Story
Meet Bronx — a sweet, loyal dog looking for a calm, loving home. Rescued 9 months ago, he likely experienced past trauma, leading to high anxiety and strong protectiveness of his people. While he's made progress with training, Bronx needs more than we can provide. He thrives in quiet, low-traffic environments with a fenced yard, no other pets, and adults or older, calm teens. He's affectionate, non-destructive when alone, and loves his people deeply. Unfortunately, our busy home near a greenbelt and active social life are too much for him. This heartbreaking decision comes from love and the hope of finding him a peaceful, structured home with someone experienced in reactive dogs. Bronx is a truly special companion who deserves the right setting to shine.

Story
The lovely Reggie, who is also called Sir Reginald and Little Gentleman, is an extreme cuddle bug, wanting to share your space wherever you are. He loves to curl up next to you on the couch or in bed, and yes, he will really want to share your bed with you. Once he bonds with you, he will follow you around, and he’s a dear to have. He truly wants to be a most loved dog, full of love and devotion to a person or family that is willing to shower those things on him; he desperately wants to belong to someone. Reggie is wickedly smart. He would do well in agility or skill-based training. He is quick to understand new commands and would do well with someone willing to spend the time increasing his abilities. His absolutely favorite activity is to play fetch. His tongue will be lolling out and he will still want to play fetch. He will fetch sticks, balls, if it can fit in his mouth and you can throw it, he’ll retrieve it. This boy is extremely skittish with strangers, especially men, tending to bark and growl or submission pee. He is fearful of toddlers and young kids, say 6 and under. Reggie likes other dogs yet once comfortable with those in the home he can get quite pushy. He plays well with other familiar dogs outside of the home. He plays well with unfamiliar dogs at the dog park. On leash he tends to “lunge” to say “hi” although his foster family has been working on it. Reggie is not aggressive as a first response with other dogs. However, if another dog responds aggressively, Reggie is quick to respond which has gotten him wounded in the past. He currently spends time with 3 other big dogs and regularly visits small dogs with little issues. Reggie is curious of cats and generally knows not to chase them. He hasn’t been around other animals besides cats and dogs. Reggie generally knows the rules but likes to push the boundaries occasionally. He has been trained to not counter surf, but still does occasionally particularly when there’s change in the house. He knows these verbal cues: heel, sit, stay, leave it, crate/kennel, shake and lie down. He is leash trained. He tends to rush up to people when off leash and forget all about coming when called, so he is predominately on on-leash boy. While his foster parents have been working to acclimatize Reggie to busier places than the trails they walk regularly, he remains exceedingly overwhelmed and fearful in new environments, particularly in indoor spaces. They have tried the farmers market, local outdoor events, and Lowe’s and he consistently has his tail between his legs. He responds much better if he can go with a familiar doggo friend. Reggie has recently begun to show some signs of resource guarding around toys that will need to be managed. He is rather vocal, barking at people across the street, visitors and neighbors. A home that is set at least a little ways back from the street would be advantageous and he needs a yard that doesn’t have the fence all the way to the road. He communicates by whining when he wants attention, a toy, or to go outside. His foster parents have been trying to teach their dogs to “sing”, so he howls when he hears sirens, though it is uncertain if he will do it without his buddies. Once Reggie gets established in his home, he isn’t prone to running, preferring to remain close to his friends. When Reggie is stressed, the first thing to go is housetraining. He does know to go outside but seems to forget when stressed. Reggie had a rough start in life and ended up in a shelter in Hurricane, Utah where he was on the euthanize list because he was doing poorly there. Reggie has been in a wonderful foster home for the past 18 months, but it is time for him to move on and have a family of his own, one with a good amount of experience and patience. Reggie is probably a bulldog or boxer mixed with Australian shepherd or Australian cattle dog. He is neutered and guessed to be 2.5-3 years old. He weighs approximately 50lbs. Reggie is being fostered near Salt Lake City. If you're interested in Reggie, please fill out a pre-adoption application on https://linktr.ee/northernstardogrescue You can see his Facebook bio and photos here and you don't need an account to do so: https://www.facebook.com/share/fdtkYc13iSNfMNGV/

Story
Say hello to Bella, the charming and spirited pup who’s ready to steal your heart! Bella is all about playtime, especially with her fellow rescue pals—she could spend hours frolicking in the yard! While it may take her a little time to warm up, once Bella trusts you, she’ll shower you with endless affection and loyalty. Bella thrives on slow introductions with well-balanced dogs, making her an ideal companion for other furry friends that match her energy. She’s crate-trained and settles in easily, though her playful nature means doggy beds don’t stand a chance—they quickly become her favorite toys! Highly motivated by treats, Bella is eager to learn and responds well to training. She walks well on a leash but can get easily distracted, so a gentle leader might help her focus during outings. Though Bella prefers the comforts of home, she’ll need a little encouragement to embrace the joys of a walk. She can feel anxious around other dogs on her adventures, sometimes expressing her excitement a bit loudly. But remember, every rescue has their quirks, and Bella’s incredible qualities far outweigh any challenges! Bella is ready to find her forever home with a family that understands and loves her just as she is. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who will fill your days with joy, Bella is the perfect match! To add Bella to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. She is wagging her tail and wiggling her butt at just the thought of finding her forever home and her story is just beginning. Her next chapter could be with you! Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2149754##

Story
The Best 8-Year-Old “Puppy” Around! Looking for a dog who’s got just the right mix of wisdom and zoomies? Meet Gunner! At 8 years old, he’s got life figured out—except for why squirrels won’t be his friends. Why He’s Awesome: Knows important commands like “sit” and “go lie down” (though he sometimes pretends not to hear after “no more treats”). Crate trained—his “man cave” is his happy place. Leash trained, but if another dog walks by… let’s just say he gets very enthusiastic about making new friends. Neutered and fully vaccinated—basically, a low-maintenance best friend. He’s sweet, playful, and great with people of all ages. If you’re looking for a dog that’s past the puppy chaos but still ready for adventures (or couch naps), Gunner is your guy!  We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest & East Coast allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier. Our application review takes about 10 days.  This adoption process will require 3 videos of (outside of your home, backyard, and inside of your home) since we are not able to conduct home checks at this time. We will be calling 2 references (Not related to you please). We will be contacting your veterinarian (We work with 1st time owners) to make sure you have vaccinated all your pets yearly, and that all have been spayed/neutered. Our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for the Pacific Northwest & East Coast. We will book your baby as soon as adoption & transport fees have been received.  If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then go to https://www.petstablished.com/organization/920716    ##2351783##

Story
** Calling All Military Veteran's ** Blu's owner passed away suddenly, and he had no one else to care for him, which is why he ended up at the shelter and due to space, he found himself on the euth list. Blu's owner was a Military Veteran, and we feel we owe it to his owner to find Blu a loving home to honor his service to Blu and our country. Blu is a gorgeous blue pittie with the cutest ears! It’s so easy for blue/gray pitties to get lost in the mix, but we can’t let that happen to this guy. He is very friendly, bouncy, energetic! He would likely benefit from some basic training. Blu got a little over stimulated around the other dogs. So he would likely do best as an only dog at this time. Please remember that dogs should NOT be integrated in the home immediately and should be integrated slowly over the course of weeks or months, not days or hours. We are looking for a home with kids over 10yrs old or an adult only home. Reach out to us with any questions 208-509-7245 Nationwide Transport Available

Story
Que truly has potential to be a loyal, loving companion. He gets so happy to see his person and will happily roll over for belly rubs! When he’s with his person, he confidently greets new people and listens very well. He is on the calmer side and pretty quiet. It was heartbreaking when he came into the shelter he was scared and unsure of people he didn't know. Since being with his foster, he has blossomed and shown how sweet and loving he can actually be. This boy will make a great travel or walking partner. Que would thrive best in an adult only home or one with older kids, He is neutered, vaccines up to date, microchipped & crate trained.
