PLEASE DO NOT ASK ABOUT AVAILABILITY OR EMAIL THROUGH PETFINDER or ADOPT-A-PET - WE CANNOT RESPOND - READ THE PROCESS BELOW.   If you're interested in any of our wonderful dogs, you must FIRST fill out an Adoption Application at our website listed below. Once we receive it, we'll forward it to the foster family for follow up. We are 100% foster based, so we don't have a facility. Review the process FAQ at our website.   Adoption applications can be found here:  http://labrescuefresno.org/available-labs/adoption-application/    Adoption Fees: Puppies, (2 years of age and under) – $400.00 Adult Dog, (3 through 8 years of age) – $350.00 Senior Dogs (9 years and up) – $200.00 Special consideration may be granted for dogs with medical needs or bonded pairs.      Cruise & Calliope Cruise – Black Male X, 1 year old, 50 pounds Calliope – Tan and White Female Boxer, 6 months old, 35 pounds Hello Lab Rescue Friends! Yes, we see her too! Would you leave her at the shelter? We didn’t think so! This is a little story about a sweet, sweet Boxer girl who helped a terrified little Labrador boy get through his time at the shelter. Both Calliope and Cruise somehow landed at a rural shelter. Because some of the most dedicated animal saviors volunteer at the shelters, one noticed that Cruise was not fairing well. Cruise would turn his back to the world outside his cage in a ball petrified. This is hard to watch for even the most seasoned shelter staff. They felt horrible for him and decided another young dog might help him, enter Calliope. The staff took every chance they could to put them together and they were right, she was what he needed to get through the stray hold period before they both could become LRRF dogs! We just could not leave Calliope behind! They have been fostered together and still absolutely adore each other. Besides, like the foster says “it’s so nice to have a Baby Boxer in the house after so many Labradors!!” They are an adorable little pair that would love to be adopted together but are also available separately. Calliope is a typical boxer pup with her adorable smooshy little face and sweet character. She loves to play chase and be chased around by Cruise and a few other foster siblings! She also frequently finds the older resident dogs to curl up with for naps. Cruise is your very typical lab! He’s much smaller than what we’re used to seeing but this dufus is a fun guy! They’re both shy and will take a minute to warm up, but both have come a long way in a short time. Neither is great on a leash yet, but both are fully house-trained. They have not been around kids or cats but we don’t anticipate either being a problem. If you think one or both of these pups would be the perfect addition to your family please apply at www.labrescuefresno.org    If you are interested in adopting through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, you must first fill out an Adoption Application located at our website www.LabRescueFresno.org All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines including rabies; flea/tick topical drops, heartworm tested and microchipped. Thank you for opting to adopt!!    Adoption Fee: Puppies, (2 years of age and under) – $400.00 Adult Dog, (3 through 8 years of age) – $350.00 Senior Dogs (9 years and up) – $200.00 Special consideration may be granted for dogs with medical needs or bonded pairs.   January 23, 2025, 1:41 pm

Story
Meet Franny! This medium sized girl loves people. She does well with male dogs, with proper introductions. She needs a couple minutes to warm up and let her guard down, then she does enjoy playing and hanging out with another dog, though she does prefer to be the boss. No cats please. She has a low to medium energy and walks well on leash. She enjoys the water, car rides, shopping trips and loves playing with toys. She has a very mellow, sweet and silly personality. She is not destructive in her kennel and would love a nice, warm home to call her own. Franny originally came to us pregnant in 2021. All of her puppies have long since been adopted as she has sat in the shelter waiting for her turn! Come meet this beautiful girl at our shelter. To learn more about our adoption process, our fees and to apply to adopt from Fresno Bully Rescue, please visit https://fresnobullyrescue.org/adopt*Must be 18 or older to apply for adoption

Story
Meet Ellie, a lovable girl looking for her forever home! She was adopted as a puppy and was recently returned due to a breakup and no fault of her own. Since she spent her whole life in a home, the shelter was initially very overwhelming for her, and she can sometimes be nervous and take a moment to warm up to new people. She is doing much better at meeting most people and is generally happy to see most visitors. Once she settles in, she is happy and playful and cannot get enough affection. She lived with children in her previous home and did great. She may do best with older kids as she turns into a bit of a bowling ball when she gets anxious (as she may be initially settling into a new home) and may knock over a small child. She has never shown any aggression. She gets along well with other dogs. No cats please. She also rides well in the car and was excited to see everybody when she`s taken a trip to the vet. With her wagging tail and joyful spirit, Ellie is ready to bring warmth and happiness to your home. All she needs is a chance to shine! Come meet this fantastic girl at our shelter!
