Story
WILLIS🥹, This sweet special little guy had a horrible life prior to coming to us. He is around 4yo and loves all the affection he is now getting. He would do best as an only dog or with another chill dog his size (35lbs) , he gets scared when other dogs are in his face. He is good with kids. No cats at this time. Willis is doing great with working on basic commands, crate training, and is walking nicely on a leash with his emotional support ball😆. He loves to go on car rides for outtings. Please contact Toni at 412-651-5613 with questions and fill out an application at the link below. Adoptions to Southwestern PA only. Story
Hi! I'm Ziggy!  I'm a male Mountain Cur who is about 7 months oldwith a gorgeous brindle coloring.  I weigh approximately 30 lbs and stand about 18 inches tall. My foster mom doesn't think I'll get much bigger, except for my heart. When my foster mom was having a bad day, I cuddled her back to smiles.  I love to play with my toys but also enjoy chillin on the couch.  I'm really good about going outside to potty, and only have an accident on rare occasions. I know sit, stay, leave it and walk pretty good on a leash, but still am a little afraid of the cars going by.  I am super friendly but, I do like to herd my people. My foster mom loves me but would be really happy for me if I found my furever home so she can help more dogs find good homes. Can you resist these eyes??? ##2225625##

Story
Gonzo is a stunning, exuberant, lively young boxer mix who is ready for a new family to call his own. Unfortunately, he is in this position due to an unforeseen health issue with his previous owner. Gonzo is extremely friendly, loving, sweet, and extroverted. He thrives around people and loves to spend quality time with his human companions. As a 1-year-old dog, he is very energetic and excitable, and has high enthusiasm when he receives attention from people or other dogs. He is still learning how to control his body and reign in his excitement and would benefit from some training as well as lots of exercise! He loves being outside, playing outside, and getting multiple walks a day. In addition, Gonzo is quite strong and still needs quite a bit of leash walk training. However, he is coachable, very attentive, and listens well. He already knows several basic commands and is very responsive to vocal cues. Gonzo loves everyone, including other dogs and is compatible with kids as well. He also previously coexisted very successfully with an adult who had special needs. Gonzo is a ball of life, joy, and excitement and he is ready to bring a lot of fun to a new lucky family. Do you think you can provide Gonzo with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org. Meet Wellington! Wellington was brought to ICHS at no fault of his own. He is a very friendly boy! Wellington seems to enjoy making friends with humans and has already befriended our entire staff! When Wellington isn't making friends he loves to explore, run around the play yard, and work on his skills. He will sit nicely for a treat! Wellington's favorite toys are stuffed animals. Regarding other animals this handsome man seems to be dog-selective,and doesn't seem to like a couple of the other dogs here at the shelter, but overall friendly to most other dogs! If you are looking for a super sweet, active, and well-behaved dog consider putting in an adoption application for our boy Wellington!Weight: 59 lbsActivity level: High Primary Color: Brown Brindle Secondary Color: White Age: 1yrs 6mths 1wks

Story
Meet Martin, an adorable 7-month-old male Boxer-Shepherd mix, weighing about 40 pounds. Martin has a healthy dose of puppy energy but isn’t overly hyper. He loves going for walks and handles the leash well. This smart boy already knows some basic commands like sit, down, and come. While he can get a bit excited and jump up to greet you, his foster mom is working on curbing this behavior. His new family should be committed to continuing his training. Martin enjoys playing with other dogs and cats, as his foster home has both. He loves chewing on bones and squeaky toys, keeping himself entertained. Martin is doing great with potty training and will sit by the door to signal he needs to go out. He does experience some separation anxiety and isn’t a fan of the crate, but his foster mom is helping him with these issues. Martin loves his people so much that he gets upset when they’re out of sight. He would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to help him with his separation and crate anxiety. This sweet young pup would love to join you on walks or snuggle on the couch. Because he tends to jump when excited, he would do best in a home with older kids to prevent accidental knock-overs. Martin is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and microchipped. If you think your home would be a great fit for Martin, please fill out an application at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt. Martin will be available for adoption on or after June 16th, 2024, through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144, KL#16182. ##1945855##

Story
Deacon spent 6 years of his life in a shelter!! We had to give him a chance. When Deacon came out of the shelter he wasn't quite ready for the outside world. Luckily All The Way Canine Academy stepped up by taking him in to help him adjust to a life outside of the shelter. Deacon is ready to find his forever family and be given a real chance at a life he deserves. Deacon can be shy at first, understandably, but once he opens up he will happily give you butt wiggles and his paw asking for affection. Deacon is loving but doesn't need constant affection and can relax on his own. Deacon will easily relax in the home. He would do well with a crate as the crate is his safe place.
