Miss Gordita is the sweetest little pit bull/boxer mix that you will meet! She is very loving and playful and always wants to be the center of attention! She loves to spend time outside, sniffing in the yard and would love to go to a home with a fenced in backyard. She knows her basic commands, and is very food motivated so she is very trainable. She definitely has us trained as well though, as she puts on the best puppy dog face! Gordita has shown some dog reactivity, but has been getting better on walks here at the shelter. Because of this, we think Gordita would do best as the only pet in the home. She is a very devoted girl and has been patiently waiting here at the shelter for the right person to come along! During her stay at the shelter, staff noticed that Gordita had some on and off GI upset and Gordita did end up going to the vet for surgery. Veterinarians said that Gordita has some tummy problems that are likely genetic, so now Gordita is on special food and it seems to be helping. Despite her challenges, Gordita is a playful girl and is still waiting for her forever home! She has been in the shelter for over a year now and she is patiently waiting for the right person to come along!Gordita is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $400 which helps replenish our Hope Fund for animals that have needed a bit more medical care while being here at the shelter.
