Story
Hi my name is Bonita! Bonita means `pretty`! I was the only girl in a litter of five so I have learned how to play hard, but I can definitely hold my own. My favorite toy is a squeaky ball that I love to chase. I also love being outside even though at first I was a little leary of all the new sounds. I can run the fastest of my siblings and sometimes I trip and tumble over but it`s so much fun. I hardly ever bark and am very calm when it`s time to settle down for my nap. I am learning to `sit`, potty and leash walking. I am happy curled up in my comfy bed or in your lap giving you kisses. My foster mother says that I am a beautiful little girl with a very sweet disposition.

Story
Jackson is a handsome 7-year-old boy and weighs 80-ish lbs. Because he is a larger love bug who doesn't know his size, he would do best in a home with teenage children. Although Jackson is deaf, he is VERY trainable and has responded well to learning hand signals with his foster mom. He has laser focus whenever his toys or treats are involved. He is very snuggly-and likes to think he's a lap dog, despite his size! Jackson is potty trained, neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that all of your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter, and are a foster-home based organization. Other than meeting our babies at events, we do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a homecheck prior to adoption.

Story
What's not to love about me? I'm a cute, petite, super snuggler and I heard a guy named Rick wrote a song about me!!! I'm Jessie Girl. They say I'm a boxer mix, but I'm not even 40 pounds. Fommy thinks I might have some Boston terrier in me, which would explain a few things. I love the other dogs in my foster home, but I would not be good on a farm. Little critters trigger my "chase" drive, so please do not bring cats or rabbits.   I'm a super snuggler who loves to be under the covers - and that's any covers; I'm not picky, but I especially love to be under yours so I can be all warm and cozy. I'm house-trained and crate-trained, but I don't walk nicely on a leash. However, with lots of patience and training, you can teach me. You see, I'm pretty unruly on walks and even scream when overexcited, so teaching me how to redirect and refocus would be our number one priority. But a home with a nice, secure, tall fence will be great. That way, I won't get the leash crazies. I'm just a simple family girl out here looking for her forever life. If that might be you, let's meet to see!       For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.   http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms   Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.   Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Hi! My name is Norbert, but my foster mom calls me Bert. I am a Boxer/Shepherd mix (we think), and I'm about 5 months old, and (right now) I weigh about 30 pounds but have some growing to do. I am also great with kids, dogs, and cats! My only "less than perfect" trait is - I bark for a while until I settle down in my crate. I don't like being alone. So, I would be great with someone who is home a lot but not an apartment or shared wall townhome for me.  My foster family says I am a GREAT puppy. They take me to baseball and softball games, and I am the best boy—so well-behaved! I am also playful, very smart, and learning all sorts of commands, like sit, down, and come. I enjoy my toys and love being outside, but my favorite thing is to cuddle up in your lap. Do you need a buddy to take you to the park, to help you find sticks, cuddle on the couch, or lay or play at your feet while you work? If so, I am your guy and can’t wait to meet you! Here is link to all of my new photos: https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjC8LQu Complete an adoption application at the website below and meet me! Story
Meet Professor X – The Scholar of Snuggles and Sidekicks! Don’t let the name intimidate you—Professor X isn’t here to lecture, he’s here to love! He might not have mutant powers (that we know of), but his superpower is connection—he reads the room like a true empath and always knows when it’s time to romp, relax, or rest his head in your lap.Unfortunately, Professor X came to the Forsyth County Pet Resource Center heartworm positive, but the good news is that the we will provide the necessary treatment for him with no additional cost to you! While Professor X is undergoing heartworm treatment he will be placed in our Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) program so that you can start bonding with your new pet and give them a calm place to get better! Heartworm treatment is very safe, and the success rate is high, and the Pet Resource Center prefers for dogs like Professor X to recover in a home with an adopter rather than in a shelter.Adopt this lovable genius and watch your world get a little brighter, a lot more fun, and filled with tail wags.
