Story
A FUN, PLAYFUL & ACTIVE GUY:  Approx.  2 years old / Approx. 34 lbs.  Hi, my name is Asher!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I’m very grateful.  The volunteers are taken with my unusual breed mix and my handsome ginger brindle coat, and compact body.  I bet you will be too! I spent some time in the prison/foster training program offsite and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, though I can be barky when I see other dogs – not to worry – my trainer will show you how to introduce me to other dogs, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so if you have older dog-smart kids, let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a sweet guy who has earned the reputation of being ‘goofy and funny’ around the shelter.  I’m happy with a fun nature, and sure to be a great addition to your family.  I am full of playful energy and am not shy about speaking my mind, so I don’t think an apartment/condo type home would be a good fit for me. I’m a lot of dog in a little package. I’m also very sweet and fun! I was a very good boy, calm and sweet for my shelter bath.  Affectionate and social, I have all the traits of a great companion. I, however, am not the kind of dog you would take to the kids’ sporting events, or a busy park, etc. since I can be reactive. / My energy level is 8-9, so I am looking for a family member who will be active with me.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I will be learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer.  So far, I know the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’, ‘place’, and ‘drop it’ commands, as well as accept friendly strangers without jumping and utilize proper door etiquette.  I’m currently working on my leash manners using my gentle leader.  I get distracted by sounds I hear on my walk that I don’t recognize, so my trainer is using the ‘leave it’ command to keep me on track on our walks.  I’m very food motivated, so that makes my training fun and yummy! / I’m doing well in my little room at Mostly Mutts. / I’ve had only a couple of accidents on the shelter schedule, so I think I’ll do well in my new home once I know our schedule. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I LOVE toys and enjoy having fun with them when the volunteers break them out at the shelter.  I’d enjoy a nice, fenced yard where we can have lots of play sessions together.  When it’s time to chill, I always enjoy a good petting.  I also enjoy my walks, but I need a strong walker, as I am a strong boy and can be reactive to people and other animals on walks.  / I have been frightened by certain loud motors, the vacuum etc. so I don’t like those. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a dog savvy family where I will be a cherished family member!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 11, 2024, 6:52 am

Story
A SWEET & ACTIVE FRIEND:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 38 lbs.    Hi, I’m Kaylyn!  I was rescued from animal control, and I sure am happy about that!  I’ve been enjoying my time with the nice volunteers and now I hear that I’m ready to find my new family to love and be loved by – yippie!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off site and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I'm available to meet. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met some other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, and I wanted to play with them too, so if you have a dog at home already who would like a playful friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m described as fun, playful, friendly, sweet, and active – ready to enjoy the good life with my family! I can see us going for walks, playing and discovering lots of things to do together. I was a good girl for my shelter bath and brush out too. / My energy level is 6 - 8 so I’d like to be active with my family.   • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. I think that the stress of being at the shelter got to me, as a dog barked at me while I was on a walk and startled me, so I redirected and snapped at my walker leaving a mark on them.  / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I’m having some accidents on the shelter schedule, so please keep me on a good consistent take-out schedule so I can master my potty manners.   • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to zoom around in the MM play yard with the volunteers, so I’m sure I’d enjoy a fenced yard in my new home where we can play together.  I also love playing with toys and spending time with people. / I can’t think of any dislikes but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. If you’re looking for a wonderful friend to be active and have fun with, we could be great together!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 6, 2024, 9:44 am

Story
A SUPER SWEET PUPPY:  Approx. 6 – 7 months old / Approx. 25 lbs. & growing Hello – I’m Sophia!  I came to Mostly Mutts with my brother, and – as two young pups, we were super happy to become part of the Mostly Mutts family!  We are getting lots of attention and great care from the awesome shelter volunteers and now we’re both ready to find families of our very own!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program offsite and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I’m available to meet. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I came in with a sibling and I liked the other friendly dogs I met at Mostly Mutts, so if you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over, as I am an active and growing puppy!   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers describe me as a ‘total love bug’.  I truly see myself as a lap dog and have the BEST cuddle skills.  I’m super sweet and gentle with a typical friendly puppy playfulness you are sure to love.  I’m growing braver by the day with the bath sprayer and am a calm girl for the shampoo portion, which feels a lot like belly rubs and butt scratches. Lol. / My energy level is currently 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where so far, I have learned the ‘sit’, ‘come’, and ‘down’ commands.  I look forward to learning lots more great commands with my trainer.  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having quite a few accidents on the shelter schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  As mentioned, I’m a fan of butt scratches and belly rubs!  I will ask for them by charming you with the best big, brown puppy dog eyes you’ve ever seen.  I’m not yet interested in toys, but I bet you can show me how much fun they can be. / The cars on the road scare me.  I’m still working on my leash skills, as it is new to me, so I do better in the intake back yard.  Otherwise, I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and spayed.  I came in with some healing boo-boos/crusting skin and thin fur but it’s healing now.  I still need medicated baths for a little longer and these can be done in my new home. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.      December 4, 2024, 7:39 am

A WONDERFUL PUPPY:  Approx. 6 -7 months old / Approx. 34 lbs. & growing Hi, my name is Grant!  I came to Mostly Mutts with my sister, and – as two young pups, we were super happy to become part of the Mostly Mutts family!  We are getting lots of attention and great care from the awesome shelter volunteers and now we’re both ready to find families of our very own! I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off site and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I'm available to meet. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I like my sibling, and I was nice with the dogs I met at Mostly Mutts.  Although nervous at first, I’ve come out of my shell and enjoy playing with other dogs I’ve met at Mostly Mutts.  If you have a nice doggie that would like a playful puppy friend, let’s meet! / I met a cat recently at Mostly Mutts and was respectful, but a little scared of them.  I also met a cat in my temp. foster home and tried to play with them a little.  If you have a dog-friendly or dog-tolerant cat at home, let’s meet.  / I haven’t met kids yet, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over, as I am an active and growing puppy! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a playful and fun-spirited pup.  Though I did not love the bath sprayer at first during my shelter bath, I was quite affectionate and relaxed for the shampoo, scrub and second rinse.  I’m alert and a good listener with a sweet nature to boot.  I am both relatively low key and gentle, as well as an active puppy - sure to bring lots of love to my new family … and lots of smiles with my cute, little head tilt! / My energy level is currently 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I am learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  So far, I’ve mastered the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’ and ‘down’ commands.  I am a food-motivated guy, so training time is yummy!  I am still getting the hang of leash walking; however, I liked walking with my temp. foster’s doggie – I wanted to keep up with them!  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts.  I did potty in there in my temp. foster home when I was left alone.  / I've been having quite a few accidents on the shelter schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I’m always excited to be with the volunteers!  They take me to the play yard where I can expend my fun puppy energy.  I like to play with you, and I enjoy playing with toys independently – Nylabones, balls, and soft toys (without stuffing) are a few of my favorites!  I also like to cuddle and sleep in soft doggie beds.  / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I’m current on my immunizations, also micro-chipped and neutered.  I came in with some healing boo-boos/crusting skin around the base of my tail which has healed up nicely. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    December 20, 2024, 10:50 am

Story
Bentley is so loving and loyal. He is so chilled but alerts you when someone is approaching the house - a true protector. He has been the love of my life for 9 years since his birth and unfortunately my job is requiring me to travel abroad and Bentley needs a stable loving parent and/or family. He is motivated by snacks - his favorite is sweet potato doggie treats. He loves to play - wants you to pretend you’re taking his favorite toy away from him - he loves it! I feel so loved and safe in his presence and you will to. He deserves the absolute best parent(s) who can give him the love and care.

Story
Diamond!! This girl is so full of personality.Diamond is 4  years old ( born  Oct 2020), about 60-70 lbs athletic built. She is a mixed breed. I see Pitty in her face but her long, tall kangaroo legs and longer thicker coat could possible be husky. She is good with most dogs, however her full of energy personality can be too much for some dogs.  She would also be okay as an only dog as long as she had plenty of toys to play with. No Cats!!! She is excited to see kids and will run to them. She gets very excited and would probably knock over a small kid easily. 8 years old and up would be preferred. She has periods where she is energetic and playful and other times where she Just want to snuggle and be nearby. She thrives with consistency, structure and routines. She loves to play with her puppy friends, chase tennis balls and brings them back, frolic with a stuffy and play tug of war with a rope, leash, or tutu. After ten mins she is ready to come inside to eat breakfast and be with the family. Inside she looks for where her people are hanging out and wants to be on the bed with you, laying at for feet while your are working, or just hanging out near by.She gets a treat each time she goes into her crate. Frozen peanut kongs for long hours the days the foster family goes to work. She will rest quietly in her crate until the foster family gets home. She requires a heavy duty crate to keep her contained. She would not be for someone that doesn’t believe in crate training or doesn’t use the crate properly. The crate is there to keep her safe while waiting for her family to come home! She enjoys her supervised fenced time/playtime and has learned to go to the gate and paws at it when she wants to come back inside. She loves car rides, she gets so excited seeing new things, just hops right in as soon as you open the door. We have spent a lot of time on leash walking. She still needs a little fine tuning and often times she will grab the middle of the leash in an effort to walk herself. Just part of her Diamond charm. Adoption fee is $300 Diamond is fully vetted: vaccines, spayed, microchipped, tested negative for heartworms. To fill out an application visit https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/33868/generic ##1183334##
