Story
Gonzo is a stunning, exuberant, lively young boxer mix who is ready for a new family to call his own. Unfortunately, he is in this position due to an unforeseen health issue with his previous owner. Gonzo is extremely friendly, loving, sweet, and extroverted. He thrives around people and loves to spend quality time with his human companions. As a 1-year-old dog, he is very energetic and excitable, and has high enthusiasm when he receives attention from people or other dogs. He is still learning how to control his body and reign in his excitement and would benefit from some training as well as lots of exercise! He loves being outside, playing outside, and getting multiple walks a day. In addition, Gonzo is quite strong and still needs quite a bit of leash walk training. However, he is coachable, very attentive, and listens well. He already knows several basic commands and is very responsive to vocal cues. Gonzo loves everyone, including other dogs and is compatible with kids as well. He also previously coexisted very successfully with an adult who had special needs. Gonzo is a ball of life, joy, and excitement and he is ready to bring a lot of fun to a new lucky family. Do you think you can provide Gonzo with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org. You can also visit https://www.fourfootedfriends.org/ for more information on our organization and other pets we have available for adoption. You are also welcome to come visit any of our dogs to see if they might be the right fit! Visits are done by appointment only. Story
Meet Wellington! Wellington was brought to ICHS at no fault of his own. He is a very friendly boy! Wellington seems to enjoy making friends with humans and has already befriended our entire staff! When Wellington isn't making friends he loves to explore, run around the play yard, and work on his skills. He will sit nicely for a treat! Wellington's favorite toys are stuffed animals. Regarding other animals this handsome man seems to be dog-selective,and doesn't seem to like a couple of the other dogs here at the shelter, but overall friendly to most other dogs! If you are looking for a super sweet, active, and well-behaved dog consider putting in an adoption application for our boy Wellington!Weight: 59 lbsActivity level: High Primary Color: Brown Brindle Secondary Color: White Age: 1yrs 5mths 1wks

Story
Meet Martin, an adorable 7-month-old male Boxer-Shepherd mix, weighing about 40 pounds. Martin has a healthy dose of puppy energy but isn’t overly hyper. He loves going for walks and handles the leash well. This smart boy already knows some basic commands like sit, down, and come. While he can get a bit excited and jump up to greet you, his foster mom is working on curbing this behavior. His new family should be committed to continuing his training. Martin enjoys playing with other dogs and cats, as his foster home has both. He loves chewing on bones and squeaky toys, keeping himself entertained. Martin is doing great with potty training and will sit by the door to signal he needs to go out. He does experience some separation anxiety and isn’t a fan of the crate, but his foster mom is helping him with these issues. Martin loves his people so much that he gets upset when they’re out of sight. He would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to help him with his separation and crate anxiety. This sweet young pup would love to join you on walks or snuggle on the couch. Because he tends to jump when excited, he would do best in a home with older kids to prevent accidental knock-overs. Martin is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and microchipped. If you think your home would be a great fit for Martin, please fill out an application at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt. Martin will be available for adoption on or after June 16th, 2024, through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144, KL#16182. ##1945855##

Story
Hi I’m Latte. I’m a year old spayed Boxer mix.  I love the dogs at my foster mom’s house and we play and wrestle with each other. I can be a bit bossy with other dogs, so if you have a dog and want to adopt me, a meet and greet is a must and slow introductions at home will go a long way to making sure we can be good friends.  I am energetic and cuddly. I do need some help working on my manners because I love to jump up and look you in the face. So my foster mom thinks I would do best in a home without very small children.  But I do love kids, too! I am a Latte of fun (see what I did there?) and cuteness and will make your life a Latte better! ##1997023##

WILLIS🥹, This sweet special little guy had a horrible life prior to coming to us. He is around 4yo and loves all the affection he is now getting. He would do best as an only dog or with another chill dog his size (35lbs) , he gets scared when other dogs are in his face. He is good with kids. No cats at this time. Willis is doing great with working on basic commands, crate training, and is walking nicely on a leash with his emotional support ball😆. He loves to go on car rides for outtings. Story
Deacon spent 6 years of his life in a shelter!! We had to give him a chance. When Deacon came out of the shelter he wasn't quite ready for the outside world. Luckily All The Way Canine Academy stepped up by taking him in to help him adjust to a life outside of the shelter. Deacon is ready to find his forever family and be given a real chance at a life he deserves. Deacon can be shy at first, understandably, but once he opens up he will happily give you butt wiggles and his paw asking for affection. Deacon is loving but doesn't need constant affection and can relax on his own. Deacon will easily relax in the home. He would do well with a crate as the crate is his safe place.

Story
Camo is a sweet, gentle 11-year-old pitbull terrier mix who is looking for a good home to live out his retirement years. Since arriving to Four Footed Friends when his owner was no longer physically able to take care of him, Camo has been an extremely friendly and affectionate dog. He is a quiet guy who is easy to walk outside on a leash. He loves to be around people and gets really excited when new people come to meet him. Our staff and volunteers have seen him really enjoy his bath time and do really well with his nails being clipped. Camo loves to snuggle up on the couch and fits the demeanor and description of a great family dog. There are only a couple things Camo is not a huge fan of and that includes cats and some other dogs. Please consider giving this lovable old soul a comfortable home. If you think you can provide Camo with a forever home, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or fourfootedfriends82@gmail.com. Story
Roxy is an adorable, funny, and extremely friendly 3-year-old pitt/boxer mix who is excited to meet her new human companions! This young lady has a lot of energy and always gets really excited to go outside and release some of it. On her walks, she loves to sniff around and has the tendency to make some cute and goofy noises in the process. Roxy is very compact, strong, and built, and her excitement can get the best of her on a leash making her a little challenging to walk at the moment. However, she is very smart and trainable and would benefit from specific instruction in this regard. Roxy is a people’s dog through and through. She loves to be around people, receive and share affection, and snuggle up. It is hard not to smile when she looks up at you wagging her tail. She is a lovable girl who will always be happy to see you, comfort you, and spend quality time with you, exactly what you would want in a new best friend! Roxy has also lived swimmingly with both other dogs and kids before. Do you think you can provide Roxy with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org. Story
Skippy is a friendly, handsome, young shepherd/pittbull mix that was found as a stray before arriving at Four Footed Friends. He started out a bit timid and shy once he arrived, but has warmed up since. He is very friendly and enjoys being pet and receiving human attention when presented the opportunity. Skippy also loves to play fetch outside in the yard and get some energy out. He is a strong young boy and at the moment pulls quite a bit on the leash and would definitely benefit from some leash training. Staff at Four Footed Friends believe he would be compatible with both children and/or other dogs in a home environment. Do you think you can provide Skippy with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org.
