Story
Say hello to athletic Ali (like Muhammad Ali). This sporty pup has ALL the energy. Ali is not a good match for a first time dog owner, home with small children or unsteady humans, folks with weak arms or shoulders, or anyone looking for a couch potato dog. That`s not Ali. Ali is a go-go-go type of dog. He wants to live every moment of life to the fullest! Adventure! Exercise! Play! Laughter! Toys! More play! More adventure! He’d love a life where he had a safe yard with very high fencing, humans who like to run or hike and have a good foundation of dog experience, and of course- lots of toys to play with and destroy with impressive skill. Ali needs training- at only 9months old he’s in a bit of a teenage phase. He’s strong and motivated on leash and relatively moderate in his reaction to other dogs as he walks past kennels. Ali has a zest for play and adventure which is charming and inspiring. Don’t we all need that one friend that gets us out the door doing new things? Well, that’s Ali! If Ali sounds like the buddy for you, come visit the Burbank Animal Shelter to meet him!

Story
Hopper is a loving and protective family dog. He plays hard and loves even harder. His favorite things are laughter, kisses, and cuddles. I have had the pleasure of being Hopper’s foster mom for one year. When he arrived it was apparent that he was just under a year old and had never had formal training. He is now potty trained, kennel trained, knows basic commands as well as some tricks, and has been neutered. Although he walks well on leash, he is still learning. He has proven to play well with other dogs (my dog and the dogs at the dog park). He is recommended for someone that has kids over 10. Although he can be very gentle and laid back, he has aloof boxer energy and could knock smaller children down by accident while playing or celebrating. He is not recommended for those entering their golden years for the same reason. Hopper would love to share a home with another dog and kids, he has not been tested with cats but cats are not recommended. Please reach out if you would like to meet Hopper. He is currently located in San Diego.

Story
Buford was found in the streets of LA by a good Samaritan, skin and bones, then luckily found himself in a warm foster home with a pack of three other wonderful large dogs. He has proven to be a real gem, melding in nicely and being a perfect gentleman in his foster home, and is now ready for his forever home. This 90 lb love bug enjoys many things: sun bathing, cuddling and snuggling on bed or couch, playing fetch, watching Netflix with his human buddy, and playing with his stuffed animals. He is a quick learner and so easy to please - sits on command, goes to his pen when asked and at mealtime where he patiently awaits his food, goes potty before bedtime and is a great all night sleeper, knows how to properly position himself in front of the fan for summertime cool-off, and eager to learn more tricks! His best fit home is one with a good sized yard for him to run around in, and people ready to take him out for walks, hikes and adventures (with continued work on his leash training he will be that perfect outdoor companion). Anyone ready to call him part of their family will be very very lucky. If you think you are a good fit, please email therealbark@gmail.com so you can meet him!

Story
Macaroni is a smart, playful, and energetic pup with a lot of love to give. He’s fantastic with people and has a natural friendliness that shines when meeting new faces. He has lived peacefully with both big and small dogs, displaying a playful and non-aggressive nature. Macaroni knows “sit” and learned it quickly (just a few treats did the trick!), showing how eager he is to please and learn.Training Needs:Macaroni is still working on his leash manners. He’s strong and sometimes treats the leash like a toy, pulling with excitement. He would benefit from some leash training to help him channel his energy and focus. With the right guidance, he’ll make big strides, as he’s already showing a willingness to learn.Playtime Preferences:This boy loves his red ball and a good game of tug-of-war. He’s still learning how to let go of his toys, but he’s getting there! Macaroni’s enthusiasm sometimes makes him a bit of a “space invader,” so he might do best in a family without very small kids.Overall:Macaroni is a young, loving dog who just needs a family ready to guide him through his training and give him plenty of love and playtime. With his intelligence and eagerness to please, he’s bound to be a wonderful companion!I`m available for a 10 day adoption trial!Learn more about our adoption process.

Story
Meet Trina, a lovable 1-year-old pit bull mix who’s ready to find her forever home! Trina is a sweet, energetic girl with a big heart and a playful spirit. She’s a fan of cozy couch cuddles and loves nothing more than spending time with her favorite people—she’s always excited to greet visitors and will shower you with affection. Trina enjoys playing tug-of-war and fetch, and she’s especially fond of squeaky toys, which keep her entertained for hours. This sweet girl is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows how to sit on command—especially when there are treats involved! She’s a calm and well-behaved companion when indoors and is a great work-from-home buddy, happily keeping herself entertained while you work. She’s also a great car passenger, sitting contentedly in the backseat without any issues.Trina has a natural instinct to chase small animals, so she would do best in a home without cats or other small pets. She’s also a little cautious around new people on walks, but once she gets to know you, she’s all love and affection. Trina does pull on the leash when she’s excited, especially if she spots another dog, but with some continued leash training, she’ll be an even better walking buddy.Trina may be a bit of a handful at times, especially when her excitement gets the best of her, but her loving and loyal nature will win you over in no time. She’s looking for a home where she can enjoy her toys, playtime, and lots of cuddles. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and affectionate companion, Trina could be the perfect fit for you! She’s ready to meet her forever family—could that be you?Trina is available for a 10 day adoption trial!Learn more about our adoption process.
