Story
Meet Loki Meet Loki – A Brave Boxer Mix Looking for Love and Guidance Loki is a young boxer mix with a heart full of love and a story of resilience. Rescued from a heartbreaking situation where another dog was starved to death, Loki arrived malnourished and scared, with a body score of just 3 out of 10. Today, thanks to proper care and nutrition, he’s a healthy weight and ready to begin the next chapter of his life with a loving family. We estimate Loki at about 2 years old. Loki is eager to please and has already mastered basic commands like “sit” and “lay down.” He’s passed his temperament test and is good with other dogs, cats, and people. However, due to his energetic nature and love of jumping, we recommend a home without small children. Loki’s Strengths: -Friendly and non-aggressive -Good with dogs, cats, and older children -Loves toys and playtime -Rides well in the car -Food-motivated and responds well to training Areas Loki Needs Help With: Loki is still learning the ropes of being a house dog. He will need: -House Training: Loki will need patience and consistency as he learns house manners. Positive reinforcement, frequent potty breaks, and a structured routine will set him up for success. -Crate Training: While Loki is currently afraid of the crate, with time and encouragement, it can become his safe place. -Leash Training: Loki is still working on walking calmly on a leash, so continued training will be key. -Building Confidence: Loki can be skittish and easily scared, crouching down when overwhelmed. He’ll need a patient owner to help him gain confidence at his own pace with positive reinforcement and treats. Ideal Home for Loki: Loki has one big request for his forever home: no small spaces or apartments. He struggles with separation anxiety and doesn’t do well in confined areas, so he needs a home where he has room to roam and a family that can give him the time and companionship he craves. A calm home with a family committed to continuing his training and helping him adjust to life as a beloved pet. A fenced yard and someone who is home often would be ideal for this sweet boy. He’s incredibly playful and loves his toys, so a family ready for fun is a must! Why Loki Deserves a Second Chance: Loki’s rough start hasn’t dampened his spirit. He’s full of love, energy, and potential, and with the right guidance, he’ll grow into a loyal, loving companion. If you’re looking for a dog to help mold into the perfect family pet, Loki is ready to join your team. Are you ready to help Loki on his journey to a brighter future? Apply today and give this courageous boy the loving home he’s been waiting for! If you would like to add Loki to your family, follow this link to apply https://airtable.com/shrAznkHf1ruIqQwq

Story
Hi, my name is Frankie but affectionally known as, Cooper! I am believed to be a boxer/mountain cur mix, and I am 9-10 months old & 33 pounds! I am looking for a home with another high energy dog to play with. An active home is also most ideal for me as I have some energy to burn. I love to play and could play all day long! When I’m not playing, I love to take a nap on top of the couch and snuggle with my human. It is recommended I have a home with older children (no littles) due to my busy nature and I am still learning proper play with humans (in other words, no nibbling allowed). It is also recommended that I have a home without cats. I’ve done very well with meeting new people, but I do like to bark if anybody walks by my house (I just want to alert everyone someone is around! ) so my own home ideally with a yard would be nice.  Or, a hiking partner would be great too. My favorite toys are from bullymake! I am house and crate trained. I would absolutely love to be the newest member of your family.  ##2118092##

Story
Gonzo is a stunning, exuberant, lively young boxer mix who is ready for a new family to call his own. Unfortunately, he is in this position due to an unforeseen health issue with his previous owner. Gonzo is extremely friendly, loving, sweet, and extroverted. He thrives around people and loves to spend quality time with his human companions. As a 1-year-old dog, he is very energetic and excitable, and has high enthusiasm when he receives attention from people or other dogs. He is still learning how to control his body and reign in his excitement and would benefit from some training as well as lots of exercise! He loves being outside, playing outside, and getting multiple walks a day. In addition, Gonzo is quite strong and still needs quite a bit of leash walk training. However, he is coachable, very attentive, and listens well. He already knows several basic commands and is very responsive to vocal cues. Gonzo loves everyone, including other dogs and is compatible with kids as well. He also previously coexisted very successfully with an adult who had special needs. Gonzo is a ball of life, joy, and excitement and he is ready to bring a lot of fun to a new lucky family. Do you think you can provide Gonzo with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org. Story
Meet Wellington! Wellington was brought to ICHS at no fault of his own. He is a very friendly boy! Wellington seems to enjoy making friends with humans and has already befriended our entire staff! When Wellington isn't making friends he loves to explore, run around the play yard, and work on his skills. He will sit nicely for a treat! Wellington's favorite toys are stuffed animals. Regarding other animals this handsome man seems to be dog-selective,and doesn't seem to like a couple of the other dogs here at the shelter, but overall friendly to most other dogs! If you are looking for a super sweet, active, and well-behaved dog consider putting in an adoption application for our boy Wellington!Weight: 59 lbsActivity level: High Primary Color: Brown Brindle Secondary Color: White Age: 1yrs 7mths 4wks

Story
Arlo was brought to the vet limping and just found by the humane society. His femur was broken, so the vet amputated his one back leg. He is great with young children (we have a 3 and 1 year old), cats, and other dogs. He is on Prozac for separation anxiety, we work 12 hour shifts and he is alone most of the days. We think he would do better with an owner that works less than we do, being gone 12 hours all week. And someone who can give him more attention and exercise!

Story
Deacon spent 6 years of his life in a shelter!! We had to give him a chance. When Deacon came out of the shelter he wasn't quite ready for the outside world. Luckily All The Way Canine Academy stepped up by taking him in to help him adjust to a life outside of the shelter. Deacon is ready to find his forever family and be given a real chance at a life he deserves. Deacon can be shy at first, understandably, but once he opens up he will happily give you butt wiggles and his paw asking for affection. Deacon is loving but doesn't need constant affection and can relax on his own. Deacon will easily relax in the home. He would do well with a crate as the crate is his safe place.
