and loving addition to any home. York County SPCA 3159 Susquehanna Trail North York, PA 17406 Kennel #: 3537
