Story
One-eyed Eleanor, the most DARLING of doggies in all honesty, and the best personality you could ever hope for! With a face like hers, she simply MELTS hearts at first sight, falling in love with her is one thing NO ONE can resist. Eleanor is a lover of all things-people, from the attention, to the affection; she is all in; a queen of belly rubs, if I do say so! She is also a fan of all things-dog; from romping and rolling with other dogs of ALL sizes, to getting cuddled up close to anyone willing to sunbathe with her; she is the playgroup momma! At about 3.5 years old, and weighing in around 60 pounds, she is the ideal size for a canine companion, too! Without even mentioning the fact that she has spent most of her life in a home, learning all there is to being the perfect family girl! From house-training, crate-training, to manners, and basic commands, she's got it ALL. Personally, I can't get enough of her and her wiggly butt with her tiny tail, and I know for a fact you won't be able to, either! Sweet Eleanor just loves everything and everyone, without a single bit of doubt in her mind, and we know she deserves the very same! If you enjoy brisk walks, or visits to the dog park, and then resting on the sofa; or in the sun, Eleanor will make the perfect match! In fact, she will do splendidly in most loving homes!

Story
Tucker, Tucker, Tucker, the sweetest boy, with the happiest of smiles, and most rewarding of tail wags & kisses. This handsome guy came out of one of the worst neglect cases we've ever seen, and he is bouncing back like we've never seen before! Tucker is believed to be around 6 years old, and he currently weighs around 50 pounds or so. Every single OZ is made of love, without a singular doubt. Tucker is believed to be house-broken, since he keeps his kennel squeaky clean, his bed and all! Honestly, I think Tucker will do amazingly in most homes, preferably without smaller children currently, despite doing great with them in the past, simply due to having such massive changes in his life. However, he does amazingly with other dogs, and hasn't yet been cat-tested, but we believe he will ace that test, too! Tucker adores human love, attention, affection, you name it; he will be right there with his head on your lap with a wiggly butt!

Story
Hi, I'm Zoey! Not to toot my own horn but I am literally the sweetest 6 year old Boxer/Terrier mix you will ever meet. A few months ago, I got lost with my sister and someone found us running by a highway. They picked us up and took us to a local shelter where no one came to claim us. I was a staff favorite at the shelter but that setting was not good for me. That's why some really nice people came and took me to a foster home instead. I really love living in a home with people who show me love and kindness. My foster family says I'm special because of my resilience. You see, I am a shy girl that does the best with other dogs. They bring out my true self. Watching me open up and blossom in such a short time has filled their hearts with love. I've gone from a shy girl to a playful and affectionate companion, and I'm ready to bring joy to my forever family.. One of the cutest things about me is how I tilt my head when I'm curious-it always makes my foster family smile. And guess what? I love having my nails painted! It's like a little spa day just for me. Speaking of activities, I have a few favorites. I absolutely love playing ball-throw it, and I'll chase it for hours. Going on walks is another favorite; there's so much to see and sniff! When I'm not playing or walking, you can find me sunbathing, soaking up the warmth and relaxing. To help me continue to thrive, I need a home with another confident dog who can show me the ropes. Having a furry friend around helps me feel more confident and comfortable. Patience is key, too. I need a bit of time to fully open up and show you all the love I have to give. I get along well with other dogs, though I'm not sure about cats yet. When meeting new people, I can be a bit shy, but if you give me the space to get comfortable and do my own thing, I'll warm up in no time. I've never shown any aggression-just a little patience and kindness is all I need. With people I know, I'm a total "wiggle butt"! I get so excited and happy to see my favorite humans. I love kisses, belly rubs, and lots of attention. My foster family calls me their little speckled cow because of the black dots on my belly and the trail of water I leave after drinking water-it's my special quirk! The ideal home for me is one with an active family who has at least one other confident dog and loves to throw the ball for me. I also enjoy my spa days, especially when I'm pampered with a bath, some coconut oil on my belly and ears, and a manicure. If you're looking for a smart, loving, and playful companion, I'm your girl. I promise to shower you with love and bring endless joy to your life. I can't wait to find a forever family that will spoil me and shower me with the love I deserve. Zoey is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, microchipped and spayed. She would do best in a home with a physically fenced yard so he can run and play safely. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Atlas is ready to be the king of your world! This handsome bridle boy is happiest when he's running and playing fetch.  Atlas is well trained and knows how to sit, shake, stay, lay down, wait, come, leave it and get up. Atlas is also muzzle trained, he prefers to wear this when meeting strangers or doing scary things like visiting the vet's office.  Atlas would thrive in an active home with adults only who are dog savvy and maintain a relatively quiet home life. We don't know all of his background, but we know that strangers in the home are scary to Atlas and he isn't sure if he's supposed to protect you from them or not!  Atlas loves to play, so another playful dog in the home would make for a perfect match! Atlas is kennel and potty trained, and also loves to give kisses. A 4-6 foot high fenced in yard would be a dream come true for ol' Atlas, here he could run and play to his hearts content and maybe learn some more impressive commands with a little help from his new family. If you are interested in learning more about Atlas please complete an adoption application for consideration at www.AdoptHope.org.  The adoption fee for Atlas is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives as well as a FREE obedience class through Cedar Run in Hiawatha.  Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a vet check and home visit.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 16, 2024, 12:52 pm
