Story
Rajah came to us in 2017 after being rescued from an abusive situation resulting in him losing his back right leg, but he doesn't let it slow him down. He is now approximately 9 years old. He is still full of energy but can also be a cuddly lump. He is an incredible companion dog, supportive, loyal, and very in tune with his owners emotions and needs. He is protective but not overly. He has a goofy sensibility about him and loves playing with his Kong toys. He's happy playing independently but would love you to join in some fetch or tug of war. Beware though, he is a toy destroyer. Plushies not recommended. Rajah is housebroken and kennel trained. He's generally quiet in his kennel. We do recommend kenneling him because he will get into things resulting in hurting himself. He WILL eat socks, whole requiring emergency surgery, Rajah is not recommend with other dogs or cats. VERY important he is an only pet. He's never been around children but generally doesn't acknowledge our infant.

Maya is a sweet and affectionate pup born on November 17, 2022. She’s wonderful with people, including children, and gets along well with other dogs. We’re not sure how she does with cats just yet. Maya is a smart and well-trained dog who responds to a variety of commands, including: Yes, No, Let’s go, Paw, Good girl, Come here, Go to your bed, Up, Down, Go, Food, and Water.  A true food lover, Maya will eat just about anything, though it’s best to avoid foods with chicken hide as they don’t agree with her tummy. She’s allowed on the bed and sofa and loves to cuddle up next to you for some cozy relaxation. Maya’s activity level is about 3.5 out of 5—she enjoys a good balance of play and rest. Her favorite pastimes include sleeping, eating, going for walks, staring out of the window, bird-watching, playing with her ball, chewing on hard toys, and (silly as it sounds) trying to sneak a bit of cotton when she can. While Maya doesn’t have any special medical needs, she does crave a bit of human touch before bedtime—just 5-10 minutes of cuddles make her feel safe and loved, like the sweet baby she is. Huckleberry ("Huck") is a happy Boxer/Pitbull mix, born May 2021.  He's doing well at his foster home.  He's such a loving and gentle dog.  Huckleberry spends his time lounging, exploring the home and asking for repeated hugs during each day.  He understands a few commands: sit, lay down, bone and outside.  Huck is an inside dog - he goes out, does his business and comes back to the door after occasional zoomies in which he does laps around the yard in excitement!  He is fully house trained.  He has been left at the house alone several times and is always a good boy.  He didn't touch a thing or get into any trouble! At Huck's foster home, there are numerous contractors in the home for long periods.  He greeted each one and was not bothered by their presence.  He is a very good guard dog and will let you know when there is someone new.  Huckleberry is a lover and enjoys people.  He is very calm and greets his foster parents at the door when coming home.  He is truly the perfect dog and needs a home of his own! Huckleberry needs a fenced yard with a tall fence.  This boy can scale at 4 foot fence, so he'll need a home with a 6 foot privacy fence.  When he isn't showing off his impressive vertical jump, he likes going for walks with his people.  Other dogs tend to stress him out, so he needs to be the only pet in the home.  In the past, Huck has struggled with reactivity to other dogs, so he needs someone who is committed to working on this with him.  With a little training, this prince could be the perfect companion for you! The suggested adoption donation for Huck is $350, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavi/oral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Sayzo was born in December 24 2023. She is very playful and loving and loves to cuddle. She is great with other dogs and amazing with kids! Sayzo is micro-chipped, spayed, and up to date with all of her shots. She knows basic commands and is also potty trained. She does have allergies and and her diet consists of white fish dog food. She takes apoquel once a day everyday to help with the allergies, it is about $90 a month.

Clove is almost 3 years old. She was rescued in North Carolina from an apartment complex with her other siblings. She is very sweet and cuddly and simply wants to give everyone kisses all the time. She currently lives with my 2 other dogs and gets along pretty well but has moments of aggression with them. I do believe she would benefit in a single dog home. She loves our cat though and constantly wants to cuddle him on the couch. She is well trained and loves learning new tricks. She loves her chews and playing fetch outside, those are her 2 favorite activities. She has no aggression towards humans and no food/treat aggression as well. We simply never planned on having this many dogs and my other 2 are older in years and want a slower life than what Clove needs. She truly is an amazing dog though and deserves a great home!

Elsa is approximately 2-3 years old and about 50 pounds. She is deaf but that doesn’t stop her from playing with other dogs and learning commands through sign language. She is very treat motivated and loves to be around people so training comes easy for her. Her food motivation has made her a little protective during feeding time and will need to eat and enjoy bones separate from other animals. She has really enjoyed playing with her foster brothers and has learned a lot from them so having a fur sibling would be good for her, but not required. She likes to chase cats so a home with no feline friends would be best for her. Elsa is very social and has been known to jump a fence to say hi to her neighbors so she will need to be supervised when outside. This sweet girl loves unconditionally and with all of her heart; if you can provide a safe, deaf-friendly home for her please fill out an application today!
