"Heya, I'm Havana! I am a 5 year old female boxer. I am a sweet, calm girl who enjoys lounging in the sunshine, cuddling up in a plush dog bed, and chowing down on some snacks! I am a little timid, but I also love to play! My foster mom says I am a silly goose, and I suppose that is pretty accurate! I'm very wiggly and happy. Before I came to Zoe's House Rescue, I lived in a breeding kennel. I missed out on getting that one on one attention early on, so being loved and doted on in my foster home is new to me. I think I quite like being treated like a princess! Even though I am shy with new people, I do warm up if I'm given some time and patience. I like other dogs and I'm getting used to the cats in my foster home, they're a little weird and I am politely curious about them. I could be the only dog in the home, or I would be happy to have furry siblings! I am comfortable with big and small dogs. I am spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and have been treated with monthly parasite preventatives. I recently had a dental cleaning, and some bad teeth removed. So far, I haven't had any potty accidents in my foster home. I am also crate trained. I would love to be your girl!" Havana is being fostered in Southern Lancaster County and interested adopters must come to her foster home twice. The first visit is a meet and greet with all the members of the household including existing dogs in the home. The second visit is to take her home. King is 1 ½ years old, weighs 73 lbs., and is half Boxer, half German Shepherd/Husky mix. King has a big bark when you meet him, but he’s 100% soft inside. He has the best wiggle-butt when he’s excited to see you! King was surrendered because his prior owners were unable to care for him. He was crated a lot in the past and didn’t get proper training as a puppy, so he’s still learning good-boy manners, like potty-training and walking on a leash. King is very talkative at the shelter, so he may benefit from a home without shared walls. King grew up around other dogs and supposedly cats, too, but we can cat test him if you have a kitty at home. King would do fine around older children, but he’s probably too big for the little ones. Ami is purportedly a mix of Boxer, German Shepherd, and Husky, though we’d swear she’s got some hound in her! Ami was surrendered because her prior owners were unable to care for her. She didn’t get proper training as a puppy so she’s still learning where to go potty and how to walk well on a leash. Ami is chatty, so she might do best in a home without shared walls. She grew up around other dogs and supposedly cats, too, but we can kitty test her if you have any feline friends at home. We think Ami would be okay with older kids, too. Patty has been here for TOO LONG! Patty came to us years ago with 8 puppies and being bred for all 5 years of her life, at the time. All puppies were adopted quickly but Patty was confused why she was left behind. Due to her past, she can take some time to trust you. She is extremely food motivated and that's all she needs to like you, treats! She can use some leash training, but she is very smart, and we have not a doubt that she will kill it. Once she loves you, she loves you forever. She loves playing with sticks and tennis balls. Please give Patty a chance, she will make it worth it.
