Story
Deacon spent 6 years of his life in a shelter!! We had to give him a chance. When Deacon came out of the shelter he wasn't quite ready for the outside world. Luckily All The Way Canine Academy stepped up by taking him in to help him adjust to a life outside of the shelter. Deacon is ready to find his forever family and be given a real chance at a life he deserves. Deacon can be shy at first, understandably, but once he opens up he will happily give you butt wiggles and his paw asking for affection. Deacon is loving but doesn't need constant affection and can relax on his own. Deacon will easily relax in the home. He would do well with a crate as the crate is his safe place.

Story
Rocky is a fighter with a heart of gold! This 3-year-old boxer mix has been through some tough rounds. After his previous owner faced homelessness, Rocky found himself in need of a fresh start. Now, he’s ready to step into the ring of life with a loving family by his side. Rocky is a sweet, affectionate boy who will be your ultimate cheerleader. However, he’s a bit particular about his canine teammates, so if you have another pup, we require a meet-and-greet to see if they can be tag-team champs together. This determined underdog does have a few minor medical issues, but don’t worry—we’ll go over everything when you come to meet him. What Rocky needs most is someone to be in his corner, cheering him on and giving him the love he deserves. Story
This cutie is Iris! Iris came to us as a stray, so we don’t know much about her past, but we’re certain her future is bright and full of new adventures! Iris can be a bit nervous with new people and may take a moment to feel comfortable. However, once Iris trusts you, the bond is unbreakable. She loves going on walks, exploring the world around her, and is a big fan of soft treats! Iris already knows how to do "sit" and "paw," and learning new tricks seems to help her focus and feel less scared. If you’re looking for a sweet little lady to keep you warm through the winter months, come meet our gal Iris today! Story
Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited or wants something (we now know that comes from the Boxer in her). Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs around 75 pounds. Gypsy has been with us for 3 years, and we don't know why she has not been adopted yet. She is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog we have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with older children. Gypsy is smart and might benefit from more obedience training from someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is a sweet dog. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy must be in the house as a loved family member. She must be walked on a leash and have a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. To emphasize...although Gypsy generally gets along with all dogs (she currently lives in a home with 14 other dogs both large and small and there are no problems), She either needs to be the only dog in the house or only paired with one other large male dog. Gypsy has been with the rescue for 3 years and a change will be scary. She needs an experienced adopter who is patient understanding, and willing to give her the time she needs to get comfortable in a new home. She is a great dog for a single person or couple. Any children should be over 10 years of age. Gypsy spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. She is now heartworm-free and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to the Pittsburgh area.
