"Heya, I'm Havana! I am a 5 year old female boxer. I am a sweet, calm girl who enjoys lounging in the sunshine, cuddling up in a plush dog bed, and chowing down on some snacks! I am a little timid, but I also love to play! My foster mom says I am a silly goose, and I suppose that is pretty accurate! I'm very wiggly and happy. Before I came to Zoe's House Rescue, I lived in a breeding kennel. I missed out on getting that one on one attention early on, so being loved and doted on in my foster home is new to me. I think I quite like being treated like a princess! Even though I am shy with new people, I do warm up if I'm given some time and patience. I like other dogs and I'm getting used to the cats in my foster home, they're a little weird and I am politely curious about them. I could be the only dog in the home, or I would be happy to have furry siblings! I am comfortable with big and small dogs. I am spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and have been treated with monthly parasite preventatives. I recently had a dental cleaning, and some bad teeth removed. So far, I haven't had any potty accidents in my foster home. I am also crate trained. I would love to be your girl!" Havana is being fostered in Southern Lancaster County and interested adopters must come to her foster home twice. The first visit is a meet and greet with all the members of the household including existing dogs in the home. The second visit is to take her home. Talk about a total LOVE BUG! So deserving of finding his own home, we promised this incredibly handsome boy a new chance at life when we rescued him from a shelter down south after he had been hit by a car. We made sure that Pluto received the medical care he needed and a skilled veterinary team was able to save his leg!  He now enjoys life using his three strong legs (quite gracefully) and only uses his saved leg to balance.  Pluto LOVES people (both adults & children) and soaking up as much affection as possible ♥ He is such a genuinely happy boy & loves to please! Mia makes the perfect companion, always eager to greet you with her signature boxer wiggle and an abundance of kisses. She is both crate and house trained, and she walks beautifully on a leash. Mia adores being around her people, faithfully following you from room to room and contentedly laying at your feet when it’s time to unwind. She is loyal, affectionate and playful and will be a wonderful companion. Story
Jazzy joined our rescue after a foster saved her from euthanasia at an overcrowded shelter but backed out on her at the last minute.  Jazzy arrived to a temporary foster home almost two weeks ago and we have spent time getting to know her before she heads to boarding, which isn’t ideal. In boarding, she will get loads of attention from staff and our volunteers but nothing beats a home and a foster - or family - of her own. Jazzy is a beautiful and playful boxer mix who loves being active and would make a fantastic hiking buddy. She walks beautifully on a leash and is both house and crate trained, making her an easy companion at home and on the go.  Jazzy is great in the car and enjoys adventures, especially long walks. Though she can be wiggly and full of energy, she’s generally well-mannered, except when tempted by unattended food!  Some new noises or experiences might make her flinch, but she quickly bounces back. Jazzy will do best in a home as an only dog where she can soak up all the love and attention. FOSTER NEEDED! Garrett - this big, young man is sweet and strong, around 2 years old. We think he has boxer, hound (long legs) and probably some pit in him but a dominate breed impacted his height. He is tall and strong. He is playful with other dogs, rough houses with dogs his own size but tones down his behavior with puppies. He is nuts about playing with his empty metal bowl and now a big white bucket.
