Story
Barney is a male, 4 year old Boxer mix, and is such a friendly boy! It is impossible not to smile around this boy, anything and everything makes him so happy and brings out his big smile (and will likely bring yours out too)! Barney has a wide range of facial expressions, from a silly grin to goofy looks to his trademark big HAPPY smile! He has a funny way of letting his tongue hang out sideways, has crazy zoomies that will leave you giggling, and loves giving kisses! He’s great with other dogs and kids, and is very curious about kitties! Barney has the zoomies when first brought out, but chills out until you tell him he’s a pretty boy … and then he’s all tail wags and happy hops again! Barney is pretty good on a leash, and even though he pulls a little bit, he will follow your lead. He is eager to go walking, meet new people, or basically to do anything that you want to do. Could that include going home with you? It’s time to meet Barney and find out! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
Wendi is a one year old female Boxer mix, who has the cutest smile ever! She is quiet and low key while in her cage, which sadly makes it easy for her to be overlooked as potential adopters walk through her area. But once she is taken out on a leash, Wendi’s big smile and wiggles show just how happy she is to be taken on a walk with you! After her initial excitement of getting out, she calms down quickly and is good on a leash. We have noticed that she is way too interested in the feral cats at the shelter, so we feel a home without cats would suit her best.  Wendi seems to be a little camera shy, because as soon as the camera came out during her “photo shoot”, she avoided looking directly at it! Still, the pictures show her adorable way of posing in a Down position, with her back legs fully sprawled out behind her. This sweet girl would be so happy in her furever home with people to love, lots of toys, and a nice soft bed. Story
Topher is a male Boxer mix, who is about 10 months old. He is a “chonky” boy with adorable spots on his face and a stubby tail, making him the cutest hunk of a dog ever! He came in to the shelter with several siblings, and currently lives in the same pen with his sister Joan. Topher is the more outgoing sibling of the two, so he is the first to greet people who approach their pen. He is super sweet, friendly and LOVES getting attention from people. Topher just has so much love to give, and wants to share that with you! Topher is fairly new to leash walks, but volunteers have been working with him and he is quickly improving as he learns the joys of a leash walk. Topher is a young and smart boy, and simply needs a loving home to let him reach his full potential as a wonderful companion. Is that home with you? Please meet Topher soon, and find out! Story
Joan is a female Boxer mix, who is about 10 months old. She came in to the shelter with several siblings, and currently lives with her brother Topher in the same pen together. Joan is much more shy than her brother, and typically lets him greet people first when they approach their pen. Soft treats and gentle words will usually help Joan warm up to someone new. Most of all, this super sweet girl simply needs time to learn to trust a new person. And once she does, Joan will absolutely adore you! It’s at that point that her precious and oh-so-lovable personality shines out. Joan has been a little unsure about leash walks, but volunteers are working with her such that she is quickly learning that the leash results in wonderful things. She is young and eager to please, so will thrive in a home wanting to provide additional training to let her blossom into an even more amazing companion. If you’re ready to welcome a beautiful pup full of love into your life, Joan is eagerly waiting to start your life together! Be sure to meet this precious girl soon! Story
He was called Morpheus at the shelter. His previous owner passed away unexpectedly and ended up at the Cobb County Animal Shelter until we pulled him.  He is house broken, a cutie pie and a gentleman per the shelter.  He is neutered and approx 43 lbs.  He does pull on a leash a little so he needs to work on this with his new family. He will require a totally fenced yard., He is a sweet energetic boy who loves to chase a ball.  He is crate trained.  He loves carrots, fresh green beans, apple slices, and blue berries with his food. He is current on vaccines and is on Simparica Trio. He is not recommended with small children. He's a thief sometimes if he finds something interesting in the trash can. ##1651601##

Story
Roger is a real looker and lover.  He is very playful. He would do best with a fenced yard.  Not sure how he is with cats. Their mom, Karen, is a beautiful girl that found herself and her babies heading to Clayton County Animal Control after being picked up as strays in a field. Roger is a very sweet playful dog.  A fenced in yard is highly recommended especially if you have other dogs that enjoy playing or sunning outside. Please also check out my available brother Kevin and sister Noelle that are still looking for a forever home. Roger has Luxating Patella issues in both back knees.  Our vet recommended that we re-check him in 2 to 3 months (went to vet in August) since his growth platelets aren't closed. ##1793403##

Story
Noelle is a very playful and smart. She gets along well with other dogs. She loves toys. She is a water dog.  She will stick whole face under water and blow bubbles. It is so funny to watch her. She is a year old boxer/terrier mix who weighs about 50 pounds. She would do great in a home with another young playful dog but ok as an only dog. She is shy around people at first. Once she warms up to you, she is a velcro dog. Her foster has a dog door which she loves and is house trained and crate trained. She listens to gentle *no*. Her face turns red through the white fur if she is nervous. If she is in a playful mood, she will attack the vacuum cleaner. Please also check out my available brothers Roger and Kevin that are still looking for a forever home. https://www.facebook.com/reel/1650418809128777 https://www.facebook.com/1555293309/videos/pcb.10223617594418669/7040176256082558 https://www.facebook.com/1555293309/videos/pcb.10223617594418669/428070840065582 https://www.facebook.com/1555293309/videos/pcb.10223184652955403/930973348404691 https://www.facebook.com/1555293309/videos/pcb.10223184656035480/3723316444554348 https://www.facebook.com/sonya.scheibler/videos/915837083417945 https://www.facebook.com/1555293309/videos/pcb.10222941756243137/242340945564221 https://www.facebook.com/1555293309/videos/pcb.10223383566248111/777082114396410 https://www.facebook.com/TreasuresLostandFoundLLC/videos/940385154347000     ##1804735##

Story
Meet Junior, a 2-year-old male Pit/Hound mix who is ready to bring boundless energy and joy into your life! This spirited boy is all about fun and play, and he is on a mission to make every day an adventure. Junior’s journey has not been easy—he came to us as a skinny, battered pup with a deeply embedded collar. After months of tender care and healing, Junior is now bursting with vitality and ready to find his forever home. Though Junior still sports a ring around his neck from his past, his resilient spirit shines through. He is an energetic bundle of joy who thrives on activity, so he is looking for an active family with a yard to run in or a schedule that includes regular trips to the park. Junior has made lots of friends here at the shelter and is a joy to have in our doggy play groups! He is very entertaining to watch playing with other dogs as they chase each other, roll around together, and play with toys. However Junior’s youthful exuberance means he might be a bit too boisterous for small children, as he can be mouthy and might inadvertently knock them over in his excitement. Despite his rough start, Junior is a loving, playful pup who deserves a second chance at a happy life. His zest for life and sweet, goofy personality makes him a fantastic companion for anyone ready to embrace his energy and enthusiasm. If you are looking for a loyal, lively friend who is eager to share endless fun and affection, Junior is the perfect match for you! Give this deserving boy the forever home he has been waiting for.
