Apollo is a handsome brindle boxador mix. Also available is his sister, Luna. He is fun loving and active. He is about 90 lbs and his sister is about 80 lbs. Luna is Apollo's lovable, and calm sister. They turned three on September 17, 2024. They love to run around and play tag. He is gentle with my senior dog. He loves walks and walks well on a leash. He is also crate trained. If you're looking for large dogs with a lot of love, they have a lot of love to give.

Carrie is approx. 2 years old and 40 pounds. Kelly came from a rural NC shelter when she was just 3 months old. She has now been in rescue for almost 2 years. She is still very skittish and Leary of people. Therefore, she will need a very patient adopter. Carrie is also available to be fostered. Carrie is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. Please keep in mind that our dogs are shelter dogs. We have little if any information about their prior history. We can only tell you what we have witnessed since coming in to the rescue. She was completely emaciated and she was taken in by a very kind foster mom! She steadily gained weight and blossomed into a healthier, much happier dog. She's here at the shelter and her sweet, loving personality continues to grow everyday! She loves a good car ride to see all of the beautiful scenery! She is amazing with cats and can be selective with dogs. She would do best in a home as an only dog due to her being protective of her favorite humans. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Bear is about 3 years old. He was adopted as a puppy at 12 weeks old from another rescue. He grew up in same home as an inside dog. Then a family member moved in with the family who was afraid of dogs. So bear was owner Surrendered to a kill shelter . Days away from euthanasia we took him in and he was safe. As we always do scared him for a chip and found he had one😔 I contacted the previous owner and wanted to know if he knew Bear was in the shelter. Sad part was he put him there 😩. This boy is the sweetest precious baby ever. He is house trained doggie door trained and even recliner trained. Bear deserves a human and home that won’t fail him again. *pocket bully* Joli has been through more in her three short years than most dogs ever should. Rescued from an animal cruelty case, Joli spent her life outdoors in separate kennels with other dogs. When her owner went to prison, her care fell into the wrong hands, and the conditions quickly became unbearable. Thankfully, Joli and her companions were confiscated by authorities, and now she has a chance to find the life she deserves. Despite her past, Joli has embraced the comforts of indoor life and still enjoys a fenced in area-- and is shy, but enjoys attention. She is approximately three years old, spayed, and fully up-to-date on vaccines and flea prevention. Sadly, due to her previous neglect, she has heartworms. Heartworms is an easily treatable condition with a couple of rounds of injections and would be her only remaining vet care for now aside from future annual visits.
