Meet Cooper aka Toot Toot aka Toot Bagoot aka Tooter Cooper was basically born and raised in the shelter system so everything is new to him, he's still learning what stairs are and what the big moving screen that talks to him is. He also loves to look at the handsome dog in the mirror. Tooter has nothing but love to give. The best way to describe Toot toot is a bull in a China shop. Your personal space is his personal space. Your spot on the couch is his spot on the couch. Fancy decorations? Oh you mean those things in his way! Toot is completely potty trained and listens very well! He knows sit, and down and is good in a kennel. Cooper's FAVORITE thing is soft stuffed toys and will definitely make your home look like a winter wonderland with stuffing. He is still learning about those small stick things attached to human arms and that those are in fact part of the human and not part of the treat or toy, but Cooper is a smart boy! Toot has never met a stranger with 2 legs or 4 legs, but since Cooper is a puppy in an adult dogs body, people his size may not be the best choice for him. Cooper has a heart of gold and just wants to please people and give you all the kisses (and maybe nibble on your toes a little). This is sweet Eva! She is very friendly, loving, and enjoys being around people. Eva LOVES playing with other dogs, too. She is very food motivated. Eva recently gave birth to her very own litter of boxer babies! They have all been adopted and now it is Eva's turn! Hello, I'm Sissie. I've been passed around a bit and unfortunetly this isn't my first time here at PCHS. I was adopted when I was a young pup but somehow ended up on the streets with no place to call home. I'm shy to new people but warm up with some treats. Once we're friends, I'm the sweetest girl. Can you be my patient friend? Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##659584##

Stu, Lou, and Sue! We were found dumped in a ditch, but luckily some caring people stepped up and got us to PCHS so we can find our furever homes. We're in a foster home right now and look to be maybe boxer/Black Mouth Cur mixes. This adorable guy is full of spunk! He's a typical puppy with lots of curiosity. He loves to snuggle and fall asleep in his foster's arms.Little foot is five weeks old, he was found dumped with his mom and siblings.
