Urgent Rehoming Needed! We need to find a new home for our 5-year-old Boxer/English Bulldog mix. He is a loving, energetic, and playful dog who enjoys walks and playtime. He is 100% housebroken, does not damage furniture, and behaves well indoors. A few years ago, he was professionally boarded and trained, but he came back resource guarding over toys afterward. We have managed this by never giving him any toys, which has been effective in avoiding any aggressive behavior. He thrives in a home where this approach is understood. TomKat is a boxer mix that lived happily with my grandmother until her passing in early 2024. When we brought TomKat to Atlanta he was 110lbs and the adjustment from country to city life was hard on him. He is now an amazing 60lbs and well-managed on Fluoxetine for anxiety. At around 9 years old, TomKat is a mellow soul with a heart full of love and a goofy personality that shines once he feels safe and settled. He is fully potty trained, leash trained, and enjoys walks and relaxing by your side. TomKat can be cautious with new people or new surroundings at first, but once he warms up, he is incredibly affectionate, loyal, and loving. He is UTD on all vaccinations and takes monthly heartworm and flee/tick prevention. He gets along well with larger dogs and is regularly socialized with dogs of all sizes when boarded. However, he does not do well with dominant smaller dogs in his home. A home with calm or submissive dogs, or where he can be the only pet, would likely be the best fit.
