Story
Say hello to Finn, a Boxer/Pit mix born approximately August 2020, who is looking for a new place to call home.  He is good with people and other dogs and has a face you just can't say no to!  Finn is settling in to his new foster home and meeting his foster family.  We will share updates as we learn more about his personality and furever needs! The suggested adoption donation for Finn is $350. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2021 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $307,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. If the dog or cat you adopt is older than 6 months of age and not spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to alter the pet at Val Verde Animal Hospital in Omaha, at no cost to you.  Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $80 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost.  If the dog or cat is younger than 6 months of age, adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice.  If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $80 for dogs and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses.  All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed of neutered by 6 months of age.  All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized.  Thank you in advance for your compliance. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Diesel (10/30/2018) a Boxer/Corgi mix.  Diesel has a heart as big as his paws.  He loves to lounge in the sun while watching the bunnies and birds.  He thinks he is part of the neighborhood watch monitoring everything going on.  He loves to run around the backyard.  He would be best as the only dog in the home.  He loves to be a part of the family and is amazing with kids.  In his spare time, he will steal your water bottle, go on walks, napping, snoring and playing with his squeaker toys.  Diesel is laid-back and will lay all over your bed, and get all the cuddles.  Can you provide Diesel with his furever home and lots of belly rubs? The suggested adoption donation for Diesel is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Story
Huckleberry ("Huck") is a 3 year old Boxer/Pitbull mix who is looking for a calm and loving forever home... with a very tall fence. Huck may be a mixed breed, but he's a purebred athlete. This boy can scale at 4 foot fence, so he'll need a home with a 6 foot privacy fence. When he isn't showing off his impressive vertical jump, he likes going for walks and spending time with his people. Although he loves his people, he doesn't have any interest in furfriends as other dogs tend to stress him out. Huck is looking for a quiet neighborhood and an owner who is committed to working on his reactivity to other dogs. With a little training, this prince could be the perfect companion for you! The suggested adoption donation for Huck is $350, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavi/oral problems (not obedience training). In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $390,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Before applying to adopt Huck, you need to be familiar with your local breed-specific legislation regarding Pit Bulls.  Adoptions for Huck are limited to the area within 50 miles of Omaha so that he can continue to take advantage of free training from our certified positive reinforcement trainers. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Story
Here comes Freya, an adult Boxer/Catahoula mix, born July 2020.  She's ready for her second chance and a new place! Freya is an energetic and sweet girl.  She is housebroken, crate trained and leash trained.  She gets along with adults and new people.  She loves being active and needs a fenced yard so she can run.  She responds well to regular walks and runs on a daily basis.  Freya knows how to fetch and she knows some commands. Freya enjoys dining alone and will need her own personal space away from others at meal time.  She doesn't like to be bothered while she's eating!  The perfect family will understand that Freya still needs some training and they will be able to give her frequent exercise.  Because Freya is so energetic and doesn't know her own strength, she would not do well aorund small children - she might be okay around older kids (age 13+). The suggested adoption donation for Freya is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. Unfortunately we are needing to rehome him due to not getting along with our other dog. He would do best in a home with no other pets and adults. General is getting neutered on 1/21/2025.

Story
Topaz is a handsome, young Scott American Bulldog, born 3/27/2021. He is a super snuggly, very smart boy who knows basic commands (sit/stay/down/shake/kennel) and is looking for a home that can help boost his confidence and provide him with consistency and love so that his goofy, fun-lovin' personality can shine. Topaz prefers adult conversation and company. He's totally down for chill, adult-only dinner parties on the patio and will settle right in for an evening of fireside chats. Topaz chuckles and rolls his eyes when you ask about his potty behavior, "Are you kidding me? Of course I'm housetrained... who would do that inside." This smart boy is crate trained, 5 stars on a leash (enjoys walks), and so eager to please. He loves car rides, the open road, and you by his side. Topaz, as your forever buddy, will snuggle up in bed and is always up for a night of Netflix and popcorn after a busy day. Due to some experiences he had as a young pup, Topaz will require more than one meeting because he can be slow to trust new people. However, once you've made it into his circle of trust, he's all yours with lots of love to give! Apply today to meet Topaz and see if you're his match!  The suggested adoption fee for Topaz is $365. Bullies-N-Beyond ResQ is a non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR are adopted with DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already spayed or neutered if old enough, or a voucher will be provided once the dog becomes of age. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis. All available dogs are adopted based on their needs to provide the best fit home. ##1632418##
