Story
Bossy along with his brother and sister were found after being abandoned on a back road. They were very skittish, and it took a while to trap them. They had either not had much human interaction, or the interaction they had was not positive. Bossy is a shy pup who’s still learning to trust the world around him. He isn't quite ready for us to walk him on a leash, but he is very interested when we take his brother Pesto out for walks. With patience, love, and a quiet environment, Bossy is sure to continue gaining confidence and will make a great companion for the right person or family. His birthday is 4/24/22, he is neutered, up to date on shots, and weighs 35lbs. Bossy isn’t quite ready for adoption, but please let us know if you would like to meet him. *************************************************************************** This pet comes with an implanted 24 PetWatch microchip and free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service. *************************************************************************** This dog is available for adoption at the Humane Society of McCormick County is SC for an adoption fee. Pesto along with his brother and sister were found after being abandoned on a back road. They were very skittish, and it took a while to trap them. They had either not had much human interaction, or the interaction they had was not positive. Pesto is a sweet, shy pup who’s still learning to trust the world around him. While he can be walked on a leash and seems to enjoy being petted by people he knows, Pesto is still getting used to life outside of his comfort zone. He sometimes prefers to stay in his kennel, especially when there’s a lot going on around him. With patience, love, and a quiet environment, Pesto is sure to continue gaining confidence and will make a great companion for the right person or family. His birthday is 10/14/21, he is neutered, up to date on shots, and weighs 34lbs. Pesto isn’t quite ready for adoption, but please let us know if you would like to meet him. *************************************************************************** This pet comes with an implanted 24 PetWatch microchip and free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service. *************************************************************************** This dog is available for adoption at the Humane Society of McCormick County is SC for an adoption fee. Story
Ace aka Peabody is a sweet boy looking for his fur ever home. Ace came to us very skinny and in need of much love. He was also heartworm + and has just finished his last treatment. He is sweet and loving, but would need to be the only dog. He does not do well with other dogs or cats. He is energetic and also laid back at times. He is working on his potty training and he pulls a little on a leash. He loves to play ball and will fetch and he has other toys he likes. He would make a great addition to a loving family with energy and time for him.  Call us today about Ace!

Story
Harley Quinn- lovingly called Quinn is a happy girl despite her past having come from a situation where she was made to breed. She loves to lie around on a koosy bed or bathe in the sun on cool days. Quinn is sweet and playful, but can still get mouthy at times so no children under 8. She is dog selective so a meet and greet with family dog will be needed.

Story
Gremlin is an adorable pit/pug mix who's very unique and quite the character! He loves people, getting attention, and loves to play, but is very shy at first. He's a sweet, friendly boy. He tends to be dog selective and would do best and thrive as the only pet. He was rescued from a situation where he and other dogs were neglected and malnourished so he understandably tends to resource guard his food from other dogs for fear of not getting enough. Gremlin had a rough start but his life has turned around for the better and he's an all around great dog looking for a forever home! He is up to date of shots and preventions, crate trained and scheduled trained.

Story
Misfit is quite the character as her name suggests. She was pulled from an animal control shelter in Georgia and being a pittie mix and having special needs put her high on the euth list. Misfit has a left club foot and doesn't really let that slow her down but because of the deformity long walks and rough surfaces are not good for her. She is crate trained but has never been inside of a house so crating and schedule training are important when transitioning to a home. She also has a medical problem with her trachea. We truly don't know if this was a birth defect or from abuse and/or injury. She snorts and makes weird noises due to the drainage and this sometimes freaks out other dogs because they don't understand what she's trying to communicate. The noise may be annoying to people so an adopter with hearing loss would be great, LOL! She has played with other dogs but is dog selective so a meet and greet is necessary.Misfit is in good health otherwise and on no medications other than preventitives. Since it's a process for her to feel comfortable meeting new people, several meet and greets would be necessary and it would be best for her adopter to live locally to make this process more convenient. It would be so rewarding to win this sweet girl's trust and be able to give her a loving home!To inquire about an animal or submit an application visit https://www.hands2paws.org/adopt.html
