This sweet guy came to Animal Humane New Mexico from Ruidoso after the devastating floods this summer, and in that time he's shown what a well-mannered gem he is. He's gotten to spend time as an office dog buddy and in a home environment, getting some breaks from the shelter. Here are his specialties: Knows SIT! Can SHAKE with both paws! WALKS great on leash! Couch POTATO! Plays FETCH and brings the ball back! PLAYFUL but not rowdy! Understands "go lay down"! Takes treats very GENTLY! Has shown himself to be TIDY and house trained (though every pup needs a little grace adjusting to a new home at first)! Enjoys RIDING in cars! Has done well with DOGS! (Tom is a little too interested in cats, so a feline-free home is best.) Tom Hardy is also a PAWS dog, which means he comes with 1 year of FREE vet care. This sweet boy has so much affection to give and is just waiting for the perfect family to call his own. Will you please give this handsome guy a forever home for the holidays? They prefer you tug on a toy so I promise to work on that. I can be a little picky about the canine buddies that I prefer. If you have a current pup at home, bring them with you when you come to meet me. I'd have to give them the seal of approval. I also need a secure yard with a tall fence. Need to have enough attention at home to keep me from investigating other places. A team member adds, "Littles is the sweetest young mama dog. As you can tell by the huge grin on my face, I'm a happy girl that loves life and people. I'm not really motivated by treats but love when you praise me when I've done something good! I'm a stout girl and can be strong but I'm actually quite manageable on a leash and listen quite well. I'm interested in other dogs and have played well with them. If you have dogs at home, I'd love to meet them to see how we get along. I'm also quite affectionate and love to give you hugs and kisses, so get ready! I’m a middle-aged guy who would love a silly Billy forever home. I’m a happy, handsome guy- Just look at my smile in my photo and you’ll know exactly what you're getting. A team member says, "Billy loves spending time near his human friends. That big ol' noggin of his is made for being in someone's lap, just snuggling and chilling. This silly boy thinks he's a lap dog, and he would love nothing more than a home where he can stick by you and be your BFF." I was so happy to spend a little time outside of the shelter and my foster family reported that I am housebroken and love to sun myself outside. I am good on leash and love walks, and also enjoy a good game of fetch. They also called me curious and a cuddle bug, and say that I love belly rubs and bones. They loved how relaxed and laidback I was. Do I sound like the perfect dog for you? I hope so!
