"Heya, I'm Havana! I am a 5 year old female boxer. I am a sweet, calm girl who enjoys lounging in the sunshine, cuddling up in a plush dog bed, and chowing down on some snacks! I am a little timid, but I also love to play! My foster mom says I am a silly goose, and I suppose that is pretty accurate! I'm very wiggly and happy. Before I came to Zoe's House Rescue, I lived in a commercial kennel. I missed out on getting that one on one attention early on, so being loved and doted on in my foster home is new to me. I think I quite like being treated like a princess! I would prefer my new home is all adults. I like women more than men. I do warm up if I'm given some time and patience. I like other dogs, and prefer male dogs as my companions. I could be the only dog in the home, or I would be happy to have furry siblings! I am comfortable with big and small dogs. I am spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and have been treated with monthly parasite preventatives. I recently had a dental cleaning, and some bad teeth removed. So far, I haven't had any potty accidents in my foster home. I am also crate trained. I would love to be your girl!" Havana is being fostered in Southern Lancaster County and interested adopters must come to her foster home twice. The first visit is a meet and greet with all the members of the household including existing dogs in the home. The second visit is to take her home. Jazzy joined our rescue after a foster saved her from euthanasia at an overcrowded shelter but backed out on her at the last minute. Jazzy arrived to a temporary foster home almost two weeks ago and we have spent time getting to know her before she heads to boarding, which isn’t ideal. In boarding, she will get loads of attention from staff and our volunteers but nothing beats a home and a foster - or family - of her own. Jazzy is a beautiful and playful boxer mix who loves being active and would make a fantastic hiking buddy. She walks beautifully on a leash and is both house and crate trained, making her an easy companion at home and on the go. Jazzy is great in the car and enjoys adventures, especially long walks. Though she can be wiggly and full of energy, she’s generally well-mannered, except when tempted by unattended food! Some new noises or experiences might make her flinch, but she quickly bounces back. Jazzy will do best in a home as an only dog where she can soak up all the love and attention. He is tall and strong. He is playful with other dogs, rough houses with dogs his own size but tones down his behavior with puppies. We brought Toro home when he was 8 weeks old and we have loved him for years. However, he has developed severe anxiety which has caused him to lash out at my toddler. He would need to be in a home with older children or adults only. He’s always been a single dog so not sure how he would be living with other pets. He is super chill most of the time, he loves to sleep, he doesn’t like walks too much (10 minutes is enough for him) and he is a stage 5 clinger. Before we had kids he was the best pal but our kids have made his anxiety worse and he spends more and more time in the crate which just isn’t great for his quality of life. We want someone who can love on him the way we used to before the anxiety from our kiddos took over his life.

Rufus is a 2-year-old (come January) who loves his owner and the pets around him. He enjoys playing with his toys and other dogs as well! He may be hesitant at first or shy but after a little bit of time getting to know his family animals. Rufus has a blast with other animals. He loves to walk outside and enjoys having to run in fenced in areas. He enjoys sitting around to with his owner and enjoys attention. Rufus does have separation anxiety and s giving supplements for when I am away for long periods of time. Rufus has some behavioral issues with chewing furniture or some objects when he is bored or unsatisfied. Rufus is a friendly dog even though he doesn't know his size. He is up to date on all his vaccinations. Microchipped, and neutered. I would be thankful for him to find a safe and loving place that he can appreciate and be happy.
