Woffington is extremely sweet and loving. He adores people and is good with people. Since he is very active and still very young he would be best in a home that can provide him the love and exercise he needs. Age: 1 year WT: 44lbs. Temperament: Good with older sturdy kids and with dogs. She has been in a foster with cats and is interested in them, but has never tried to hurt them Vetting: neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative. Training: House trained, crate trained. Be prepared for kisses!! Clover was found on a busy 2 lane road and most likely dumped. No one ever came looking for her. She is sweet as pie and gets along with other dogs, people and especially kids. We do not know what she thinks about cats. Clover is a tad on the submissive side but she can certainly hold her own when playing with dogs bigger than her. She apparently can scale a chain link fence so a close eye must be kept on her in the yard if you have this type of fencing. She is about 1- 2 years old and 42 pounds. Please help Clover find the loving home she deserves. Hear ye, hear ye! All hail the King of Peaceable Kingdom! We joke, because there’s nothing very regal about this boy. King is a big, silly, lummox of a dog and we love him for it! King is 1 ½ years old, weighs 73 lbs., and is half Boxer, half German Shepherd/Husky mix. King has a big bark when you meet him, but he’s 100% soft inside. He has the best wiggle-butt when he’s excited to see you! King was surrendered because his prior owners were unable to care for him. He was crated a lot in the past and didn’t get proper training as a puppy, so he’s still learning good-boy manners, like potty-training and walking on a leash. King is very talkative at the shelter, so he may benefit from a home without shared walls. King grew up around other dogs and supposedly cats, too, but we can cat test him if you have a kitty at home. King would do fine around older children, but he’s probably too big for the little ones. Adoptable Ami is ready to give you lots of hugs! This affectionate girl is around 1 ½ and weighs 53 lbs. Ami is purportedly a mix of Boxer, German Shepherd, and Husky, though we’d swear she’s got some hound in her! Ami was surrendered because her prior owners were unable to care for her. She didn’t get proper training as a puppy so she’s still learning where to go potty and how to walk well on a leash. Ami is chatty, so she might do best in a home without shared walls. She grew up around other dogs and supposedly cats, too, but we can kitty test her if you have any feline friends at home. We think Ami would be okay with older kids, too. Ami is nervous around strangers and will need a confident, assertive owner who will establish rules and create an environment where Ami feels safe and secure. Hero came to PCHS as a local stray unclaimed. He was traveling with another dog, that was hit and killed by a car. Hero is a very active dog, adjusting well to having daily care and TLC. He is housebroken, but will need additional leash walking training. Hero is food motivated. He would benefit with an active home and lifestyle with reassurance. Hero loves to splash around in water! If you have another dog, meet and greet is required. We believe Hero will be a loyal companion.
