Story
Meet Maple: Maple is estimated to be about a 1.5 year old (as of January 2025) boxer / treeing walker coonhound mix (best guess) that weighs about 50 pounds. Maple was found as a stray in Mississippi with her brother Aspen and luckily found her way into our rescue organization. Maple is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Maple has an excellent temperament! Maple is very, very sweet! Maple is great with other dogs, but doesn’t do well with cats. Maple is very gentle, and has been good with kids she has been around - they have been 8 years and older. Maple is pretty laid back, but she does love toys. Maple seems to be house trained and crate trained. We would love for Maple to have a fenced in yard to run and play freely. Maple is up to date on her shots and spayed. If you are interested in giving this sweet girl a loving home, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Aggie is a joyful, wiggly girl who will make you feel like the most important person in the world. With her always-wagging tail and eager-to-please personality, she’s your personal fan girl, ready to shower you with love and excitement. This sweet, fast little rocket could thrive in dog sports like fast CAT or agility but has a medium energy level—ready for play and exploration, then happy to settle as a couch hippo when it’s time to relax. Dog-friendly and a bit goofy around awkward pups, Aggie enjoys playing with her foster sisters and boyfriends, like Toby and the neighbor’s dogs. She’s making great progress on potty training and house manners, proving her intelligence and adaptability. Whether you’re looking for a yardwork buddy, a loyal companion, or a dog with the potential to earn ribbons, Aggie might be the perfect fit for your family. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. We try to post videos for each pet so you can really get to know them. Story
"Hello! I'm Beau, and I'll be conducting this interview. It's a pleasure to meet you, and I'm eager to see if you're the right fit for the position of my new family! First and foremost, I'm looking for a home where someone can either be home with me most of the time, or where I can go along when they go to work. I am doing okay being left alone in my crate for short intervals (2-3 hours) but I get sad if it's longer than that. I will bark when it's been too long. The good news is that I LOVE going places and I'm a super social butterfly who loves everyone. Second, I am looking for someone who will play ball with me! I love my football and will chase it all afternoon. I'm honestly game for any play activity! I like to chase and fetch, and even a little rough play now and then! I walk very nicely on a leash and I do love a good walk! The third thing I am looking for in my forever family is someone who will teach me new things! I'm a smart guy. My foster dad has taught me Sit, Down, and Come. I will also give my paw for a shake. If you are looking for a constant companion, a playmate, and you enjoy learning together, then I'd love to bring you in for the second part of your interview - an in person meeting! Fill out my adoption application and my people will be in touch!" Beau is almost completely house broken, but sometimes when his foster family comes home, he gets so excited that he will have an accident. His foster family is working on making their homecoming a calm event for Beau, and this has greatly improved. His foster family will be happy to give advice and go over the steps they are taking for this. Beau is 5 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is negative for heartworm. He is routinely treated with parasite preventatives. He is good with other dogs and has been very neutral to the small animals at his foster home. Beau is being fostered in Southern Lancaster County and interested adopters must come to his foster home twice. The first visit is a meet and greet with all the members of the household including existing dogs in the home. The second visit is to take him home. Go online to www.zoeshouserescue.com and complete an adoption application! We do not always receive applications submitted through adoptapet or petfinder.
