Hi there, I'm Precious. They say that I am called this because I am the most precious dog here at God's Dogs Rescue. I came to the rescue in October of 2022 to have a safe place for me to have and raise my puppies. All my puppies were adopted by the end of January 2023, but I am still here looking for my furever home. I am a bigger girl, but this just means there is more of me to cuddle you, because I love cuddling it's one of my top 3 favorite things. 1) Food- I love food and will do almost anything you ask if you have a treat involved. 2) Cuddles- on your lap, on the couch, in the bed wherever there is a comfy space with pillows or a human I want to be there. 3) Kisses- I have a love of giving kisses to people, especially kids. Although not everyone likes it when I try to kiss them and that makes me sad. 4) Honorable mention- I like going on walks or in the car for a ride, although I prefer just lazing around at home. My current fosters say that I am a "house hippo with springs in my feet whatever that means; I just know sometimes, when I get super happy, I feel like I could fly- or jump really high. I love their kids and am very good with them even the tiny ones. I get along with most other dogs I meet, although I have a big personality about me, because I'm a boss, so sometimes other dogs don't like that about me. I tolerate cats although if they give me too much attitude or growl at me, I can't help but to give them piece of my mind. I like most new people I meet although I had a rough start in life so sometimes, I can be a little wary with men, with time though I adjust, and we can become best friends forever. A few more little details about me: I am 3 years old I am a Boxer/Shepherd mix I am great with kids I am good with Cats and Dogs I am crate-trained I am housebroken I can be adopted in Texas or anywhere in the US too! Hey! I'm Brody. I'm a 1 year old Boxer/Staffordshire Terrier mix. I was found wandering a neighborhood and a nice family picked me up and took me in. I'm being fostered by them now and they say I'm a great boy! I get along well with dogs, cats, and kids. I'm a friendly, social, and loving boy. I'm ready to find my forever home. Is that with you? If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2161902##
